Planned as a one-off weekend trip to Sorge in 2020, we have been coming back to the hotel in the smallest town in the Harz every now and then and, above all, with pleasure. The Auer family and their team provide a “recreation place” far away from everyday working life and stress - thank you for that! Over time, a lot of money was invested in modernizing the hotel and especially the rooms and designing them to suit the tastes of the guests. You quickly notice that the entire team enjoys their work.We wish the Auer family and employees all the best for the future - please keep it up!Best regards from Lüneburg and see you soon.

We had a wonderful stay here at the Sonnenhof for a few days, with a beautiful room with a view of the landscape and the small railway, a great breakfast and a delicious dinner (we only had bed and breakfast and then ate here every evening), and very nice conversations the boss and the friendly team.Wonderful peace all around, the old western border can be reached with a short hike, nice trips to the Brocken, Wernigerode, Roßtrappe and Hexentanzplatz, Rappbode Dam... it was a great time and we would like to come back.

A 3 star hotel with plus option!!!Very pleasant and friendly stay from the hotel owner to the staff with top food, whether half board or from the menu. We stayed as a couple for 6 days in this very nice hotel (suite) and felt very comfortable. We had booked half-board with a 5-course menu, which we could also change when choosing the menu if the tastes were not suitable, so that we could use dishes from the menu at no extra charge. All dishes tasted great. For breakfast there was a rich breakfast buffet with everything your heart could desire. We are happy to recommend this hotel because of the friendly hospitality and good food as well as the very nice, clean rooms.I would also like to say a big thank you to the people in the background, such as the kitchen, wait staff and room service, who are mostly forgotten at this point. Thanks alot
