We rented the hotel for a trip to and from Berlin by car. The road does not take long. The reception closes at 21:00 in the evening, so we were a little surprised when we arrived. If anyone comes like us, let them know. I made the payment through Booking and kept it. When I arrived at 21:30, they left the key with a name on the envelope. The parking lot is shared behind the building, you can leave a piece of paper with your room number and name and park there. Breakfast costs 10€ per person and was sufficient.

Never reachable by phone, never!Unfortunately, despite multiple hints and requests, there were always feather pillows in the 3-bed room.If you have severe allergies, the night is already over after you've been in the room for 15 minutesAfterwards, the whole family slept 3 times without a pillowA pityThe house is great, but unfortunately it is only managed as an appendage.You notice when you are a regular guest

The location of the hotel is very good - opposite the train station... the reception was a bit bumpy, they hardly spoke German, only English, the rooms were clean and ok, the negative is that there were no sockets on the bed/nightstand and the skirting boards loose and defective and therefore a tripping hazard....the breakfast was also ok, but not worth €10 per person, the price-performance ratio is not right here....

Clean room with everything you need. Mattress could be a little harder. With the S1 you can reach the Brandenburg Gate in about 28 minutes. The hotel is only 100m from the stop.

Maximum confusion. We booked by phone. When we arrived our booking was not on file. The one of our fellow travelers who booked separately had the wrong date. We were lucky to get the rooms we wanted.They said on the phone that we could check in in the morning. This was only possible on site with luck.The room was fine. The beds were pretty shabby, there was no socket on the bed, a lamp was broken... But overall it was okay. It was clean, but on two nights there was no cleaning, only the garbage was emptied.Eggs and yoghurt were missing at breakfast on the second day, there was only a small amount of both. But that was okay too.The two older ladies hold the shop together! The rest of the staff didn't mention anywhere that we still had to pay, so we could have just left...The prices are different everywhere, the hotel can be found under different names?!The staff also seem to know different prices... The cheapest way to find it is on Booking.

I can only advise anyone who still has a claim not to do this to yourself!When I checked in, despite being extremely tired, I had to discuss things with the staff for what felt like half an hour!Rooms are relatively okay, although you can clearly see that the renovation was only superficial. There are strange smells coming from the water in the bathroom?! No, not empty drains, but actually from the water itself!Breakfast really wasn't the real deal. Rolls were so chewy and hard that I had a toothache the day after I left.The only things that scored points were the cleanliness and the location. However, both of these were no longer enough in the rating to even consider a 2nd star!Conclusion: I had to end the trip early and left 1 day earlier and will certainly NEVER visit this hotel again.

Good price for quality. Note: Shaniu’s hotel and Buffet hotels are the same one hotel, so you can try booking under either name.Clean, specious rooms, friendly personnel. Breakfast is Ok, mainly oriented on a salty breakfast.Hotel has free parking for guests, but it is small, you might want check if there are free space in advance.The hotel is 3 min walk from the railway station.The elevator in the hotel reaches only 2nd floor, you can reach the 3rd floor only by stairs.

Very well located right next to the S train station.We had a room at the top towards the back. So the road didn't bother me at all.The rooms were actually quite clean. The clingy shower curtain is not entirely contemporary. The toilet fan is welcome to be cleaned.The escape and rescue plan is from 2001 but is still current.Negative: The fire extinguishers should have been serviced in 2017.The breakfast was okay. The lady was very nice.Rolls, boiled eggs, 2 types of cheese for vegetarians.What I missed was tea and milk alternatives such as oat drink.We will book the hotel again when we come back to Birkenwerder
