The hotel, the room, the service, the breakfast, everything was great.If it weren't for the problem with the booking.If you want to book directly, you have to do a lot of financial research.So provide all account details.Which I don't want for data protection reasons.It would be better to use e.g. PayPal.So for now only via booking.com.Too bad!!!!

Nice hotel with a great location.Very suitable for hiking. Motivated and very friendly employees. Our dog was very welcome and was also allowed into the restaurant. The room was very clean and quiet (only tip: mosquito net in front of the window). We really enjoyed our vacation. What was absolutely outstanding was the sauna. For 5 euros per person, you can relax here for a long time. The sauna has its own infusion function and is at 85 degrees with 20 percent humidity. The Ruhr area is very beautifully designed. The breakfast buffet was first class. Everything you could wish for was there and more. Really highly recommended.

We were asked to only post positive things on Google and report negative things to the hotel, but we do not believe this procedure is appropriate.So here are our experiences:The Waldhotel zum Bergsee Damme is neither in the forest nor on the mountain lake.It is located on the outskirts of Damme, at a roundabout and a fairly busy road that is also used by trucks.Depending on the location of the room, it may not be quiet if the windows are open.The room itself was large, well-equipped and, along with a large shower room, spotlessly clean.The reception is not open all the time.A stay in the hotel, for example to drink a cup of coffee, is only possible during opening times, otherwise only a stay in the separately accessible rooms.The hotel has a permanent employee who strives to manage day-to-day business with humor, hard work and commitment.She urgently needs to be treated to a colleague.Otherwise there are only some temporary workers from outside the industry that change daily and no cook.Accordingly, there are mostly ready-made foods, fried foods or cold plates, but no cooked meals (and that's with half board).The breakfast is rich and tasty, but unfortunately only offers a choice between two baked rolls of the cheapest and most tasteless variety.Only on public holidays is there a better selection.The Waldhotel zum Bergsee Damme undoubtedly has potential, but the personnel problems need to be solved.

Centrally located, no problem within walking distance of the city or the forest. Staff was always super friendly. Breakfast was very good, everything you needed was there, the atmosphere in the restaurant was nice. Our room was a bit small and had no window in the bathroom, a small drawback. Highly recommended for cyclists and hikers.

A really cozy, very clean hotel. Were very positively surprised because the hotel only has three stars. We stayed in the old building and felt very comfortable. Nice, modern rooms, good food, very nice staff. Also positive was the free parking lot (we also know hotels where parking costs 15 euros per night) and the bicycle parking space, where the bikes could also be charged.So all in all a great hotel that we can definitely recommend.

I had the pleasure of spending a night at the Waldhotel Bergsee in Damme and can highly recommend it. The room was modern and stylishly furnished, which created a very pleasant atmosphere. What is particularly positive is the good parking facilities directly at the hotel, which made arrival and departure very uncomplicated.The breakfast buffet was excellent - a large selection of fresh and delicious dishes that left nothing to be desired. I was particularly impressed by the service: When there was a problem with the door lock at night, it was fixed immediately and professionally, so I felt like I was in good hands at all times.Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable stay in a hotel that offers both comfort and excellent service. I'd love to come back!

We were in an apartment in the new building. The apartment is super nice, clean and functionally furnished.We were also able to use the laundry room to iron the clothes we needed for the party the following day.On the first evening we ate in the bistro. The food was delicious. We catered for ourselves for breakfast. Family members who also stayed there raved to us about the rich and great breakfast.We will definitely stay at the Waldhotel again when we are in Damme.

I spent two nights in this hotel and was completely satisfied. The service was simply excellent – the staff were always friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nicely decorated, modern and clean. I particularly liked the rich breakfast buffet, which offered a great selection and was of high quality. I can definitely recommend this hotel and will happily come back!

Hotel per se clean, friendly staff, parking lot. Or the apartment everything is secure through codes. Breakfast is really great!You should definitely make sure that you don't choose a comfort room on the side of the street, as it's simply right on the street and cars drive at night and are too loud when the windows are open!My personal impression is that everything is ok, but the building looks more like a fast hotel like in the USA. But that's a matter of taste. Comfort room large and modern. OK for two nights

This was our third time at the Waldhotel and, as always, we really enjoyed it. Beautiful rooms, very nice staff, a fantastic breakfast buffet and we also enjoyed the dinner very much. Our dogs are always welcome and even get a small welcome gift :-)The Waldsee and the center are easily accessible on foot.
