Stadthotel Reutlingen

The room is tidy and clean, access is easy and understandable. There are no private parking spaces, which is unfortunately overlooked in the entire description of the hotel. The TV doesn't work, which is frustrating. There is also no information about Wi-Fi, anyone can offer an open “hotel guest” and then make a fool of themselves.

As a note before my review: This is for the Aspire Castillo, NOT for the Aspire Elements - if a review talks about breakfast, this is for the Elements, NOT the Aspire - the reviews seem to be mixed up.Have here from May 18th. Booked two rooms on May 19, 2024.There are no parking spaces at the hotel itself, except for two disabled parking spaces directly in front of the building.The next best parking garage would be the “Parkhaus Stadtmitte”.Alternatively, park on the side of the road in Gartenstrasse - it's free at night (no parking permit required).Check-in worked semi well.You need a reservation confirmation from the hotel itself (not from the booking site such as Expedia, Check24 or similar).The rooms were booked via Check24 on March 2nd, 2024.We wanted to on May 18th. Check in at 3 p.m. (according to Check24 confirmation, the time from which the rooms are available) - but the hotel's confirmation only came at 4:13 p.m. after contact with the hotel by telephone.At first the lady on the phone was friendly and helpful. However, when it came to asking for the access code for the second room, she became very rude because she only wanted to pass on this information to the person whose name was on the reservation. Regardless of the fact that both rooms were booked using the same email address and credit card and we were right next to each other.Data protection is technically more or less understandable, but completely wrong in terms of service and customer orientation.After the check-in has been carried out successfully, the rooms.You will receive the room number and access code from the machine at the entrance.The furnishings of the hotel and the rooms are chic, simple and stylish.Problems with the rooms:- Mold spot on the ceiling above the shower- Separating strip from the sleeping area in the bathroom is not fastened properly, the screws are sticking out - risk of injury- Paint stains on pretty much all walls- Not all sockets are flat and neatly mounted, but rather look slightly out of the wall- The bed linen is unhygienic as some of it has undefined stains- The cleaning staff should be better trained/paid and/or checked as the room was also not cleanOur companions noticed the following things- The TV didn't work- Curtains were partially damagedFinally, there was a fire alarm on the fire alarm system on the ground floor in the "lobby", which apparently no one was interested in and there were cables hanging out of the wall, insulated only with Wago clamps, where a lamp had apparently been mounted before.All in all very dissatisfied, it was the first and only time we stayed here.

Disgusting!!!!!Paid for the room. Arrived in an hour. The automatic door does not open!!!!It says that the reference number is not valid!!! I sat outside the door for several hours. Never got inside. No one answered the phone calls!!!! The money was never returned!!!!I do not recommend it to anyone!!!!

Clean Value4Money hotel. Room adequate, helpful and very committed cleaning lady, no reception, access via PIN code. It should be sent via email 24 hours before arrival -> our code arrived late and had expired BEFORE 11 a.m. on the day of departure -> that doesn't make it any easier to put your luggage in the car. Speaking of which: there is space for 1 car directly in front of the hotel entrance (stopping time is 10 minutes), there are hardly any other parking spaces available, the entire city center is a short-term parking zone from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. (max. parking time 2 hours). 24-hour parking garage 1 minute awayHotel location: central & quiet. Bathroom redesigned, furniture simple but sufficient. TV & Nespresso machine (even with welcome capsules) in the room. Breakfast option (14.50 as of May 2024) in the “sister hotel”, about a 2-minute walk away.P/L matched overall. Gladly again.

Room and location ok, but no reception but only a machine to check in yourself, that was a disaster. Don't pay shortly before you get there because otherwise the booking won't be updated yet and the machine won't let you in. A day later the door no longer worked at all and a technician had to come... and room service threw away my (plastic) water bottle, which was also totally annoying and unnecessary.

Was a guest here before, unfortunately the hotel has declined significantly. The positive: It is very well located. Check-in is automated and worked well for me. The room was quite cheap.Otherwise: Carpet in the room wasn't completely clean. There was mold in the joints in the shower, some silicone was applied afterwards, but it was very unclean. There was no dark curtain on the window, it was quite bright at night. The transparent curtain was only partially hanging in the rail.

Room 15 - Part of a pigeon cageThe hotel is ideally located in the middle of the old town of Reutlingen. Unfortunately, many pigeons also live there. Room 15 had two windows facing the courtyard, which was a pigeon cage, even fenced in with nets. The cooing could be heard even with the windows closed. I found it very unpleasant and will not book the hotel again so as not to accidentally end up in the pigeon backyard again. The rest was great!

I wanted to book the hotel and asked by email for an offer and an answer to a few questions. After waiting almost 5 days and 3 calls, I was told it would take almost a month to answer! The communication is poor and catastrophic for a hotel! 0 stars would be a nicer rating here!The same rating applies to the Aspire Elements, also in Reutlingen!

The self check in is an absolute disaster! There was no booking, called, then received the wrong code from the machine, called 8 times, no one answered. Ok then.But never again!! I am really angry!

Unfortunately there was no cleanliness. One corner of the shower was covered in black mold.
