Beautiful house in a quiet location, breakfast and dinner rich and tasty, restaurant also for day guests but in a separate area. Attentive service. Rooms are attractively furnished, relatively large and accessible via a lift. Sauna is available but was not used. Hildesheim is easily accessible on foot and worth a weekend tour.I would book this hotel again!

Basically a very nice hotel with a great restaurant and a great location. For me personally, the rooms are unfortunately very noisy, but I'm very sensitive to them anyway.

Nice hotel in a beautiful location with abeautiful panoramic view of Hildesheim. Verynice staff and tasty food and breakfast buffet. Excellent base for visits to Hannover and Hildesheim.

Basically the hotel has nice rooms and the location is quiet.It's a bit far to the center and the connection isn't quite optimal either.The worst thing is that my shoes were stolen in the lobby when I went to the toilet. I was neither helped nor did anyone know anything about the shoes.This was probably because they were expensive.So I wouldn't go there again.

Nice hotel that towers over Hildesheim. 15 minutes by car to the city center. Unfortunately, the rooms are really getting old. I was given a former smoking room on the ground floor. It was very annoying how it still smelled in the room. Then the walls were really thin. I could hear everyone what my neighbors were doing and when they went to the toilet or bathroom. The service was nice and courteous. But it couldn't help me much because the hotel was fully booked. Everything was clean, but it felt used a lot. No fridge and little space doesn't sound like a 4 star hotel to me. Unfortunately I have to say. The prices and especially those of the restaurant are too high for that. Unfortunately, in the other reviews you can see the copy and paste reaction of the hotel management, which for me is not a sign of problem-solution oriented.The most absurd thing is the light switch on the headboard of the bed. I probably turned on the light 4 times during the night.

MOUNTAIN WOODSWe would give 10 stars if it were possible!Our wedding at the Parkhotel Berghölzchen was simply perfect. The contact with the event planner in the months before the wedding was always very courteous and excellent. In the days before the wedding reception and during the celebration itself, the catering was absolutely first-class and confident. Every single request was taken into account and we had the freedom to design everything as flexibly and freely as possible.The food was extremely delicious, and Christian from catering was sovereignty personified. The location itself is beautiful, with easy parking, a wonderful panorama and very clean and tidy hotel rooms. As a wedding couple, we felt very comfortable there and will definitely recommend the Berghölzchen to others. We will look back very fondly on our wedding at this location.We would particularly like to emphasize the interpersonal level between the staff and us. Everyone was really friendly and respectful, and you could tell the staff had fun at work - despite the really long working hours due to our wedding celebration.Many thanks to the entire team at Parkhotel Berghölzchen for this unforgettable day!

What I experienced here is something I have never experienced in any hotel before.After a colleague and I were forgotten, we shared a room, which was only available because someone didn't show up. A replacement could not be provided.In the evening I got 2 beers on the house without any communication. The next day I asked if this was a one-off thing as compensation. The waiter asked colleagues about the situation and explained to me that I could drink whatever I wanted all evening. When I check out I ultimately have to pay for all the drinks. Since the trainee waiter made a mistake, I should be able to understand that, something like what the hotel manager said.Afterwards, my colleague told me that he had heard at the reception that the staff had discussed that someone with room number xy wanted to get drunk for free. I'm really at a loss for words.0% communication0% customer focus100% incompetenceThank you for the nice stay, 2 free beers and the forgotten hotel room in this tourist trap! The management literally made my stay unforgettable.

We celebrated our wedding at the Parkhotel Berghölzchen and can fully recommend this hotel.Professional support before, during and after the wedding (especially from Ms. Leopold and her team), top service, first-class food and the fantastic location in the countryside with a view of the city of Hildesheim make this hotel something very special.We would love to come back for another celebration.

A nice hotel with very friendly staff - we were greeted shortly after midnight by the nice employee at the counter and shown the hotel's features. The rooms were clean, the WiFi was reliable, and you receive the code directly when you check in. There were electric car charging stations and quite a lot of parking spaces - great.Unfortunately, a very big downer is the lack of sound insulation: conversations in the hallway could be heard loudly, and noises from the other rooms were also clearly audible. Here, savings were made at the wrong end or design errors were made, but in any case the sound insulation doesn't work at all. Too bad.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 1 night to attend a wedding. We arrived approximately 3:39pm at the hotel, after the check in time. On the day of check out before 11am, we returned the room key and we were getting ready to pay. However, the front desk reception said our room is covered by the bride/groom and I am not required to pay for the stay. So we left. After almost 2 weeks, the hotel sent me an invoice to pay for the 1 night in the hotel and also they charged me early arrival fee of 10 euro per hour per person. This does not make sense. And we are not happy on this miscommunication and lack of competency. We are still trying to resolve this with the hotel but we have not received any response yet. Please be careful while booking with this hotel.

Very nicely located hotel. The details are a bit outdated. The rooms are very noisy and do not meet today's soundproofing standards. The food in the restaurant was flat, most of it convinience, at least what was served to us. Luckily we were just passing through.

We were in transit on August 31st. stayed overnight in the Berghölzchen. The Parkhotel Berghölzchen is beautifully situated above Hildesheim and invites you to linger. Our room was really spacious and our four-legged friend was also welcome there, although carpet and a dog are not always the best combination.Unfortunately, our stay was somewhat marred by the dinner we had booked in advance for 38 euros per person. Depending on availability, it should be a 3-course menu or buffet. When we were there there was a buffet, probably because there was a wedding reception going on at the same time. Unfortunately, the buffet, which we had already booked in advance for 38 euros, was offered to another company for 25 euros. Same food, same service, etc. When we asked, we were told that our booking was a completely different arrangement. Unfortunately, to this day I still don't understand what added value we got from the price difference of 13 euros per person.The feeling we were left with when we asked was more along the lines of bad luck. Both in the evening and in the morning there was no welcome at reception, just a shrug of the shoulders.Basically a nice place, it was tasty too, but if we stop at the Berghölzchen again, we'd better order from the menu in the evening, because for 38 euros you can find something good to eat and don't have the feeling at the end of the evening, I Unfortunately I have to say that I was ripped off.

Charm of the 80s, rooms quite sparse with well-preserved old bathrooms with a bathtub. No minibar, no air conditioning. The service fluctuates between very friendly and untrained and helpless. The breakfast buffet is run of the mill with cheap rolls and no signage. The view is beautiful and the price of parking is low. Too little service for the overnight price.
