When I entered the room, I noticed an unpleasant smell, but I couldn't place it and it wasn't present throughout the entire room. So I thought maybe the toilet wasn't completely clean or a drain had dried out.I had to move on straight away and didn't think anything of it.At first I was able to sleep well, but around 11:40 p.m. I was woken up by a scratching/gnawing sound. Unfortunately, when I woke up and turned on the light, I couldn't see anything. I still checked to see if there were any traces and then I noticed an intense smell of feces at the bathroom door. However, I couldn't see anything. The smell was also concentrated in this area. Since I had to get up early and there was no smell in bed because the window was tilted, I tried to sleep again, but this was no longer possible. It was quiet but the night was over. Later I heard something crawling again and then the bathroom door squeaked briefly but again nothing to see. It was then clear to me that there would be no second night in this hotel and I booked another hotel for the next night. In the morning I packed my things and informed the gentleman at the reception. He offered me another room but I knew that I wouldn't be able to sleep peacefully there either. He didn't find my booking straight away and said there was someone in the room with a different name.Before I posted my review online, I also had contact with the service. An apology was made and the matter will be investigated.When my review was online, the hotel asked me to delete my review from booking and then I would be refunded for the night that I did not spend at the hotel. It's just not possible to simply delete reviews on booking. I reported this upon request. After that I was no longer contacted by email. And I don't want any further contact. I know what I heard and smelled. Who leaves the booked room voluntarily and then incurs double the costs?

The location near the main train station is usually a bit “suboptimal”, as was the case in this case.But rooms clean and tastefully designed.Staff very friendly and helpful!Price/performance ratio good to very good.Gladly again.

Absolutely terrible experience. The area is definitely not safe.It’s in one of the city’s red-light districts, and there were drug addicts hanging around everywhere.We didn’t feel secure at all!Booking.com has been informed as well!On top of that, the staff were incredibly unfriendly and unhelpful, making the whole experience even worse.I couldn’t believe how poorly this location is managed. Would never recommend this place to anyone who values their safety or good customer service.

Modern, very well-maintained hotel with very clean rooms. Friendly, accommodating service. Excellent price/performance ratio.Location near the train station, quiet - but close to the red light district. However, it was not a problem. 2 nights Sunday & Monday

Actually right next to the red light district, you can also avoid it on footWe were welcomed very nicely, in the evening around 9 p.m., we were able to get coffee from the machine and were allowed to use the refrigerator👍👍👍The breakfast was acceptable, but there are definitely better breakfastsThe room was ok so far, the toilet seat should be replaced, it was fine for one night

Rooms are noisy, showers need to be cleaned thoroughly.Check-in is tedious if you haven't checked in online beforehand. Had to enter all the data myself for 4 people. I wasn't in the mood for that after a strenuous car journey.Breakfast and coffee were greatLocation perfect for train travelers

Very disappointing experience.Many things don't fit here.First of all, the room wasn't clean. Dirt on the floor in the room and in the bathroom. When you first touch the shower door, the handle on the glass door breaks off. The baby bed we ordered was not in the room.Terrace boards broken, risk of injury. We ignore the fact that the room is in the attic, the temperature of which can almost be described as a sauna today.The absolute highlight shortly before 10 p.m.While you're sleeping, people suddenly come into the room with a room card. It was probably assigned twice/wrongly.Then an employee who has no plan comes up and says we are in the wrong room. (By the way, for 6 hours!!)Instead of a small child, we are supposed to travel with 2 small dogs and the names were mixed up when he read the booking to us.When we checked in we also noticed that another guest had already been given an occupied room today. So it was probably not an isolated case but rather bad organization.The receptionist also looked like he was on the verge of burnout.Very unfortunate...
