We stayed here for a night and enjoyed the owner's hospitality. Friendly and accommodating. After the hike up from the railway station it was great to relax. Breakfast was excellent. I would stay here again to enjoy the German experience.

In January 2020 we reserved 2 rooms facing the courtyard in a quiet location. These were even confirmed to us by the owner on the Monday before our arrival, stating the room number. …

Very friendly owners. Hotel of older standards, old-fashioned bathroom only separated by a self-made, non-closing sliding door, weak shower jet. The power was off overnight until morning. Breakfast was good, eggs as requested, coffee at the table.

When we booked in January 2020 and according to the telephone confirmation from the owner on the Monday before the start of the trip, two quiet rooms facing the backyard were reserved for us. When we queried by phone, we even received a room number that we should refer to. When we arrived on Friday, both of our rooms were suddenly no longer available. In our opinion, one of the employees was quite "annoyed" by the guests arriving at the same time and was constantly trying to accommodate the wishes of the guests standing in front of her. She moved one booking after another on the computer. She was obviously relatively indifferent to the booking requests of the guests who had already booked. For us that meant: two disjointed rooms on different floors facing the street (the hotel is located directly at the intersection of a main road). She explained to us that it was sometimes the case that the booking conditions had changed when the trip began... - after all, she had to respond to the customers' wishes and if they just checked in earlier, that would be the case .......... Unfortunately there is nothing you can do about it now.The furnishings and size of the rooms could also be improved. The hotel is getting quite old and you can clearly see that:Some doors are hanging on their hinges, a sink is located directly in the entrance area (corridor), the floor in the stairwell is "rotten", there is old wooden furniture that also emits a corresponding smell that is drowned out by room scents. The quality of breakfast also had to be compromised, although the owner personally seemed to be trying very hard. Freshly prepared eggs / scrambled eggs / fried eggs as desired.Unfortunately, the appropriate distance from the neighboring tables was not maintained in the breakfast room. All in all, they tried to make the inconvenience fade into the background. - For us, however, this is not a criterion for booking again.
