I've been to Hanau on business several times and always stayed at the Hotel Maingold. Sometimes for just 2 nights, sometimes for 2 weeks.The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the breakfast is delicious and always prepared with love. The management and staff are very friendly and accommodating. You live in the middle of Hanau city center and restaurants and bars are within walking distance.I can only recommend this hotel and will always come back there.

I stayed at this hotel a total of 5 times. I was thrilled by the friendliness of the owner. The staff were also super nice. The breakfast was a dream, the rooms were modern and friendly. I can recommend this hotel 1000%. A hotel to feel good ❤️

We would like to come again. Very friendly reception. The owner was very accommodating and helpful. He showed us the room personally. Gave tips on where to eat well. Free parking space in the courtyard. The room was very clean. There is a kettle with coffee, tea. There is a bottle of water in the room for every guest. The bathroom is newly renovated. As a woman, I would still like to have a magnifying mirror. This is not a criticism, just a suggestion. The breakfast is inexpensive. There was fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, egg, orange juice, sausage, cheese, jam and honey. Everything was there and you could order more if necessary. We were thrilled and can really recommend this very nice, clean hotel, which is still in the construction phase due to Corona. Shops, shopping, eating, cafes, options in the immediate vicinity, all easily accessible on foot. We hope that this review is helpful for all subsequent guests. With lovely greetings

Very accommodating friendly staff. Cheap and reasonably priced breakfast that was absolutely sufficient for me.Edit on April 12, 2022:Looking back, it's actually one of the most pleasant hotels since then. Had a small fridge in the room, kettle etc and it was quiet. You don't have that with many people.I also locked myself out once. Had to call the man at the reception (I don't know, I think he was also the owner or owner of the hotel) in the middle of the night. On site within 20 minutes. I was very uncomfortable but wasn't very angry. That's what I call service. I think breakfast was 5 euros back then. I don't know what it's like today. The 5 star rating definitely remains.

A bit run down, bed a bit Altmann Fisch with wall panels as a border and the table looks slightly battered (table top).What's not right is the smell in the hotel and in the room. There the well-known fragrance "refreshing" essences are used with wooden sticks that smell beastly.You shouldn't expect your guests to do this.The gentleman was very friendly and helpful.The room and bathroom are really very clean
