Goose legs and ribs are our favorites. Consistently high quality for many years. The herb garden spreads a stunning scent.Points are deducted for the inadequate information on the website, we were on the road for a long time to be able to enjoy the very good cuisine again, unfortunately in vain, a tour group was expected and we had to drive on to Lübben.When it comes to distances in the state of Brandenburg, it is important to have correct information.

A small, fine hotel in the center of Werben in the Spreewald. Very, very nice staff, clean rooms and a great kitchen. We were absolutely satisfied. The only drawback that the hotel can't help with is the traffic on the main street and the neighboring church tower. Both can be almost hidden by closing the windows. In any case, thank you very much to the Franke family & team!!!

Had dinner in the restaurant yesterday. Unfortunately our table wasn't wiped down and was sticky, the waitress spoke to us on a first-name basis and the food (spiced meat) came out of the kitchen lukewarm. Even after the food went back to the kitchen, the food came back to the table lukewarm. It's a shame although the food tasted good.

The hotel is located in the small, agricultural town of Werben. It is mainly used by guests with bicycles, and is also often used by bicycle groups as an overnight stop. The hotel is located on the Cottbus-Burg road. Busy car traffic can therefore be expected at peak times. There is a small beer garden in front of the hotel. We booked an offer including breakfast, 1 dinner and a 2-hour boat trip with a good price/performance ratio. The room offered was in the neighboring building and was modernly renovated. The (family) room also had a fold-out couch, a seating area and a fairly large new bathroom with a walk-in shower. However, due to the sloping roof with only one window, it was a bit "dark". But since we were always out and about during the day, it didn't bother us that much.The breakfast buffet was varied and was always topped up. Unfortunately, some of the rolls were already sold out before 9 a.m. and the guests were put off by waiting for them to be baked. We then observed the “reason” why some guests had also made some extra rolls to take away. We considered that to be inappropriate.We can recommend the hotel for a short break, as it is ideally located due to its short distance to Burg. Bicycles can be parked in the rustic, large “Un-Krauthalle”. There are also options for charging e-bikes.

Had a room in the adjacent building to myself.The hotel room was a bit spartan.But very clean.Unfortunately I can't report on the restaurant. I arrived too late for that.

Anyone who doesn't want to be bothered by the ringing of the church tower bells, who can cope with a bit of isolation and a well-used country road, will be treated to excellent cuisine by the Franke family, in which the regional ingredients are optimally presented. The rooms are clean and the staff is always friendly. Overall recommended.

A beautiful area. If you like nature and particularly appreciate the knowledge of herbs, this is absolutely the right place for you. The advice about possible excursions was also really nice. Licking the food.Unfortunately no air-conditioned rooms, which makes it difficult at 30 degrees. But our son really liked it.The conversations with Peter Franke were the best. He has a heart for children and immediately got my son interested in herbs.

Pretty little hotel with a great breakfast and a good starting point for exploring the waterways in Burg by canoe or barge. It would have been great if there had been a small gift of herbs as a welcome in the room or a sample of the tea. It would certainly make many hotel guests curious about the weed shop and buy one or two more things.

Unfortunately, the place was disappointing for me. Luckily there was good bus service to Burg. The Hotel “Zum Stern” was the highlight of this place, a typical country inn with a main focus on herbs.Cleanliness everywhere and lovely decorations in the restaurants. Staff very friendly and attentive, I felt very comfortable.
