We spontaneously booked one night as a stopover through Secret Escapes. In addition to breakfast, the offer also included a 3-course menu for the day of arrival.Free parking space in the underground car park, very nice, spacious, clean and modern room, small but nice spa area, nice reception, generally really nice staff. The absolute highlight was the 3-course menu. Very fresh, well prepared food! Excellent taste!We had a great short stay and would come back at any time.

Unfortunately I booked the wrong date. Despite a cancellation request to change the date just 6 hours after booking, the hotel refused it.This is not a service.

Room was quite ok.Service at breakfast incredibly slow. I sat there for 20 minutes until the first coffee came.... I had made a reservation and was alone in the restaurant...Price performance doesn't really match

Great hotel, it says well in the description with a steam sauna, ok, I'll take it, call about 2 weeks in advance because you have to make a reservation in advance, the lady says it's not ok, then cancel, you think it's not possible, you ask the nice one! Lady, what do you do because that's why you booked, no matter there's no sauna there and hangs up, thanks for the great service

Great for 3 days in September. Old inn newly renovated and supplemented. Very nice. We had a new Selekt double room in the main building with HP. Very chic with wonderful wooden floors, beautiful furniture and a daylight bathroom with a door. Great! We were missing a second armchair or chair, as shown in the photos, which was brought to us immediately. There was a problem with the sink when we moved in, which the great building technician fixed immediately. In general, the staff throughout the house are very, very nice. A wardrobe would be nice, but there were drawers. The minibar is refilled free of charge every day. The hotel is centrally located, but still quite quiet. The public transport, which can be used free of charge, stops almost in front of the front door and runs very often. Really great food.There are also a few negative points. Fischbach is very unattractive. The lake so close, but you can't see it, hardly any access. We also lacked a kettle. Air conditioning cannot be individually controlled, but is at least available. Few parking spaces, but free. The breakfast concept very difficult. Everything must be ordered individually. The staff runs and runs and it still takes forever. Maybe it's ok for vacationers, but not at all for business travelers.

Nice hotel but unfortunately the price/performance ratio is not right here.Some of the equipment is very high quality and very quiet, especially in the new building. You can't hear your neighbors.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Maier in Friedrichshafen. The rooms were extremely clean and well equipped, every detail was really thought of. From the comfortable bed to the modern bathrooms – everything was great! The friendly staff and the pleasant atmosphere rounded off our stay perfectly. NEVER AGAIN!!When we arrived the air conditioning was at 28 degrees, that can happen. After I tried to lower the temperature in the room, I quickly realized that air conditioning was not possible and only warm air was coming out. After several unsuccessful complaints, we decided to leave the hotel on the third day. The lady in charge probably didn't understand my complaint and reacted quite rudely and ultimately just left me there. Not even a “sorry” or an apology. I don't need to be told unqualified sayings like, open the window, it's getting cold, or it was cold last week. Opening the window would have been possible, but not a longer option due to the main street in front of it. With a room price of around 200 euros per day, I expect a functioning air conditioning system. I don't even want to talk about a smoke detector in the room that was torn out of the ceiling, nor about the strange, foul smell in the stairwell and the disgusting toilet!!! I wasn't even offered another room. Another receptionist confirmed to me that the air conditioning was not working properly.

The rooms are fine. I had a room in a new building. The parking garage is also located below. What's a real deal-breaker for me is the breakfast. You must reserve a time in advance when you want to have breakfast and this is a la carte. So having breakfast for half an hour quickly turns into more than an hour due to the waiting time because you have to order everything. And having to reserve a time also does not correspond with the holiday feeling. You don't want to commit that early.

Great, friendly run hotel in the FH Fischbach district with clean and tidy rooms, a la carte breakfast. Parking options are available directly around the hotel, including a smart underground car park. Lovingly designed house with stylish new building. Opposite on the other side of the street is a bus stop, further down the street you come directly to Lake Constance. Free WiFi with stable, good quality is available in the room.

Our stay at the Hotel Maier was overall pleasant, but with a few weak points. We had a large room on the fourth floor that was very clean and, above all, quiet - a big plus. The mattress was comfortable and we were pleased that the minibar was included in the price.Unfortunately, there were some aspects that made our stay less pleasant. The shower only provided lukewarm water and the bathroom was quite cold overall. The sauna was particularly disappointing: it is far too small to be considered a "spa", and the outdoor area on the terrace was uncomfortable as it is right next to the kitchen exhaust, which leads to unpleasant smells. There was also only one towel per person, which is insufficient for a sauna visit.The service also left a lot to be desired. My wife ordered water on the room phone, but it never arrived. What disappointed us most, however, was that we didn't receive anything to eat from the kitchen in the evening, even though we were prepared to eat in the room. This is not the hospitality we expected - a shame.A clear plus point was the breakfast, which was really very good. Instead of a buffet, it was offered à la carte, and this was also included in the price.Despite the negative points mentioned, we plan to give Hotel Maier another chance in the hope that the service will improve.

