The hotel was just horrible. But now the shop is closed. And the waitress at the kiosk has never heard of friendliness.

Beautiful area and history. I only pinched myself the €8.50 entrance fee for the monument tour. I found it too expensive

We wanted fruit cups (fresh) - we got 2 ice cream scoops with canned fruit, garnished with a huge portion of cheap cream and an old waffle

Here you are not treated as a guest, but as a nuisance. If all this seems to be too much for the boss, I don't understand why she still runs the restaurant and (hotel?) at all. But since new, unsuspecting visitors keep coming to the Kyffhäuser Monument, it will still have sales. I strongly advise against a visit! Ate ice cream sundaes that weren't worth the price. With spray cream that had already collapsed when we received it. My husband had asked for additional coffee cream for his coffee, which the grandson who was serving us? He also wanted to bring it, but it never arrived. We only suspect that the boss may have forbidden him... We strongly advise against a visit. There are other restaurants in the surrounding area.

At the snack bar there was bratwurst with mustard for 2 euros. In terms of taste, it was the worst Thuringian bratwurst I've ever eaten and I'm from Thuringia.

For the boss, guests are just dirt. A man didn't even get a glass of water when he had a circulatory problem, the boss came with the statement "I don't deserve it" and refused it. As a former employee, I noticed a lot: leftover food was sometimes thrown into the countryside, the dogs ran around in the kitchen, the employees were treated like stupid people, people ran after their money... etc. Not recommended, people like that have no business up there, especially since they've already messed with everyone up there who runs a small business.

Please save yourself a visit here and eat a hundred meters away or directly in the next town. I have rarely experienced such an old, worn out establishment with such poor service. NEVER AGAIN
