Great hotel with clean, nice rooms. We felt very comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very varied with a very large selection of fresh products. Dinner was delicious every day. Here the boss still cooks himself. We will definitely be back.

A really nice, albeit outdated, hotel and excellent service. Unfortunately there are not enough staff, so the guest has to wait sometimes. But they are always there for you and really try to fulfill your every wish.We had a wonderful stay and always felt like we were among friends. I can recommend the hotel with a clear conscience!

The manager at the reception was very friendly and helpful.Our son and you were on the same wavelength straight away.Unfortunately, the dinner wasn't to our taste, and the boss tried to find a solution there too.At breakfast there was something for everyone.

The hotel and its staff/owner let me experience Bavarian hospitality. The impression is very benevolent and personal. The rooms are great and the view of the Bavarian Forest is beautiful. As nice as the hotel is, the staff still stood out for their friendliness. I can recommend the hotel without hesitation.

5 days in this hotel - a treat for body and soul!We have rarely experienced a hotel where we felt so comfortable. An experience in a class of its own from A, like arrival (so warm that you immediately felt at home) to Z, like room (very tasteful and high quality, when we asked, we were told that the entire furnishings were designed and tailor-made by an interior designer, which is also reflected in the ambience).The breakfast was very good, the dinner was a poem - good quality, a nice selection and our special requests were always taken into account. A big compliment to the kitchen.We will definitely come back - to our “2. At home"

Because of the many good reviews, I gave my LG a weekend in this hotel for his birthday. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Mrs. Reubel and - as a matter of course - we were also lent a kettle for our room. Our room was on the ground floor, the furnishings, the dining room, the bar and also the indoor swimming pool looked as shown on the internet, but unfortunately we discovered during these two days that you weren't allowed to take a closer look anywhere: the balcony was littered with huge ones Spider webs and the furniture was a bit thrown together. Even if it rains, as a smoker you want to feel comfortable there and the balcony should be cleaned when you move into the room. There was also a somewhat musty smell in the air on the way into the room, as well as a very strong dog smell in the back entrance for guests with dogs (well, it was raining non-stop) and even though we have a dog ourselves and are very picky about it, we found that very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I know the selection of food better from other 4 star hotels, usually with a greeting from the kitchen, serving of soup, etc. I liked the selection of salads and the fresh baguette. Unfortunately, the waitress barely understood any German, but a colleague was there to help. Incorrect consumption was written to the room twice on two days, but this could be clarified, but it's annoying when you have to check for two drinks. Shortly after breakfast started there was only a grain roll left because they weren't replenished anymore, the sliced cucumbers didn't look too fresh anymore, cheap jams in jars from Penny at the breakfast buffet and expired mustard and even though the shops were open on Saturday there won't be any on Sunday. I think the gentleman who (also) filled the buffet was Mr. Reubel, who didn't even notice us as guests, let alone greet us. The indoor pool was very nice and warm, just like in the brochures, we even had it to ourselves. What was worth highlighting was the great massage from the gentleman who really pampered us. Unfortunately, we cannot assess the outdoor pool and everything else outside due to heavy rain. We touched on a few things (balcony, consumption and mustard)! When we left we were kindly thanked for being there, but we didn't even ask if everything else was okay/liked! I was also a bit disappointed at check-in when they wrote down the guest's date of birth and then didn't even say congratulations or anything like that! Result: trying out the hotel for further and longer stays was completely wrong, but luckily it was only two days and to be honest I don't know why the hotel has 4 stars?All in all very disappointing and therefore no longer an option for us!

We stayed in this wonderful hotel again for a weekend in March. As always, Ms. Reubel welcomed us very warmly. Our dogs were also warmly welcomed. The rooms, the dining room and the fireplace room with their warm colors and tasteful furnishings simply radiate a feel-good atmosphere. The wellness area with sauna is also great. The water was pleasantly warm for swimming and relaxing. The food was just as good as in previous years. We are pleased that the Reubels have reopened the hotel. We'd love to come back.

Several years as a guest in this hotel. During the last stay in September 2023, totally listless and unmotivated employees and bosses. Drinks were out, room cleaning was forgotten, repairs were no longer carried out and the cleanliness also left something to be desired. We were very disappointed and surprised. After the journey home, it turned out that the hotel had been sold and would continue to operate as a home for asylum seekers. It was then clear to us why people no longer showed any desire. An outcry went through the press. And suddenly they move on. This hotel is no longer an option for us. You wait a long time for your booked vacation and then experience something unmotivated and listless. The whole thing is too unsafe for us. With an attitude like that, it could all be over tomorrow.

We stayed at the Hotel Bavaria in Zwiesel for four days and really enjoyed the location, the facilities and the service.The half-board catering also impressed us; the drink prices are at the upper limit.It's just a shame that after our return we have to find out that the hotel will become refugee accommodation for 140 asylum seekers from the first quarter of 2024!Does it have to be a well-run 4* hotel with a pool, indoor pool, spa area, steam bath and infrared sauna?
