The hotel is centrally located in the city center of Wernigerode, there are many great half-timbered houses in Wernigerode, I also made many trips in the surrounding area to Thale, Quedlinburg, Halberstadt, Goslar and the classic in the Harz region with the Harz narrow-gauge railway to the Brocken drinking the Schierker Feuerstein 😊!

A very clean, quiet and beautiful hotel. It is very centrally located. Owners and staff are very attentive. The breakfast is very special, delicious and varied.We are already looking forward to our next stay.

45 years of graduation in one of the best hotels in the city, which surprised us all. 13 people arrive from all over Germany at different times, so Mr. Fehsecke had his hands full trying to guide us and our cars to the hotel parking spaces at a sprint, with his cell phone to his ear. You could immediately sense the helpfulness and dedication with which he welcomes his guests and conveys a positive feeling of goodwill. You can see it in every place in the house, be it the individuality of the room furnishings or the breakfast buffet. If you don't appreciate this kind of attention to detail, you've come to the wrong place. Whether old collector's cups or homemade jams, a successful symbiosis of "old and modern"The class 12/2, class of '79 from Halle would like to thank the entire team and the Fehsecke family for the weekend, who shine with warmth and friendliness. It couldn't be better.

The hotel is located in the historic old town of Wernigerode. The rooms are stylish and furnished with great attention to detail, just to make you feel good 🥰 We would particularly like to mention the cleanliness of the entire hotel. The landlords are always very considerate and are always there for the guests if they have any questions. We would like to visit this hotel again and again and at the same time it is our recommendation for your holiday trip. 👍👍👍

Very well located hotel. Rooms are furnished with a lot of love. The breakfast was rich. Attentive and helpful hosts and employees. The mix of modern and rustic is very successful. I spent a wonderful week there. I would be happy to come back.

I can only recommend the Hotel zur Tanne to everyone. The location is great, not very far from the old town hall and therefore also suitable for older people. What the Fehsecke family have done with the hotel, which looks inconspicuous from the outside, is admirable. The attention to detail, the mix of old and new is very well done and tasteful. We had the holiday apartment that left nothing to be desired and we felt very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. The team was very friendly and helpful. We were very satisfied and can only thank you!

We booked online at short notice.We were able to check in online before we arrived and were greeted in a very friendly manner, as if someone had been waiting for us.A wonderful room awaited us! Lovingly furnished, with lots of great equipment solutions. If you look closely, you'll notice that the owners have put a lot of effort into it. The room was also very very clean!We had breakfast included - there was something for everyone here too. Sweet or savory and healthy :-)All employees encountered were very pleasantly friendly.Thank you, we had a very nice weekend!

The location is great, right in the heart of the ancient town.
Our room was very cosy, well designed and decorated, and comfortable.
Breakfast is great, so is the staff. Definitely recommended.

We spent 4 days at the Hotel Zur Tanne. The house has been in the family for 120 years and has been lovingly designed/restored. The fact that the Fehseke family is here with a lot of heart can be seen in every room and every detail.The rooms are furnished in a rustic-modern manner and are still decorated with small memorabilia from days gone by. A beautiful old picture here, the sewing machine converted into a washbasin there... the generations that came before cannot be honored more beautifully.Breakfast was served in the guest room and the former fireplace room. Here too, nothing was left to be desired. Everything - whether fruit, cheese, sausage, small salads, sweets... is very decoratively arranged.The table was magically set with special dishes every morning. Here the family uses collecting cups with matching plates. It went perfectly with the charm of the old house.We would like to thank you for the wonderful time and for the warmth.

Pay particular attention to the small details.From cleanliness to breakfast there was nothing to complain about.A family business that is there for its guests.

We were given a stay at the Hotel zur Tanne in Wernigerode for a long weekend for our 60th birthday.What a hotel, a pearl in the city of Wernigerode. I have never seen such an extraordinary hotel. It is an old hotel that, despite its simplicity, still contains pure luxury. You have to see how they worked with extraordinary materials here. This harmony between the old building and the tasteful modern furnishings is indescribable. You keep discovering new details. It is so lovingly decorated without seeming too overloaded, someone with a lot of taste and love for this house has put their hand into it. Everything just fits together, right down to the dishes. Even the breakfast buffet is lovingly prepared, small, elegant things, a feast for the eyes and for the palate anyway. The staff is lovingly polite, somehow quiet and very, very attentive without seeming intrusive. The inner courtyard has something almost village-like about it; you feel somehow safe here. Plus, it's only a few minutes to the market square, so when you step out the front door you're immediately surrounded by beautiful shops. On the way to the market, there are many places left and right, there is something for everyone. Wernigerode is a beautiful city, with holiday flair and sights. Definitely worth a trip. So for us it is clear that if Wernigerode, then only this hotel. Why not visit this extraordinary hotel and let yourself be enchanted, or perhaps even inspired.

The Hotel zur Tanne was a very nice hotel. We had a double room in the attic. It was clean and cozy. The personnel was very friendly and helpful.As a note, but not as a criticism: no mixer tap in the bathroom.We'd love to come back!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel zur Tanne in Wernigerode and it was an all around great experience. We stayed in three rooms with nine friends and each of us was extremely happy with our stay.**Hospitality and Service**What sets this hotel apart is its exceptional hospitality and outstanding service. We were warmly welcomed upon our arrival and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. They always tried to fulfill our wishes and make our stay as pleasant as possible. From check-in to check-out we always felt welcome and well looked after.**Rooms and amenities**The rooms were comfortable and clean, equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The beds were comfortable and the atmosphere was cozy. There was enough space for everyone and the rooms were thoroughly cleaned every day.**Breakfast and meals**Breakfast was another highlight. There was a wide selection of fresh and delicious dishes that left nothing to be desired. The staff in the breakfast room were also very attentive and made sure everything was always refilled.**Location**The Hotel zur Tanne is centrally located in Wernigerode, which made it easy to explore the city and its sights. Many restaurants, cafes and shops are within easy walking distance.**Conclusion**Our stay at the Hotel zur Tanne was entirely positive.
