Very nice room, with everything you needso needed. Friendly service staff, the boss was also very nice. Good, satisfying breakfast. Room and bathroom very clean and well maintained. My only negative point is the slightly weak water pressure when showering. But that could also be due to the waterworks. We'll be back.

In general, there are not enough hotel rooms in Tübingen. That explains the often exorbitant prices.More reminiscent of a youth hostel with its own bathroom.It was clean and the staff were friendly.

People find another hotel. Price-performance underground. The room is clean at first glance, but there is dirt in the rail in the bathroom and shower below. Water mainly cold.The ventilation is totally dirty. The curtain in the room is hanging halfway down. Lantern in front of the window, no blinds.Breakfast from the discounter although there is a butcher shop next door. Waking up, everything at the “breakfast buffet” was rather empty... underground

My stay at this hotel was very very disappointing. The building was more reminiscent of a youth hostel than a hotel, which was also reflected in the ambience. The check-in process was extremely time consuming, I had to wait over an hour before I finally got my room. The staff was not only unfriendly, but also downright rude in the way they treated the guests. The reception was poorly organized and it seemed like the staff didn't care about the welfare of the guests. Overall, I didn't feel welcome or well looked after there. I cannot recommend this hotel at all.

This is the first time in my life leaving a negative review, but I am appalled! When I arrived, the door was locked with a note instructing me to call a certain number since no one was at the reception. I tried calling that number for 20 minutes straight with no response. After 20 minutes, they finally called me back only to tell me that I wasn't allowed to check in because it was already 18:30. Completely unacceptable. I had to book another hotel last minute. Would definitely not recommend.

The hotel is older, the room is small, functional and clean. So far OK. In the bathroom you can immediately see the differently used/filled shower and shampoo samples. A highlight is the adventure shower: running cold water, warm water comes drop by drop, lukewarm to cold, always changing. WiFi doesn't work. Very noisy room. (Clear sound + facing the street) The breakfast is clear, the rolls (grains) are counted, the bread basket is not refilled. Our request for another pot of coffee (=2 cups) was granted; 1 jug of milk with 1 teaspoon of milk was served with it! Positive mentions include the free parking spaces behind the house and the friendly staff. However, the price/performance ratio is not right here.

Inexpensive, central hotel with very nice and perfect service.The rooms are very well maintained and clean. The bathroom is no longer new, but is still well maintained and clean.Unfortunately there is no ventilation option in the rooms facing the street because of the background noise. Still quiet with the windows closed.But value for money remains top!

This is a wonderful place to stay, great hosts, enjoyed every single moment spent here. If you have a chance to visit the place don’t miss out an opportunity to have a beer at the bar down stairs.

I emailed 7 times and called 30+ times just to get a simple invoice that my company wanted. Completely ignored everything and to date no response.Worst customer service and even the breakfast was just plain bread and butter.

A room for a night or two. The room was small but nice and clean. Everything you needed was there. The mattress was very good. I slept wonderfully. There was enough breakfast. The staff was really very friendly. Always happy.

The accommodation makes an acceptable impression. Unfortunately I could only see the entrance area. The problem was that there was a strict ban on bicycles in the house. Unfortunately, since I didn't want to chain my bike outside, I had to look for other accommodation (I didn't get anything back of the €140.40 I paid in advance). The vast majority of accommodations have some way of storing a bicycle in the house (be it in the laundry or boiler room). That is not the case here. What annoys me is that the owner doesn't want to make this transparent (e.g. write it in the booking guidelines). It probably wouldn't be a big problem to point out that bicycles are not allowed in the house. My two attempts to contact us by email in which I politely asked for goodwill in refunding a partial amount remained unanswered. Since I didn't know whether the messages about Booking hadn't reached the accommodation, I called the owner. She said on the phone that she didn't have to comment (of course you don't have to, I would have at least considered it respectful if she had). When I asked why she didn't write the ban on bicycles into Booking's guidelines, she responded by asking why she should do something like that. All in all, I found the hostess' treatment to be unfriendly and disrespectful and anything but hospitable. I would recommend looking for another accommodation.

I stayed here for 5 days. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The owner is very approachable, helpful, and speaks English. Located close to Tübingen centre. Room cleaning is done every day. Breakfast spread was delectable with a lot of variety to choose from. Only con - the shower is a bit small.Great hotel to stay!

Very friendly staff and a great location. Just the thing for a cheap overnight stay with a good breakfast. If I'm in Tübingen again for one night, I will definitely go to the Hotel Barbarina again.