It's a shame, definitely more appearance than reality, that's what happens when you rest on your apparent laurels. Wilted, brown lettuce, white tomato foam soup, which is served lukewarm in red and without foam, the main course is actually sold out no matter what version and on Saturday evening. The only remaining main course with meat, the plucked Rinderburg, was served with completely overcooked pasta and served lukewarm. The meat was cut like goulash. The supposedly smoked holondaise disintegrated into bubbles when first pierced. You could use the bottom of the water bottle to make black circles on the white tablecloth. The espresso was lukewarm and without a nice crema. Some of the dishes were damaged. The best thing about the evening here was the Zweigelt by Claus Preisinger. Sorry and many thanks to our friendly waiter who was able to put up with all the nonsense. Cooking performance overall neither desired nor able. Thank you for the lovely evening.......The room didn't really stand up to a second look either. It's actually relatively new and very worn out. Unfortunately, one of the doors in the building is very loud and slams shut.

Hotel:The room was clean, compact, quiet. One can question whether the sliding glass door to the sanitary area is optimal, but in any case it closes rather poorly.The wellness area was minimalist, clean and pleasant. Except for the missing sauna towels. There is 1x bathrobe and 1€ sauna towel per person. P. in the room, but who dries themselves with the towel that was soaked in sweat and lying on the sauna wood? When asked at reception there was another sauna towel.Restaurant:Overall, the dishes were very tasty and some were striking. Not every course met our taste, but as we all know, tastes are different. Wine was great.The breakfast was very good with table service a bit unusual. Looking back, it was very pleasant not to crowd at the buffet, but to start the day with food and nice conversations.The service tried to be friendly and was usually quick. One or two orders had to be made twice and not every plate was clean. A replacement was available upon request.It would be nice if everything had worked out right away, but overall we enjoyed a very relaxed weekend. - Thanks!Price-performance was ok.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is modern and comfortably furnished inside.Unfortunately, the room was very noisy and we could hear what our neighbor was watching on TV. Our room also had some heavy signs of wear and tear (a piece of wood was missing from the back of the bed, black streaks on the wall, etc.).Price-performance wasn't quite right for us.

We were in transit for 1 night and were warmly welcomed at reception. The parking situation is difficult due to the location of the hotel. The parking lot in front of the house is small, but there is an underground garage and a carport. We parked our vehicle there; it is only a few steps to the hotel. The room was quiet with a view of the garden. We slept well in the comfortable beds. Breakfast can be booked separately. It's not cheap, but everything is of high quality and good taste. Breakfast as desired is served by several ladies; there is no buffet. This is also the big problem, because the waiting times are sometimes very long. This concept is not suitable for guests in a hurry.

Very pleasant atmosphere in the hotel, we attach great importance to regionality. With the Bodensee Card, you can use public transport free of charge, with short travel time intervals at the same time. So you don't necessarily need a vehicle on site. Certainly not our last visit.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights with our daughter. Unfortunately, our experience here was anything but positive.Since we booked a room for three people, you can expect that there will be towels in the room. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case until we left. One person was always forgotten. The guest sofa was also only made up upon request.There are far too few parking spaces here. The hotel is in a residential area, there are only parking spaces far away, which is not unproblematic with luggage.However, we have never experienced what happened to us on Sunday morning, the day we left.We had booked without breakfast because we had school appointments with our daughter and didn't know in advance what our time would be like.On Sunday the two of us went to breakfast at 9:00 a.m. and were told that you couldn't have breakfast without a reservation and that the house was full. The employee's tone was completely inappropriate and we weren't even offered a seat inside, which was unoccupied except for two tables. There were 8 tables available on the terrace at the time. We actually just wanted to have a quick coffee and some cereal, but we didn't get that far because we were told very harshly that that was just the way it was. No coffee to go, just nothing and that on a Sunday morning in a residential area that is completely unknown to us. At no time were we informed by the hotel that breakfast capacity might be limited; we would of course have reserved accordingly. There are obviously too many rooms with too few staff in the morning because there was enough space.The reception is extremely unemphathetic, inflexible and would prefer not to speak to guests at all.Too bad!If you want to be treated badly, if you want to live in a room directly on the first floor above the restaurant where no window can be opened because it is noisy and kitchen smells are immediately in the room, if you want to leave without breakfast on Sunday morning, a room for three People are charged, you act as if there were only two guests in the house, you can't find a parking space within walking distance if you like to be treated rudely and unfriendly... Then you've come to the right place!
