Six out of five stars.Great family-run hotel on the idyllic village square of Eglofs with a wonderful view of the valley. Clean rooms, which can also be reached via an elevator, just make you feel good. Very warm and family atmosphere. Nice, friendly, attentive first class service. Great breakfast, every wish is catered for. For us the best restaurant in the entire area. Above all, there is a portion of potato salad with the salad that is second to none. Soups, main courses and desserts are fresh, plentiful and very tasty. Beer is freshly tapped. The rooms are modern but still traditional. If you want to use public transport (Isny or Wangen), the bus stop is in the immediate vicinity. The hotel will give you very good advice on how to use this. This means you can easily leave your car in the hotel parking lot.Dear Kresser family, we would love to come back.

Unfortunately, our reserved table was given away to other guests, and after a few minutes of waiting we were assigned a place right next to a larger and naturally louder group.The fact that we only got the drinks after 20 minutes was free. It was probably due to the fact that there were quite a few guests present.We both ordered onion roast roast - compared to our last visit, this was not only noticeably more expensive but also significantly smaller.Tasted good, but only garnished with a few fried onions and a small dollop of relatively tasteless sauce.The side fries came in a small bowl which I initially interpreted as my sole portion - but no: it was actually intended for both of us.I fully understand that everything has become expensive these days and everyone has to calculate hard, but sorry: this meal is definitely not worth the price, for 30 euros I expect to at least be full.The taciturn and curt service staff didn't make up for the disappointment, so we decided not to visit their restaurant again.

The welcome at the hotel was very warm, our wishes were already taken into account when booking, the room was under the roof, very nice, very high and flooded with light, but unfortunately very warm. The room was cleaned every day and the breakfast offered far more than we needed. At the hotel we got tickets for the garden show in Wangen. The location is excellent for our needs, we were quickly in Isny, Lindenberg and Wangen.We'll be back.

+ very nice building (outside and inside)+/- Service was unfortunately not that good/satisfactory+/- the dishes were sometimes really good (fish) and sometimes pretty bad (bread dumplings with mushrooms)Overall, unfortunately, it's not entirely convincing, also because the prices don't fit the overall package.
