Our company has worked with MK Hotels across multiple locations. Although our recent challenges occurred at MK Hotel London, we’ve found that management communication and follow-up across the brand raise concerns for future guests, including at MK Hotel Eschborn. In London, a lost group booking worth £20,000 revealed serious issues with compensation, transparency, and customer care. Despite hotel manager Jiri Rigan admitting fault, MK Hotels (via their part-founder Arno Sonderfeld) provided no meaningful compensation, leaving us to bear the consequences of their error until we involved legal representation. The substitute accommodation they arranged did not meet the agreed standards, and attempts to book again were met with stricter terms—such as a 100% price increase and non-refundable cancellation policy—further undermining trust and transparency. We initially reached out to Mr. Sonderfeld directly to resolve the issue, but we received no response. Accordingly, we placed a review on Google for the London location. It only deepened our concerns about the brand’s transparency, customer care, and accountability when the hotel’s response invited us to contact Mr. Sonderfeld again, despite our previous outreach. When we escalated the matter by leaving a review for the brand at a different location, we were simply asked to remove the review, with no meaningful effort to resolve our concerns. This sequence of interactions highlights significant inconsistencies in the brand’s commitment to its values.Given Eschborn’s importance within the portfolio, we recommend that potential guests and group bookers carefully evaluate policies, service terms, and management engagement before committing. Our experience suggests that these challenges reflect systemic issues rather than isolated incidents.

Terrible hotel, once and never again. My colleague made the booking at the hotel about 4 months before arrival and went without any problems, with the note that the hotel room would be paid for in cash, which was also confirmed to us.I received the room number and a link for late check-in via email. So far so good.I booked a single room for 2 nights. On the day of arrival at 10:30 p.m., I wanted to use the late check-in after 6 hours of arrival, but it was the biggest disaster I've ever seen. You are standing in front of a kind of “ATM” where a QR code is supposed to be scanned, but it doesn’t work. Then there was an information on the entrance door where it says that if the technology doesn't work, you should scan a manual QR code, which also doesn't work and only Error 404 appears. After testing it a few times, I tried to call the hotel's emergency number, but no one answered the phone, so I used the emergency bell. At the other end of the bell there was a very annoyed employee from the MK headquarters who told me to use the machine to check in and pay with a credit card or Klarna. However, since I was traveling for business and the agreement was to pay in cash, I traveled without a credit card and Klarna is not used for business. I told the lady at the head office this, but all I got was the answer: "No entry without advance payment", which the annoyed employee kept pointing out. After about 30 minutes of discussion, the still annoyed employee said "I should look for another hotel. However, I will be charged for the room I had already booked because I didn't check in." The employee also said "I didn't cancel before 6 p.m., so I have to pay". I emphasize that I ONLY wanted to check in and not cancel. After the employee pointed out again that I should look for another hotel, the employee hung up and when the bell rang again, she acted as if she didn't understand me.In the end, I looked for another hotel because I wasn't allowed to stay in this hotel, which turned out to be quite difficult in Frankfurt at 11 p.m.Only after threatening legal action was I credited 100% of the money for the first night. The second employee, who I was able to clarify the situation in person the next day, told me that the machine in front of the door was regularly broken and that there was a lot of trouble with the employees at the headquarters.Unfortunately, to the dismay of the guests.I will never enter this hotel again and I would recommend it to anyone else who only plans to stay in this hotel.

Price/performance is not given at all (at the time of the trade fair). Small - but at least clean - room. Breakfast was actually outrageous for the price (everything at the buffet was at best standard - and that for €16) but it wasn't even served on the weekend because breakfast was spontaneously canceled due to illness of an employee. We were only informed of this upon arrival - if we had arrived at times when only automatic check-in was possible, we probably would not have been informed of this at all. For me and my business partner (i.e. lived in 2 rooms), the TV remote control didn't work, nor did the heaters (on the ground floor). Apparently the thermostat is set so that the heating doesn't come on yet. Since we later had a room on the 1st floor and the heating worked there, that was simply not true. They probably just didn't want to deal with the problem. In addition, bedside lamps that don't work, the house is very noisy and in the middle of an industrial area - I don't understand the reviews on Google. You simply cannot book this house at that price (during trade fairs). At the price of a super-low-budget motel that would be fine - but not at the price of a (at least) decent hotel.

I got nothing to complain about. I was at EURO in Frankfurt and this hotel was really all I needed for 3 nights. Good location, single bed rooms, clean and just 15-20 minutes by train to Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof.
