If at some point 5 stars are no longer 5 stars, you've missed something and should honestly say goodbye to it.

To start with the positive: the hotel is beautifully, centrally located and next to the spa park in Bad Pyrmont. |The breakfast buffet was okay and the staff in the breakfast room were very attentive and friendly. …

After more than 8 years as regular guests at this hotel in Bad Pyrmont, we would now like to say goodbye. For the past 8 years we have been guests at this hotel at least once a year and looked forward to restful and relaxing days. We always particularly liked the central location (everything was within walking distance), but the relaxation in the hotel was also special. We always praised the special breakfast on the terrace facing the palm garden and the relaxation in the pool and sauna area. In the last 8 years (also during Corona) we have always been regular guests with our daughter (now 7 years old) and were able to use the pool area very well. Thank you very much for this.Unfortunately, our last stays (especially the last one from July 15th to July 19th) were accompanied by a continuous reduction in service and performance. Unfortunately, the simultaneous (recently massive) increase in costs means that we can no longer see this hotel in Bad Pyrmont as an option for us. The reduction in performance and misinformation in the pool area (the sauna times did not match those promised, both whirlpools have been defective for over 4 years, the counter-current system and the waterfall in the pool are now also defective and the pool temperature has been reduced again) no longer offer the advertised services. We were actually particularly disappointed with the breakfast. We have always particularly praised and highlighted the breakfast. The "real" rolls, the "selection" of different egg dishes and the hot/cold buffet with the large selection of fish and nuts were special.Unfortunately, there was none of it left on our last visit.* The rolls were (if you wanted to call them that) at most small bites of pizza rolls.* The selection of bread and nuts was no longer available and the only hot dishes available were scrambled eggs and bacon.* My daughter's favorite pancakes, beans or sausages -> deleted.* Tomatoes -> deleted* Whey drinks -> deleted* Fish selection -> no longer available* Nut selection -> deleted* Cheese selection -> reduced to 1 cheese* Sausage selection -> reduced to 3 types* Egg selection (if replenished very rarely) no longer has the usual varietyTotal we no longer recognized Steigenberger's performance at breakfast. We were so disappointed here that we even considered going to a regional bakery because we at least got bread rolls there. The sum of these experiences, i.e. a significant price increase combined with a significant reduction in service, was a bitter disappointment. The service employees probably already know this, because there were no more evaluation forms or questions about satisfaction. This is very unfortunate and I hope that it is not/will not become a general trend.

Not worth 5 stars, never again....And that doesn't have anything to do with the previous oneConstruction site to do. Don't know whereI should start, so just bullet pointsInstead of long Din A 4 pages. The only positive thing first. The chefs know their craft. But then ....Rooms were old-fashioned, showers didn't workShowerhead does not fit in holder. Cracked tiles,Missing TV table (was on heating with all long cables).Safe worked sometimes yes sometimes no, house bar nothing inside except thatPromised bottle of water. No cushions for the chairs outside.Wellness .... awesome 2 hot tubs but no water in them.A coffee table for guests was dismantled at 3 p.m.No milk mini teabox everything is loveless (no need to comment further), everyone knows that5 star houses check in that something like that doesn't work.At reception...I have 100% disability and no luggage carrierAlso no offer as to whether they can help me, which is true5 stars would have been understandable.Restaurant....standard...No questions asked during the main course about everythingThat's right, we would have liked to have ordered more beer. But when I was clearing away I was asked first and then I didn't need my beer anymore. The service staff doesn't have an all-round view, just stand thereand clear away. German language with the staff was also difficult, at the beginning I ordered Spezi and got a small Pils. But the surroundings and the park are very beautiful.

Location great, breakfast great. But that's about it. In the wellness area, a flair like the waiting room of the German railway, none of the 2 whirlpools were filled, the cleanliness in the hallways and rooms leaves a lot to be desired (blood stains in the tile joints in the bathroom!!!!)There is a very musty smell in the rooms and hallways.Underground parking at 16 euros per night SO EXPENSIVE!!!!!

After a wonderful walk through the spa park, we wanted to relax on the terrace with a drink in the wonderful sunshine. An Aperol 10€...ok, if it's good then? NO!!!..the glass was full of ice. When asked: “That’s why it’s a bigger glass”. Maybe we would have ordered a second glass, but never here again!!!

Didn't deserve its name, bed was very hard, TV and safe didn't work, 4 steps up to the bathroom area, 8 steps up for breakfast and 24 steps down, not for people with disabilities! The waitress has a large Aldi bag with the bathing slippers on her car, not worthy of a hotel and for €165 a night, the staff just shrugs their shoulders and doesn't really care.

Everything expected has almost happened. There were culinary temptations in the morning and in the evening. The kitchen team delivered brilliantly! The service was always attentive and very friendly in all areas. The wellness and spa area offers everything you could wish for.All in all, everything was very good

Stayed in Bad Pyrmont and chose the Steigenberger. The location is great and the staff is very friendly. However the rooms are dated, old and tired. …
