Stayed in house 312 for nine nights! Nice house. Everything you need is there! If something was missing, the host was always there and ready to help! Every morning you were held out your hand and asked if anything was missing and how you had rested! You can see that the guest's well-being comes first! We'll definitely be back next year! We say thank you for a wonderful and memorable holiday!

We were on a day trip as a couple. Hotel itself is nice. Rooms are clean, you just have to keep in mind that the hotel is a little higher up. Either drive or traipse up the mountain for 20 minutes, which was our case. There are no taxis there in the evenings. Arrived in the evening and enjoyed a cool drink and something to eat on the terrace. However, there was only 1 employee who did his job well. If you are traveling with a larger group, it wouldn't be a bad idea to announce it.:) I can only report positive things and if we end up in the Harz Mountains again, we would go there again.:)

Very nice hotel with adjacent game reserve and sports facility. Food was very good. At the moment it is only a one-man operation, but he is very friendly and listens to the guests' wishes. We'd love to come back.

Absolutely a shame!We booked the Hotel Harzhaus with 8 people about 15 years ago after a positive experience.Unfortunately, nothing remains of this positive impression back then.As others have already written, this large, structurally beautiful house is currently a one-man operation. Very hard but with no chance of being able to offer adequate service. Reception, drinks distribution and chef, all in one hand. In the evenings, a friend occasionally helps serve the drinks.Beer is no longer tapped, but is sold as draft beer but in bottles.I have also rarely eaten worse in a restaurant twice in a row. This applies to everyone present. The “breakfast buffet” is a joke in terms of quality.So this house is in a downward spiral that is open to the bottom.It deserved better.

We had booked one of the wooden houses...We can't complain...It was clean...The apartment is nice and warm...You could also use the adjacent sports hall...The place is well centrally located for excursions e.g. Braunlage Bad Sachsa or Wernigerode...In the apartment there was a microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator and enough plates and cutlery... The kettle was missing but that wasn't a problem...Owner was friendly...if you needed something you got it...All in all it was a lovely holiday... would happily go again...Ps.Sauna and spa area was closed... but that could have been due to the time we drove...

We booked everything for our 92nd birthday well in advance and received a confirmation by email upon request. I asked again shortly before the appointment. Yes, everything stays the same. We arrived there with the very excited "birthday child" and no one was there. When we asked over the phone they said..." yes yes, I'll be there in 30 minutes... There were lots of excuses and finally a piece of thawed cake for each of the guests (no choice) and coffee. A lot of time passed when we ordered drinks. The winter garden was dirty and stuffy (there was a bit of everything. ..New Year's Eve, Christmas, Easter). The dinner was the crowning glory of this "experience gastronomy". A pregnant woman was offered raw beef or fish as an alternative. Some of the food was lukewarm and clearly inedible. After paying, we received well-intentioned and justified criticism The owner showed absolutely no understanding or even a little accommodation for the many inconveniences. Everything is very, very sad. Because we still had great memories of the Harzhaus from before. Now unfortunately it is absolutely not recommended!!!

Nice hotel with a lot of potential…. but!!We were a small group and had reserved 4 rooms! In one room there was pubic hair in the bathtub and there was dust everywhere on the surfaces. The room was then changed. No soap in the shower let alone toilet paper! I had to find some together! No wellness area open, although offered! We were then told that the sauna was defective. But no notice or anything like that.In the evening we sat comfortably on the terrace and had to let us know before each order. We were literally ignored by the boss (or so it seemed to all of us)!Guests who had eaten in the restaurant were seated comfortably at the table and their glasses were never empty!I have breakfast at my house every weekend, so don't have high expectations.Unfortunately, the very beautiful hotel is falling into disrepair and the owners unfortunately show no will or passion for this beautifully located hotel. The outdoor area is beautifully maintained, which was unfortunately the only positive thing.You can make so much out of it!

I can't say anything about the rooms as we only went there to eat.Parking was free and there was plenty of space. Since it was already the end of September, there probably weren't that many guests.Location is beautiful!And there is a wildlife enclosure there, wonderful.There are enough chairs outside, and there is a winter garden for anyone who is cold.We sat outside.You get warm food from 6 p.m., before then only coffee and cake.We were lucky because we got there just before six.The food tasted really good, portions were sufficient, but extremely expensive.Well, it's just a hotel.But if you don't have to worry about money, this is the right place for you.

Booked via a portal, didn't get an appointment, didn't even get a response with a cancellation.Called the hotel because there was no response to emails. You will be rudely brushed off and the call will simply be ended.Sad
