Unfriendly service and catastrophic roomUpon arrival we were immediately greeted with the words “You booked cheaply” – an inappropriate comment. The room was freezing cold and there were damp towels on the bed. When we complained about this, the operator just said that it "gets warm quickly" and promised to bring us dry towels.Later, when we returned to the room, the operator had lowered the shutters and turned down the heating on his own initiative. The next morning the heaters were ice cold again by 9:00 a.m. When we brought this up, the operator reacted extremely unfriendly and said: "You can also go and pay three times as much somewhere else."In the end we left early and instead of an apology he insulted us as "parasites". We have never experienced such treatment in any other hotel. Despite everything, we got our money (235 euros for three nights) back in full. Here are some more pictures of the condition of the room:Damaged curtainsDirty closetDamaged wallDamaged surfaces in the roomBottom line: We cannot recommend this hotel. Service and condition of the room were absolutely unacceptable.

Hospitality mixed. The room left a lot to be desired. Old-fashioned and neglected. There was minimal mold on the windows. The breakfast was simply and cheaply prepared, coffee was only lukewarm and the selection was poor. No fixed breakfast times. The host makes breakfast whenever he feels like it. The statement was that he wanted breakfast at 7 a.m. and he couldn't do that because he was still asleep. HE didn't know whether he had booked privately or commercially or whether he had booked it by email and confirmed it again. This is not a hotel but an apartment building and nothing more.Simply not recommended.See photos.

You should think carefully about whether you want to spend the night there.

Good hotel for a few nights. Bed and room were clean. Above all, the price is extremely fair. If you want more “luxury” in Cuxhaven, you have to dig deeper into your pockets and look for something else. If you don't care too much about it, this is the right place for you. 👍

Room quite small, enough for a few nights. Old furniture, a bit of dust here and there, but apparently clean, especially towels and bed linen.TV runs via WLAN, unfortunately not stable. Old kettle that doesn't switch off by itself, risk of fire! Free street parking. If you're lucky, nearby.Edit: The landlord doesn't seem to be open to criticism, but he has replaced the kettle.

We booked a quiet double room in February 2024 and got a miserable room on the ground floor (No. 9) facing the street! Wardrobe, boxes and mattresses were broken! …

Hospitality mixed. The room left a lot to be desired. Old-fashioned and neglected. There was minimal mold on the windows. The breakfast was simple and cheaply prepared. Coffee was only lukewarm and the selection was poor. We were offered a lot more over the phone. This accommodation is definitely not recommended.
