The hotel is now being renovated. They will be completely renovated apartments. Spacious, bright, beautiful apartments in a nice location. You still have to wait until the handover, it will be a great place.

On September 10th, 2022 I booked six double rooms in this hotel for July 7th - 9th, 2023. Since recently, among other things, Bad reviews were published due to renovation work, I called the hotel on June 29th, 2023. During this conversation I was informed that, apart from some painting work, the renovation had been completed and that we would have a quiet stay with our group. On July 3rd, 2023 I received a call from the hotel saying that they could only offer me two of the six rooms I had booked. They generously allowed me to cancel my booking free of charge.For me, this is not a business practice and shows me that if you book here for a larger group a long time in advance, you have to bear the risk of a short-term cancellation. I would never book a room here again for a larger celebration. Therefore my rating: unsatisfactory minus minus.

Very centrally located on Schlossplatz in Hechingen. Our room had a view of the castle, but the furnishings were getting old - repairs had obviously started to be made. The beds and cleanliness were fine. The reception was very friendly. But there is currently hardly any hotel service. Nevertheless, we were overall satisfied with our choice for our short stay. The city center is right in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

The hotel is currently being rebuilt and renovated (June 2023).A concept is not recognizable.Room:Bright and spacious, but really furnished with the cheapest high-gloss plastic furniture, sloppily constructed, everything crooked and crooked. The plus point was the really comfortable bed, good mattress. The bathroom is newly renovated and consists of two window fronts, one facing west, which makes the bathroom not only bright in the afternoon, but extremely bright; unfortunately, darkening is not possible. Pleated blinds or other shading would be appropriate, instead the cheapest window films, some of which are already peeling off, are stuck on, but they don't make it any better. Extremely noisy. WiFi is available, but it keeps breaking down in our room; it is only stable in the hallway.Breakfast:Very good fully automatic coffee machine. The rest not worth mentioning. Even in such a simple hotel, it wouldn't be asking too much to serve a few fresh rolls instead of the cheapest baked goods and really old wholemeal bread, especially since there are several bakeries all around within walking distance.Location:Even if the operators can't do anything about it, it has to be said. “Schlossplatz” just sounds like a good address, but it isn’t. On Friday and Saturday evenings, everyone who is loud, has a booming bass in a lowered car, preferably made in Bavaria, and can obviously only communicate by shouting with a macho demeanor, meets directly in front of the hotel. That, as in our case, until 4:00 a.m.Service:There is none, the reception is usually unstaffed and the house seems strangely "empty". When I politely informed a lady at breakfast in the morning that the container with the espresso beans on the fully automatic machine was empty, judging by the scowl in her eyes, it bordered on insulting.Overall, absolutely not recommended. We booked it quickly in a hurry because of the central location and because our favorite hotel in Heching was fully booked.

The worst place I’ve stayed. Tiny room, unusable small bathroom. The entire hotel stinks of smoke, and the front desk was unmanned when we arrived (within posted checkin hours). Woke up to construction happening in the hallway outside my room - a full on event, with metalworking going on, etc. Louder than an engine, outside my door. Avoid!

No parking spaces from the hotel. There is a constant smell of smoke in the hallways. Sockets and radiators almost fly off the wall.

First of all: The staff was very friendly and accommodating.The deductions are due to the condition of the hotel. The equipment is getting old and urgently needs to be renewed. Taste can be debated, so I won't even go into the look of the furnishings. During our stay we were amazed at the bathroom for a 3-person room. The bathroom had the approximate dimensions of 0.8m x 2.0m. Even as a slim person it was difficult to sit on the toilet because the sink was right in the way.The cleanliness was okay and since we only spent one night there we could live with the room, but it really needs to be renovated.

Nice hotel with a very friendly boss... We would have liked to stay here with a group, but the route plan has changed. If we come to Hechingen again, we will come here. It's a shame that the new hotel owners had to change the name of the traditional hotel because of the zeitgeist. Good luck and always good guests

The hotel service was very nice, without any reservations.Close distance to Hochenzollern Castle.The decor of the rooms is average.The fee for a dog is very high, which lowered my rating of the hotel. It was the first time in a hotel that we paid this much for the opportunity to stay with a dog. A fee of 15 euros per day for a dog is a huge exaggeration.
