A very nicely located youth hostel. The staff is competent and friendly. The food is very varied and tasty. The outdoor area of the youth hostel is very large, so there is enough space to play and run around outside. The location is excellent and as a guest you can be in the city center in about 10 minutes.

We stayed in the youth hostel for 1 week as a final trip. When we opened the room everything was tidy. But what you have to complain about is that it really wasn't clean. There were stains on the bed and on the hopefully washed bedding and pillows too. The food was okay (but I've definitely eaten something better before). The internet is underground. There's no point in offering free internet (it was enough to watch Reels, but we sometimes stopped because the internet was too bad).Therefore 3 stars

Loving welcome with good local tips. Beautiful grounds with table tennis tables, playground, bicycle shed and seating around it, beautiful botany, extensive breakfast! Great location just outside near the harbor. Excellent drinks and coffee with home-baked pastries at the small bar! Cheap drinks from the vending machine. Room clean with everything you need for a few days. I can only recommend it!

The employees were nice and tried hard.The WiFi reception on the ground floor was ok. There was no cell phone reception in the rest of the house. Cut off from the world. This has to be different.

A very classic youth hostel. The rooms minimal, even minimally clean. The food distribution situation is quite chaotic and you sometimes have to wait in line for a long time. WiFi only on the ground floor in the cafeteria. Water dispenser only accessible during meals!The outside area was clean and there were a variety of table tennis tables and table football. However, there are also poisonous plants on the site. Well located, just a few meters to the bus or to the lake. About 12 minutes walk to the city center. Breakfast varied, with fresh sliced fruit and vegetables. And because it is often criticized in the recessions: on veggie Monday there is still sausage for breakfast ;-)

In itself a good youth hostel, but the staff is always in a bad mood, you are not allowed to bring drinks or snacks from outside because they are so stingy that you have to buy everything from THEIR vending machine. A bottomless impudence!

Three weeks ago I went on a school trip with my class and the youth hostel was unusually cool, it was clean and big. Because the weather was so nice, we were able to do cool activities with the class outside, especially with the table tennis tables. It was a lot of fun. There were also a lot of seating options inside, but I particularly liked the class common rooms. We could eat there and we often hung out together in the evenings there and played games or watched Em 😂 . The rooms there were also very okay and large. The food wasn't that bad, it just tasted good and we had a large selection, the buffet was just amazing and what was also very nice was the packed lunches. Service was also perfect, everyone was very nice and friendly. Internet at the youth hostel was also very good 😉. The youth hostel was also very close to the city and you didn't even have to walk that long. So yes, we really liked it there

The rooms are spacious enough, unfortunately very noisy and bright at night. No blackout curtains on the window. The street is still very loud even at night. Shared shower and toilets were clean and good. Breakfast was very tasty but very narrow in the buffet area. Great outdoor area. Very few parking spaces and the alternative options are sometimes quite far away.

Normal DJH rooms and beds. There is space for entire school classes here. It's not a problem because of the night's sleep. You just have to be aware that there are whole classes running around here during the week. At the weekend we were more with families.A very extensive outdoor area with two football fields, volleyball field, fireplace etc. Several dining rooms, also rooms for families. The cooking is tasty and generous, there is a lot of fruit and vegetables.There are also games to borrow and a nice reception. Barrier-free entrance. No elevator

So I was there on a school trip, the rooms are okay in terms of cleanliness, for example the mirror was very dirty and the sinks. In addition, we had rooms without a bathroom so we had to use the communal showers, which aren't really clean and the drains don't work, which makes it feel more like a swimming pool than a shower. What's also not so good is that there is neither WiFi nor cell phone reception for mobile data in the rooms. The food can be made, I've eaten better before. It was also really annoying that it was still loud after 10 p.m. (not just a little, really loud with running around in the hallways and constant knocking on the walls, which also felt like they were made of cardboard. I wouldn't use it for a private vacation Visit the case, it's just fine for your school trip

I was just in the youth hostel with my class for a week. The house has a very nice outdoor area, which was very well received and used by the students. The food is good, the rooms and beds are typical of a youth hostel and good in that respect, the staff is very helpful, very friendly and very uncomplicated. The youth hostel has very interesting modules (activities) that can be booked for a school trip. All documents for the activities are well organized and clearly laid out. We went on really great trips. The people we interacted with in Friedrichshafen (bus drivers, ferry staff, waiters, etc.) were all very friendly. The youth hostel is highly recommended!

The layout of the room couldn't have been any better, right? My mother and I both injured ourselves because of the doorstop that sits right in front of a sink and is the perfect tripping hazard. Employees extremely unfriendly: "Wow, how much longer do I have to argue with you? No food or drinks!" (The conversation only took place once before, and no one said that you weren't allowed to eat anywhere in and around the building outside of breakfast times.), was the reaction to our friends snacking outside the building.Also, no one was informed that you had to pick up bed linen from downstairs, and when this was found out, there were no more and the employees had already left. “Wi-Fi in public spaces” should be changed to “Wi-Fi within 3 meters of the reception and takes 5 hours to connect properly,” because I haven’t seen a larger nil for a long time.
