Never again!!!We celebrated our Christmas party almost 4 years ago in Diedersdorf Castle. The service and the ambience was the only positive thing! The Christmas dinner was partly oversalted, partly paths! Simply warm up canned food! Listlessly covered.Fact is fact! There's no point in hiring a lawyer to have testimonials deleted!

We were invited to a larger family celebration in September and had booked an overnight stay because we live further away.First the good things:+ Nice location overall+ basically nice room+ Very friendly, courteous and cheerful employees - whether at the reception or in service!+ delicious breakfast. Lots of choice for vegetarians too!The underground impressions:+ one towel was an insult to the guest. Completely torn apart: piece out and it has already disintegrated. We are over 50 and have never experienced anything like this in an accommodation. And we don't 'reside' in 'castles' on a regular basis. The ladies at reception were very understanding and responded very warmly.+ the trash can didn't look very attractive and was replaced immediately.+ the toilet flush button had a large crack (but was functional).+ the water in the shower was an uphill battle. Either cold - or immediately too hot. My husband (technician) also had difficulty finding a setting in which the water was comfortable. No one needs to struggle with the water in the shower in the morning. Especially not in a 'castle territory'.+ Various water points on the wooden window sills+ the light carpet showed traces of various predecessors.+ the windows were not cleaned. The sun shone in and revealed the great defect.+ A Danish shop in the tower was advertised on a display (STOP!...) and according to another large board it was supposed to be on Fridayalso open between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. But he didn't. The other castle shop didn't even open on Fridays. And the bakery advertised verbally by the staff was also closed. We had to pay a luxurious price for this. Photos of the towel, wastebasket, toilet flush and window sills exist.

I'm torn about the rating. We were there a few times for Sunday brunch and can definitely recommend it. Service is great, food tastes good and the location is also right. Apart from the fact that it gets more expensive every year (the castle would still make a profit if it were €5 cheaper), there is nothing to complain about. Due to the price increases, our visits have also decreased significantly.Overnight stay with Oktoberfest:In my opinion the rooms are underground for this price. The cleanliness and facilities left a lot to be desired. Breakfast the next morning was okay (we like brunch better :) ).It was known that the Oktoberfest closes its gates quite early. It's not acceptable that a waitress comes with the announcement "last order" and then we are thrown out of the stable after 10 minutes. We weren't allowed to take out the beer and there were no more plastic cups. We noticed that we weren't the only ones with the problem, which is a disgrace. And the type of communication was also poor; some training is urgently needed here. Another group of drunk people apparently couldn't hold back, which is why there was a scuffle with security on the other side. Conclusion:Day trip/brunch yes - multi-day stay no

Went to Oktoberfest again yesterday (September 28th, 2024). As always, great atmosphere. It's great that access was so problem-free for a guest with walking difficulties! It's nice that beer prices have remained stable, unlike at Wien'n! The only criticism: in my opinion, the food (except the snack, which is great!) used to be better. We've been there for about the 12th time now and we're already looking forward to next year! 🍻
