Very nice, centrally located hotel in the middle of Lüneburg. The hotel rooms are rustic and nice, a bit cramped but well furnished. Good service in the hotel with very friendly staff. The entrance area to the abbot's house/hotel, 4 stars, full of bird droppings, the roofing is even worse. The window panes at the entrance to the hotel were also full of bird droppings. Disgusting.Open power lines opposite the elevator. Hopefully not even a child can get in there. Photos prove it. The room was clean and fine. Sunday morning at 7 a.m. the staff was shoveling wood chips, which woke us up. The wood was used as bedding for the Christmas market. Find the error!

After spending our wedding day here, we booked the bridal suite again on our wedding day. Unfortunately, despite being noted when booking, this was not available to us. However, this would have been okay. However, things then continued to go downhill. The suite assigned to us wasn't ready yet, the time given was 3 p.m., and we were finally able to move into our suite at 5 p.m. For a one night stay. At 7 p.m. we had reserved a table, which meant our planned spa stay was no longer possible. When we wanted to at least draw water for a bath, we discovered that there was no hot water in the bathroom. Unfortunately no one could be reached by phone, so back to reception. Unfortunately there is no house technician there, but we could get another suite. Unfortunately it was now shortly before 7 p.m., so this no longer made any sense and of course we had already unpacked. We will of course be accommodated, this will of course be noted in the system and everything will be discussed when we check out tomorrow. The next day at check out nothing was noted, the bill had already been paid at check in (the colleague said that this was only an advantage for us) and therefore could no longer be changed (?). But of course an email will be written internally to the sales department and we will receive it in the form of a voucher for the stay. This was over a month ago now and of course, as expected, we have never heard anything again. We made the most of the evening, but I have never experienced such a poor hotel stay and service. As a last attempt, a complaint will be made to the management, but it remains to be seen whether there will ever be a response... In any case, extremely disappointing and I can only advise anyone not to stay in this hotel. I've been to a lot of hotels in my life and there has always been a solution for everything. I don't understand why that isn't the case here, as we are and were very understanding and uncomplicated. Maybe too understanding...

Some of them are very old-fashioned and there is damage in the suites that has not been repaired.No elevator.At breakfast you had to wait for glasses and cups and the staff sometimes seemed overwhelmed.Sorry but at that price something like that shouldn't happen.This hotel shouldn't have 4 stars, not even 3!

This hotel is incredibly poor value for money. We paid almost €400 without breakfast for two people. There was a very small room with broken towel racks and clothes rails, a very small bathroom and a makeshift television. In the swimming pool, the internal wooden windows were moldy and the drain grates were broken. There was also blood on one of the couches. We really expected more in this price range. There was a note in the room asking that if something wasn't right, you should contact an email address. We did that and haven't heard back for three weeks. And that doesn't work at all.

Overnight stays from September 28th to September 30th, 2024. Despite requesting an early check-in by phone, there was no chance of getting it. The night from Saturday to Sunday was a complete disaster! Bawling outside the house until the early hours of the morning. Plus car posers and loud music. You can't charge standard accommodation costs for this. The second night was quieter, but unfortunately the beds were so lumpy that you could hardly turn around. Complaining to the reception resulted in insight and knowledge of the situation, but was brushed off because there was supposedly nothing that could be done about it. That's probably why hearing protection was on the bedside tables as a prophylactic measure. However, the price was still charged in full. Attention: No rooms facing “B. d. Abtsmühle”, then prefer the sound of the Ilmenau on the other side. Never again and especially not at this price!

The reception was quite nice. Our room was in the annex, it felt like a closet. The room was dirty, there was dust on the furniture, spider webs in the corner, the inside of the refrigerator was dirty, coffee cream had expired and a lunch box with moldy bread on the outside window sill as a topping. The view was beautiful... not! We looked at roof tiles on an outbuilding. The location is positive, you can quickly get into the city to great restaurants.

A cozy hotel and highly recommended as a starting point for a stroll through Lüneburg. The rooms are a bit old (connection for analogue media...seriously). We had a room with a small balcony, which was very nice. Parking at the hotel costs extra. The breakfast buffet is extensive, with a very good selection, and a wonderful view. The pool is sufficient if you are too small, otherwise it is much too small. Fitness room small but sufficient. The price for the night is way too expensive, but we'll still be back.

We were a bit confused at check-in because we weren't staying in the main building. However, an absolute stroke of luck. We stayed next to the old water tower, nice old room with a great view of the city and the crane at the harbor. Pool and fitness were in the same building. Small selection of drinks included in the minibar.We didn't have breakfast. The view from the breakfast room/restaurant looked great though.A little highlight just because of the location.Gladly again.
