We only went to the bistro/café, which is open to everyone. The atmosphere is great. The music is relaxed and the staff is very friendly. 😊We can recommend the poppy seed slices and the cappuccino.The stews are also delicious. The price-performance ratio is also good. There are games and Lego for children.

As a safari game driving guide who spent a lot of time in Pendjari Parc Benin and Lower zambezi Parc in Zambia (Africa ) Destinatire Dorf in Hitzacker in Germany reminds me of living in the wild nature. I really enjoyed the concept ❤️✅

We spent a mother/son weekend in a Cabin Plus and we loved it! It's been a long time since I've slept so well and you're in the middle of nature and still have many amenities. Glamping! Gladly again!

Were recently on holiday here for 7 days. Really nice idea. Nice facility. The two of us had a destinature summer cabin. In terms of space and storage space, it was completely fine. Unfortunately it got a bit cold at night but the heating in the huts helped a lot! You can also get a hot water bottle in the bistro :) The hut is otherwise very well maintained and clean. Bedding fresh and clean. Mattresses very comfortable. The hut had electricity and there was also WiFi at the bistro. You can wash and dry your laundry for free.The sanitary facilities are like those at a camping site outside. These are clean and tidy in themselves. Sometimes there was hair and leaves in the showers. Sometimes the light would go out while showering in the evening, which was a bit irritating. Showers and bathrooms are also heated. However, there are only two showers and two toilets. It wasn't that busy for us, but I can imagine if it's fully booked in the summer you might have to wait. The staff were really nice and friendly. Very tasty breakfast! And also delicious and easily digestible food in the bistro! Drinks a bit expensive.We also borrowed bikes for one day. Great wheels from myBoo! Everything went quickly and easily. However, there are no helmets. Bicycle tour along the dike to Dömitz and then back again. A lot of headwind but destinature can't help that :) really beautiful nature around! If you're into using the saunas and hot tubs, they're really worth a visit. You can add fire yourself with wood and change the temperature. The sauna is even open free of charge on Friday and Saturday. We also borrowed a canoe one day. We would have liked a little introduction. The water and the jetty where you put the boat into the water are a short distance from the camp. But with a rolling device it wasn't a problem to get the boat there. However, the boats are very heavy. Really beautiful nature around the Alte Jeetzel and the Hitzacker See. Saw a beaver, kingfishers and an osprey. It doesn't get any better.Unfortunately, the location is more designed for cars. There is only one bus in town and it only runs once an hour. From Hotzacker train station you have to walk a bit to the village.Overall the price is okay. Nice vacation!

A very pleasant place for all ages. Friendly staff, nice cafe/restaurant. Huts and sanitary facilities are very well maintained and pleasant.The old town can be reached on foot in just a few minutes.

We felt very comfortable. I've read a few bad reviews that I don't agree with - the staff were consistently friendly and open (just a little slow at times, but that didn't bother me).We found the holiday village to be very family-friendly and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The bistro is great - we found everything we needed.The only thing we didn't quite like was the comfort of the beds - but it was bearable.There was attention to detail everywhere: the fragrant soap in the (bathroom) as well as free shampoo and shower gel, the great workhouse furnishings, the breakfast buffet was small but nice. Towels, bedding (various pillows), laundry hanger, sockets - everything is there - everything is great!We really liked the location. We left the car and reached everything within walking distance (e.g. the beautiful outdoor pool, the ferry, the dwarves). Hitzacker is a pretty place.We will definitely come back & recommend!

Nice place along the Elbe.We spent one night here in a cabin that was provided to us, although they can only be booked for two nights or more.The small terrace at each hut, the beds, the smell in the huts, everything is very pleasant.Dinner and breakfast were very good, all vegetarian dishes and a lot of vegan if relevant.

Our expectations were limited, but the space couldn't even live up to them.The place is not, as the name suggests, “Destinature”, close to nature. We hear the cars driving by right next door, and one street further we find a Netto. I would rather call it an overnight stay at a garden club!The lake for canoeing is a joke, an absolutely bad one. You could rent a bike for 10 euros, but what to do with it? No connection to nature anywhere, I could have gone on a bike ride through the city.The staff was extremely unsympathetic, no hello, no smile, no understanding for people who wanted to see something new.Absolute failure, just don't book.

We stayed here on our bike tour. We really liked the idea and the implementation and it was something different than hotel rooms etc. For us as campers, the topic of “sanitary facilities” was not a problem. Especially since the shower and toilet were very clean and everything seemed very new and well maintained. The cabins had bed linen & towels, so everything was taken care of. There was storage space for all the luggage under the hut or in the boxes on the small hut veranda where there was also seating. There is also a bistro where you can have breakfast and dinner. You can also reach a supermarket in 5 minutes on foot. If you are looking for an alternative and value sustainability, you should definitely stop here.

We stopped here for a cafe as part of the cultural country trip.We were allowed to visit one of the tiny houses.That's nothing for us. Innovative, yes - but totally mini and primitive in execution. An interior temperature of 31 degrees at 26 degrees indicates poor insulation despite roof shading with fabric panels.It's probably something for convinced hardcore fans.

We slept here for one night on a bikepacking tour. The idea & implementation is great! We had 2 summer cottages with 4 people and had booked in advance through Booking. We then had to pay on site (€138 in total, card payment possible). The shower and toilets were super clean, everything was very new and well maintained. The cabins had bed linen & towels, so everything was taken care of. The bistro was open until 8 p.m., a bit short if you arrive late after a long tour and still want to eat, but we still got something. The pasta plate cost €7.50, for example, was filling and delicious. We also saw the pizza snack, also €7.50 (I think it's a bit expensive for two small pieces).I generally thought it was great that everything was designed for sustainability, organic, etc.!We had to wait about 10-15 minutes both when we arrived at the reception and when ordering our food. That was a bit long, especially because it was more like the staff chatted among themselves and were in no hurry to get to the reception.& take something with you against mosquitoes.Otherwise everything was great!

We have always enjoyed staying at destinature, so to speak, we have been regular guests since 2020. However, we are very disappointed with our last visit. From an unfriendly check-in without a greeting, to sticking doors and old socks in the hut, to a rather reluctant acceptance of the order for dinner and a waiting time of an hour for it, a lot of things in the service were not right this time. Especially after we raised these points with the person in charge on site, there was only a narrow “no problem”.
