This hotel has a super friendly and nice, helpful staff. The locations such as the spa area and the canteen were very clean and well stocked. The food was offered in a wide variety and was really delicious and beautiful to look at. I can highly recommend the wellness hotel and I checked out of the hotel very relaxed. And again I wanted to say that the nice lady in the dining area is doing a great job. Big respect to you :3

tl;dr: Unfortunately, the claim/price of a 4-star Ayurveda hotel does not match the service provided. Unfortunately, this runs like a common thread through the stay. And here in detail:So the friendliness of the staff is top there is nothing to improve, unfortunately the rest is. On the online booking portals, there are always only example images for the 16m² rooms, which make the room appear significantly larger. We arrived at the hotel and were greeted very friendly and when we checked in we immediately paid for the room (€177 per night for 2 people including breakfast), tourist tax, parking (€3 per day) and the wellness treatments. There was a short briefing on where everything is and we were taken to the room. We were happy that coffee and cake were offered in the lounge in the afternoon and accepted the offer. Unfortunately, a hot chocolate arrived in a small cup that was only half full (the same was true with coffee) and a piece of cake that had just been heated up in the microwave from the frost stage and was still totally hot on the inside. The hot chocolate was just warm milk with cheap cocoa powder and a touch of milk foam in half a small cup and the whole thing for I think €4.20. If I'm going to charge so much money for cheap cocoa, why don't I at least fill the little cup? In the evening in the restaurant I ate chicken breast fillet with chanterelles and croquettes and my partner ate schnitzel Viennese style with sweet potato fries and beans. The food was delicious but the portion sizes were so far from suitable for me. I had 2 small chicken breasts, chanterelles in sauce and 4 croquettes on my plate (the large plate looked a bit empty) and my partner had 2 large pork schnitzels, a mountain of sweet potato fries and some beans (the entire surface was used here). Unfortunately I didn't take a picture but the schnitzel plate was too full and the chicken breast plate was too empty and not enough for the money. For the next few days we used very good restaurants in the city, which were significantly cheaper and also very, very tasty. When I checked out, I described my impressions to the reception and discussed all the impressions and deficiencies, but then all they said was we can only apologize and there was no offer of kindness. For me the hotel is not worth the money, then it's better to choose one that doesn't believe in asking people to pay extra because of 4 stars or Ayurveda and then it's better to book wellness treatments externally, Bad-Harzburg also has some good spas. operator to offer. I would pay €80 for the room somewhere else as a single room and given the size I would just hope that no one offers it as a double room and even for €100 as a double room it is unreasonable and I would take the next bigger one.

We had booked at short notice (on the same day) and despite arriving late (around 9.30 p.m.) we were welcomed very friendly and quickly. The room was very small, but completely sufficient and clean. …
