Unfortunately the hotel has become more than inflexible. The rooms are very old. Unfortunately, no more bookings are made here.

Really nice hotel with very friendly staff. The rooms were nice and clean. We had no. 19 + 20 facing the water. Absolutely perfect. Their 2-course menus were really good, and there was definitely nothing missing from the breakfast buffet.The place is perfect if you love nature. We were two couples off together, where we respectively went for walks and rode mountain bikes. There are many good and fine hiking and cycling routes nearby.

A very nice hotel in a very good location.The hotel and the rooms are modern and stylishly furnished.Very friendly staff, extremely accommodating and youthfully relaxed.The evening menu is a bit too meat-heavy.The breakfast is great, especially the coffee (no machine).

I like the hotel itself. The staff is friendly, the breakfast is delicious. We would have liked to have had a dessert in the evening, maybe an ice cream...The room itself is harmonious and met my expectations. For the fifth star, I miss more order and an eye for detail, e.g. a cleaned terrace. The furniture also has clear signs of wear. The drinks in the minibar were available, but the refrigerator was missing...I booked easily over the phone and still received the same discounts that I would have gotten online.

Nice little hotel with a great view of the lake! Very good food, so definitely book with half board. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended for a few days of vacation and relaxation!

The hotel looks very tidy and inviting.We took a short vacation over the weekend. The buffet was very plentiful and was always refilled, everything was warm and well prepared.At dinner the first evening was a poem for us. Unfortunately, on the second evening the preparation was not according to our understanding.The room was small but perfectly adequate for two people. The beds were great.The shower takes some getting used to for tall people as freedom of movement was somewhat restricted 😂.All in all a good hotel with a great location. The view of the illuminated lake in the evening from the balcony is a poem.We would come backHowever, it is difficult to reach for people with physical disabilities as there are always stairs.

Great, with a cute sauna cellar. Hiking routes right outside the front door with a view of the Kranichsee. I would recommend the parking space at the back of the hotel. Breakfast was really surprisingly good.

It says "daily access to spa" but their Spa doesn't work there is only a sauna, quite disappointing.Garden view is a bit of an exaggeration... See picture.It seems as if both the hotel and the surrounding town have come to a standstill several years ago.

There were two of us and we had a lovely holiday, our first time in the Harz Mountains.The staff is very nice and helpful, the food is great. In the evening there was a 3-course menu, where you could choose the main course from two, and in the morning the breakfast selection was completely sufficient for us. For me it is always a plus when there is quark, yoghurt, muesli and fresh fruit, and it was rounded off with homemade jam to sweeten it. The hotel itself actually has few rooms, but it does have a fireplace room, a library (with comfortable reading chairs), which I find very charming, and a wellness area.The location is great (except for the construction site, but the hotel can't help there), the town of Hahnenklee is unfortunately a bit quiet, but there are nice paths for hiking, the Liebesbankweg and up to the Bocksberg. Since we still have a lot to see in the Harz, we would like to come back.

Went there for a short vacation at the beginning of June, the hotel is already getting old in some areas but the industry hasn't had it easy over the last few years, others have had to give up. But the staff is awesome, it's very rare to see someone so kind and considerate, something that you should definitely value as a boss.

You can book this hotel with a clear conscience. Great service and very clean. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. It was beautiful...be it the location, the view, the breakfast buffet and the wellness area. Many thanks to the entire staff...keep it up!!!

We spent our long weekend from Ascension Day to Mother's Day in Njord. We were warmly welcomed and otherwise treated courteously. The staff was always helpful and friendly. The rooms were cleaned daily. If you are really picky, it would be nice if the radiator in the bathroom or the balcony were cleaned regularly. Otherwise the hotel seemed very modern, with a Nordic touch thanks to the dark wood. It was very quiet in the hotel itself. The breakfast buffet was sufficient. Something for everyone. Rolls, muesli, eggs, bacon, fresh vegetables and fruit, pot of coffee, tea, etc. We enjoyed it. In the evening we ate out wherever our daily activities took us, so we can't say anything about the hot dishes. These should definitely be ordered in advance, as it may not be possible to eat spontaneously in the hotel in the evening. We didn't use the sauna. But the gin bar in the evening. Sat outside, the garden and outdoor area were not so beautifully laid out at this time of year. This could actually be made a little trickier. The fireplace room itself is beautifully furnished, certainly very romantic in cold months. The cocktails were really special, we were even given pretzel sticks, which were a huge hit with us. The hotel is located directly on the Kranichsee, absolutely beautiful. Invites you to take a walk and dream. The Bocksberg is less than three minutes away on foot. Ideal! There isn't much in the town of Hahnenklee itself, everything looks very deserted. Small mile right by the lift, you can absolutely recommend the Greek Corfu and the Restaurant 1894. Always with reservation. Especially on holidays, when Hahnenklee is really busy. On the Bocksberg itself there is also a snack bar, playground, summer toboggan run, trampoline, bike park and high ropes course. There is an open and closed gondola lift. About 20 minutes on foot up the mountain. Good to do. It's 20 minutes by car to Goslar. You should go there sometime. There's a lot to see and you can also shop there and see some of the sights. The nearest shop is in Clausthal-Zellerfeld, about 9 minutes by car. The stalactite cave nearby is also beautiful. Wellness in the hotel possible by an external beautician. However, I couldn't use it because it only produces enough sales for several applications. I thought it was a shame!
