It's been a long time since I've eaten such a brilliant crusty roast. The crust was as it should be. The beer sauce was dark and savory. The dumpling too, of course. Respect and continued success.

We only stayed at the Hotel Seethaler for one night while passing through and felt very comfortable there.We were warmly welcomed by the Seethaler couple, who are very nice and helpful.The hotel is furnished in a country-style style, as are the rooms. The room has everything you need.The breakfast buffet is small but tasty and offers everything you need to start your day well.The email contact with our questions before arrival was also answered promptly!My wife and I would love to go to the Hotel Seethaler again and again.

My wife and I visit the Gäubodenfest every year on the first Saturday - we always stay at the Hotel Seethaler. We are particularly looking forward to Ms Seethaler. It is a well-run hotel in the heart of Straubing. The familiar atmosphere and good price-performance ratio are an absolute plus.As long as my wife and I come to Straubing, we will stay at Seethaler's

We visited the restaurant last Friday (August 9th, 2024). It has to be said at this point that there is a state of emergency in Straubing at this time due to the Gäubodenvolksfest. Full of anticipation for a Munich schnitzel, we were then informed that they would not be offering all the dishes on the menu during the festival. We then decided on a “normal” schnitzel (Vienna style) and then received the portion in the picture. The ketchup is of course served in a bag and I already put it on the plate. Unfortunately, I have to admit that this portion didn't fill me up and I don't think it's justified to charge €17.50 for it. Afterwards it turned out that the price on the menu (online) was €16.50. The taste of the schnitzel wasn't entirely convincing either. Really a shame! Otherwise the location of the hotel/restaurant is of course great.

We spent 1 night here during our bike ride along the Danube. The accommodation is in a perfect location, on the main square. The accommodation also has a restaurant, the food was fresh and delicious. The room was clean and had a minibar. The bathroom was almost new and clean. The room had parquet and not carpet, which is more hygienic for us. The hosts were very kind, the bikes could stay in the storage room while we looked at the city. We could place the bicycles in a closed storage room, with the possibility of charging. A perfect starting point for a city walk.Unfortunately, our room faced an inner courtyard, so we could see the walls of the neighboring houses. The lucky ones can look out onto the main square.

The food tastes very good in the new restaurant, but there is one major point of criticism:It was only when we specifically asked that we were told that almost all sauces contain alcohol. However, for some of the affected dishes and sauces there is not a word about it on the menu. If you consider that many groups of people are not allowed or want to consume any alcohol, I don't think it's a good thing if something like that is simply not included. But otherwise a nice place.
