In my experience, I would not recommend it. Sleeping is OK, but the rest is not good. Rooms are not clean, the restaurant is not open, and there is no breakfast. Wifi is constantly interrupted and often cannot be connected at all. Check-in is very strict. No service staff on site until 3 p.m. during the day. Windows do not close properly. Sometimes unfriendly "I have other things to do." The hotel is located right at the top of the mountain. Parking is OK, so just about 2 stars.

The staff is super nice, the place is quiet but we weren't happy with the rooms at all! Stinky, musty - disgusting! There may also be mold. On the 2nd floor I had the feeling of sleeping in a basement... Never again!

Hotel can serve as a transit hotel. Good for 1 night. No breakfast, no dinner. Very occasionally you see the manager. Beds are not made. You almost have to beg for clean towels.

No breakfast. No evening meal. Not even a fresh pint of beer or glass of wine. And only accept cash. So we stayed here for a week in the black. We had booked via booking.com Apparently while the place was actually closed. The new manager had only been working on the business since the beginning of August. So he couldn't have known that we had booked for 9 nights. The lock on the room door was broken. Closed from the inside. Couldn't open the door anymore. The telephone number on paper still belonged to the previous operator. So, at my wits' end, I called Polizei. Then they came. Together with the wife/cleaning lady they opened the door from outside. And since then things haven't worked out between us and the manager. I did get the wife's number in case of emergency. On Tuesday evening I decided to leave on Friday morning. To get to Passau you always have to take the car. Is too far from the city. The hotel is located here along the road to Salzweg. After 200m you will come across a sawmill. For the rest you have to walk all the way to Salzweg to get to civilization.

Unfortunately the hotel has been closed since December 2023!!!!The owner was surprised that we could book through Booking.We had to search for a replacement hotel for several hours!!Please don't book, there is nothing there anymore, just the friendly owner!!!!

The restaurant is good. The rooms are no longer the newest, but they have a certain charm. The food is completely fine. It's always tasted good so far. The menu isn't too big, but that's a positive thing. There is a playground for children in front of the house on its own property. There are enough parking spaces. The staff is nice.

You arrive after a long day. You don't get anything to eat. The cook is not here today. Is there anything different? Yes, chips. When you get to your room, the light doesn't work. First and last visit. And that for €60.00 without breakfast.

We arrived at midday and were not given a particularly friendly welcome. After everything was clarified and we asked about a bus connection to get to the center of Passau, we were referred to a notice at the reception. When we asked how far the bus station was from the hotel, we were told it was around 300 or 400 meters, but she didn't know for sure. Of course, we only realized later that the bus timetable - which I had to photograph - was 10 years old. For anyone who should take the bus from there to the city center, there is a regular bus and an intercity bus. It was only a maximum of 150 meters to the intercity bus station. Of course there was no city map of Passau either.As for the breakfast, it was average.The rooms themselves - in terms of furnishings - were very different. The bathroom was relatively new, but the room still had old furniture and very creaky beds. It was three restless nights. Of course, our friend had already gotten a new room. You should pay attention to this if you stay in this hotel for a long time.

Sufficient secure parking spaces behind the house, rooms and bathrooms good, beds/mattresses too! For group prices, there is certainly a small group bonus on the rooms, just inquireTip: There are enough parking spaces available
