Don't enter through the door, you can't enter anyway. Let me explain. We checked into the hotel on April 11, 2024. We e-mailed them 3 times that we would be late, but they did not return our e-mails. We went to the hotel. The place you call hotel is already like this, excuse me, it's a barn-like place. It is a 5-storey place with 7-8 flats on each floor. We couldn't enter the building. We waited at the door for 15 minutes, entered the building, went to the floors under the responsibility of the City Inn, and there was no one around. We call them, they don't answer, they left an emergency phone number, but they don't answer. They put a late check-in number and it doesn't open either. As a result, we could not reach anyone, we found another hotel at 12 at night and stayed there. They did not refund our money either. When we went to the building again the next day and talked to a woman staying in the rooms, they said, if you have the opportunity, find another place, do not stay here. The password for every room is the same. The woman gave me the password and said, enter the room you want and stay if you want. What security! I will complain to the German state.

Big thumps down for this hotel. This hotel has no reception desk and any check-ins after 6pm will need a code to access the building, their contact number is incorrect so we were unable contact them for a code or refund, luckily, we managed to rebook with another hotel, don't waste your time; find a better hotel.

The only advantage of this place is that it is cheap and they offer free coffee and tea.Note the cons:• leaky windows, which makes it cold and noisy•a fridge that doesn't work and stinks• the shower is a disaster, there is no curtain so the entire bathroom is wet and there is fungus under the mat• a radiator that didn't work and we had to ask for someone to fix itThat's it, thank you for your attention

Cheap and dirty. Nobody is available either on the reception, or by given email and phone numbers. I was asking for a payment receipt via all available contacts and they just ignored my requests. I have no idea how would things work in case of any emergency - who to call and who to ask?

These flats are adequate but not great. The location is good, fairly central and close to an S-Bahn station. The rooms are fairly clean with a mismatch of furniture in differing states of repair. They do feel secure though with codes for every door. The downsides are that it's all a bit ropey with various broken things in the rooms. The street level looks dirty and uncared for which doesn't give a good impression. Parking is tricky and depends on whether or not there is space. The traffic noise, particularly ambulance sirens, can be significant. It's OK to use as a place to sleep but I wouldn't recommend spending any more time there.

We were very skeptical at first because of the reviews, but the hotel room was perfectly fine for 2 nights. The entrance to the hotel is very inconspicuous next to the supermarket and easy to miss, so you have to do some searching there. When we arrived we had to take the stairs because the elevator was broken. Since we had small luggage, this didn't pose any problems, but if you're traveling for a longer period of time and with larger luggage, it can be tiring. At check-in time the reception was closed and the telephone could not be reached. After half an hour you were informed that you would check in independently and that you received an email about it. (You might have to look for this in the spam folder)Checked into the room, both the room and the bathroom were clean. Of course it was dirty here and there on the skirting boards in the room, but bearable. Kitchen facilities such as kettle, microwave, fridge, etc. are likely to be shared with another room as these have been provided in the hallway. However, some of the amenities listed in the list were not even available, such as a hairdryer. The location is right on the street, so that the bus stops directly in front of the hotel or the S-Bahn station, which is about 400m away, are easy to reach. In addition, it can get very loud at night. In summary, our two-night stay at the City Inn Berlin was satisfactory. Since we only slept at the City Inn and used the bathroom when necessary, we can't complain much.
