Just a stone's throw to Aller or Verden CathedralBehind the inconspicuous, elongated building on the “Reeperbahn” street in the small town of Verden is a hotel with 45 rooms that have more to offer than one would think from the outside. In addition, it is only a stone's throw from the hotel (less than 100 meters) to the Aller River and the Verden Allerpark. The cathedral and the city center are also within walking distance, less than 5 minutes from the hotel.In October 2024 I booked a room with a city view for 84 euros, which was equipped as follows: good double bed, closet, desk, seating, telephone, television, luggage rack, carpet - everything clean, modern and functional. The bathroom was furnished to match. A free bottle of water was available in the room as a welcome. Although the room faced Reeperbahn Street, you couldn't hear any vehicle noise or anything like that. Now you can't even remotely compare the Reeperbahn in Verden with the one in Hamburg. This is more of a city street with parking options close to the Allerpark.The hotel has an elevator to the first floor. It offers free parking and also a breakfast offer (10 euros per person), but I didn't make use of it. The breakfast room, which I looked at in passing, looked inviting. Some corridor sections in the hotel were less pleasant to look at, as the carpet in the corridor was noticeably stained in several places and needed to be cleaned.The “Thöles am Allerpark” hotel is also popular with cyclists who cycle on the Aller cycle path, as it offers good storage for bikes in a spacious garage. The hotel also offers bike rental upon request. You can do this by contacting the reception, which was staffed by friendly and helpful staff during my stay. On the day I checked in (it was a Saturday), the reception was only open until 5 p.m. You could then open the door at any time using a button on the key to get into the hotel.You should definitely use a hotel stay to stroll through the nearby city center, whose pedestrian zone can be reached in just a few minutes. From there you can also reach Verden Cathedral or, in another direction, the town hall forecourt, where it is worth taking a look at the partly pretty house facades. Of course, even a short detour to Aller, which is nearby, is enriching, especially since a staircase with seating is being built there in the near future.A little tip: If you book in time, you can often get a double room for 84 euros. A week before check-in the prices then rise, especially since the hotel is often fully booked.

We received a very friendly welcome. Our bicycles were stored in the garage. We were allowed to shop in the rooms. The rooms were very large and clean. The bathroom was large and the shower was on the ground floor. The hotel is close to the Weser cycle path. In town Many restaurants and pubs are within walking distance. The nice shopping street can be reached on the parallel street in 2 minutes. The breakfast was very good with a large selection. The dining room was too small and we couldn't get a seat. The service immediately showed us a table in the next room I would go to this hotel again

We arrived as bicycle tourists and stayed in 9 different hotels in addition to the 650 km long bicycle route along the Weser long-distance cycle path.The bicycle garage was very large and offered us more space than anywhere else. Therefore perfect for bicycle tourists. Service and breakfast were also completely ok for all of us.Thank you for the short-term cancellation option, even if we didn't need it. But this was an important criterion for us as bicycle tourists.

Beautiful mid-range Garni hotel in the district town of Verden. Friendly staff, good breakfast, large rooms, parking right next to the house. Short distance to restaurants and shops in the city, 30 minutes by car to Bremen, 60 minutes to Bremerhaven and Hanover. Possibility of renting a bike!

Went to this hotel for the second time this year. Were very satisfied again. Service anyway, big thanks to the employees there.The only thing I would like to mention as a suggestion for the hotel would be a refrigerator in the room. We had our dog with us and he gets wet food and it has to be stored in a cool place. We had to throw away half a can each because we couldn't give them any more food in the evening. Especially in warm temperatures, some people have something to keep cool.Otherwise, we will definitely come back.

Positive things to note were the very good price, the friendly staff and the cleanliness of the beds. The hotel is also very suitable for holidaymakers with bicycles as it has its own bicycle cellar where you can store your bikes.The cleanliness in the hallway could be improved, the carpet urgently needs to be cleaned. In addition, the furnishings are very spatan and everything is quite bare. For a little more ambience and a feel-good atmosphere, it would need a few pictures or something similar on the walls.All in all you can say that it is completely ok and the price was really good.

Very modern hotel. Rooms were clean and big enough. The only thing I can complain about, which the hotel cannot help with, is that it is located on a street. But it's quiet there after 10 p.m. All in all very recommendable. The breakfast was fantastic and very varied. Something for everyone. I'd love to come back!!!
