We came here again spontaneously for dinner and were rewarded with a culinary delight. The sauerbraten with potato dumpling was so perfect, simply in a class of its own.And for dessert a delicious chocolate souffle. It couldn't be better.

Today we drove to the Krone in Nellingen again with the motorhome. This time just for breakfast.As always, everything was very nice and friendly. Since the parking spaces were all occupied, we stood further up in front of the garage.Unfortunately, on the way home we were told by the receptionist (redhead) that we shouldn't park there in the future.It's a shame, it was completely unnecessary, it didn't hinder anyone. I could have left at any time. But it wasn't necessary.But the guest still has to be given a reprimand for the onward journey. And then preferably in cash without a receipt. But everything is definitely in order.It's a shame for the nice young couple who run it.Next time I'll hang my motorhome on the famous air hook. Oh no. Go somewhere else now.

Very nice hotel/gasthof.Very friendly people, especially to our dog 😉 really pet friendly!Wheelchair accessible! And also ideally close to the highway, only 5 minutes from a gas station on this route. Recommended! Will definitely come back again. Thank you 😀

A beautiful drive-through hotel. Super friendly welcome. Very good price-quality ratio. A real southern German hotel in a small village a few kilometers from the busy motorway. Very spacious rooms and a nice adjacent restaurant.

The young man who served us was very polite, but unfortunately a bit overworked. When no one came to pay, my husband went to the reception. An older lady (probably the boss) cashed in, the tip was probably not enough for her because she became very rude and didn't say goodbye 👎

We have enjoyed being guests of the Stricker family for years.Regional food of excellent quality! The best spaetzle in the country!!! Very good service and simply the most family-friendly and dog-friendly hotel/restaurant.We always like to drive 40km for this.Kind regards (also to Gustav, the sweetest Spitz/receptionist)

Great hotel (for transit). Also had a snack in the evening. Tasty German menu. They also have a menu with children's menus.The hotel also has one 11kWh charger at €0.50 per kWh (at the time of writing)Oh, and this little big friend is also walking around 🐶 Very nice!

Gem along the “8”!This original distillery of “Swäbischer Hochland Whiskey” was a wonderful stopover for us!The friendliness was immediately noticeable on the phone. The kitchen opened late which was a huge godsend for us. The food is made with passion and you can taste it!The beer garden is inviting, rustic and very neat! Unfortunately it was bedtime for the children, but taking a Héfe Weissen to the room was no problem.We slept wonderfully. The rooms are clean and very spacious. The shower looks a bit dated but is functional and clean. The beds are large and the mattresses offer a lot of comfort. The pillows are just too soft and too small, but I think that's everywhere in Germany. ;-)We received a very friendly welcome at breakfast. The coffee is delicious and there is a wide choice of tasty and healthy food.However, the Nobel Prize goes to whoever created the brownie-like delicacy! That delicious combination of marzipan and chocolate is reason enough for me to go back!Yet all this is topped off with a hostess who breathes hospitality! She has an eye for the children and with her Gustav (a super cute dog) she is involved with all visitors. She radiates peace and the honor was entirely mine to meet her!~Thanks for everything!~

The rooms are fine but very dated. As a result, it doesn't all look fresh anymore. Nice people, but they did not resolve the issue so neatly with a dish that contained ingredients to which my son is allergic. Top location for a transit to Italy.

We have spent the night here several times on our way to Austria. Excellent rooms and nice, friendly service. The dog can always come along after consultation. It is a bit away from the highway and therefore quietly located. There is ample free parking behind the hotel. The hotel restaurant has a wide variety of dishes to choose from and all taste great. The breakfast buffet is also excellent with sufficient choice from sandwiches to cereals and fruit, and a choice of various drinks. We love coming here!

We were there for a whiskey tasting. It was a completely successful evening. Highly recommended, even if you're not a whiskey connoisseur. Everything is explained very well, there is also a short guided tour and afterwards you know exactly how to make the different Whysky and where they come from. The whole thing is accompanied by a mega meal, in menu form, rarely eaten so well. Honest, fine cuisine at absolutely affordable prices. A real taste explosion, always accompanied by a great whiskey. This investment in the evening was very worthwhile and we would be happy to come back. Staff super friendly and accommodating. It's also worth driving there from Ulm, simply brilliant. Gladly again at any time.

We were passing through and stayed overnight at the hotel. The rooms were large and clean. In the restaurant we ate a delicious roast beef with spaetzle. The employees were very friendly throughout.
