Great little hotel in the heart of the Harz. beautiful nature and a very quiet little place. If you want to rest, sleep and enjoy the silence, you should definitely visit Allrode. The relationship between price and performance is equivalent. We'd love to come back.

A hotel that is getting old. We were there for 3 nights. The rooms are ok. The breakfast buffet was also ok. However, there was the same sausage for 3 days.The employees hardly spoke German, but tried their best.

We were there on vacation for a few days and were initially very shocked, the sight was as described in the GDR times. What is a bit attractive is the lobby and the dining room. Drinks and food are the cheapest of the cheapest and it's all just Romanian employees who aren't exactly professional. At the buffet, the chef ran around and sneezed into his hand, the woman at the reception is definitely friendlier and more professional than the other gentleman at the reception, who is also absolutely not flexible! Children bother him. Rooms are run down, although clean but have their best years behind them.Billiard tables are playable, but also run down, the sports room is cold, a lot of equipment is broken and moldy walls, everything smells musty.If you don't value anything, you're in good hands, but if you want to live at least like you do at home, it's absolutely wrong and definitely not worth the money, even if it was all-inclusive.Despite the request for cleaning, only garbage and towels were put in, but vacuuming or cleaning the bathroom wasn't included, even though it was checked.The spa area is also definitely the goods, a lot of things aren't open, the pool definitely hasn't been cleaned for a long time, it's as dirty as the floor and the water was, and the pool was also totally over-chlorinated. The cushions on the loungers stink.My family and I no longer see the hotel because it doesn't feel like we're on vacation! There are certainly better accommodations in the area.

On our hiking tour through the Harz we came through Allrode and decided to stay one night in the hotel. Unfortunately we found that expectations, although low, were still underachieved.Unfortunately, the choice for an overnight stay with breakfast in the area is rather poor, so you're happy to find something at all.The room was ok, but nothing more. On our hiking trips, however, we tend to focus on a warm shower and a comfortable bed; the rest is of little interest.Even the dinner was somewhat convincing, especially since there was no alternative in town.However, the breakfast was a real disappointment, moldy rolls, eggs that had been left in a warm water bath for hours and coffee that was better left standing.Sensitive noses should also avoid the toilet in the reception area as the smell of urine stone reaches respectable levels.So what can you say, you can handle it for one night... if your expectations are low then you can continue to relax the next day.Anyone who thinks that the whole thing will be cheap is wrong... in my opinion, the price/performance ratio is not correct and we wouldn't book it again.One can only hope for the future that the owner will invest some money in a nicer atmosphere and that you can expect a more pleasant stay in the future. However, at the moment there are no signs of…Too bad!

After our second visit to this hotel it is clear that we will never be guests there again.Reception: Catastrophe...so if you want to see a demonstration of how bad service works, just check in there and ask the employees short questions. Unbelievable...it couldn't be worse.The whole hotel is just accommodation when doing activities from there, a bed and a shower...nothing more, nothing less.We definitely recommend going out to eat, the food on offer in this hotel doesn't actually deserve the name food...I've never eaten so badly. The cook should give up his job immediately.The absolute highlight was locking the dining room with a thick chain and a padlock so that no one would think of getting another drink there. Unbelievable... the service staff were completely uninvolved in what was happening. They were there, but they hadn't heard anything about the service and friendliness.The wellness area is closed most of the time, probably no staff, you can no longer visit it in the evenings either, it closes on time.Conclusion: Never again!!!!

Unfortunately, everything in the spa area is closed except for the 60 degree sauna. The swimming pool is not heated and only a shower works in the 60 degree sauna. The broken shower has water spraying out of the wall.The ceiling in the swimming pool is moldy and the area under the glass dome is dripping from the ceiling.

We booked this hotel for 3 days. We were pleasantly surprised. Room was good and the beds were very good. Sleeping is important to me, nothing is worse than a sagging mattress. Food and drinks were very good and varied. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I can't say anything negative. We would come again. You have to see everything, including the price you paid. Therefore everything is fine!

The hotel is located in the small town of Allrode, but close to many places worth seeing in the Eastern Harz. The single rooms are already getting old. It is tidy and mostly clean. Balcony is also available. The bathroom was very small in our double room (530 & 531). In addition, it was not very clean and was already very old. Renovations would be desirable here, as in the entire hotel.The dining room is large and the buffets are okay. But, for example, one day at 7 p.m. a main course was completely empty and was no longer prepared. You get your fixed table. The entire complex is very spacious. There are numerous options for activity, from bowling to billiards to football and mini golf. However, the spa area in particular is in need of a complete overhaul. This hotel is still well suited for hiking holidays as well as for clubs etc. However, with significant drawbacks. Furthermore, the age structure of the hotel guests is well over 60 on average. Therefore not recommended for younger people. I wouldn't go there again ✌🏻🤩💯

Since we had been here in the hotel several times a few years ago, I was very disappointed that the Laconium in the wellness area was simply closed and the 80 and 90 degree saunas were closed with a makeshift wall and the salt sauna was great but that was there The diving pool was simply covered with wood is sad and the swimming pool was completely clogged and the second swimming pool is probably no longer used. It's also a shame the ice grotto had no ice in it, wasn't even cold and smelled musty. Unfortunately, the various bathtubs are no longer in use. It's a shame that was always very nice. There was also no staff to be seen in the spa area.In the dining room the staff was nice, drinks beer and wine and non-alcoholic drinks until 8.30 p.m. you can get as much as you want for yourself.Buffet, well warm, everything was ok, one or two types of sausage and unfortunately only one type of semi-hard cheese. Only curds in the evening, if you don't eat it you're out of luck. At least there was fruit salad in the morning, why not sad in the evening. Rooms haven't changed like they did a few years ago but they were clean.

We were there 3 nights. In my opinion, here is the assessment of the condition and service. The hotel has undergone makeshift repairs. The best thing about the whole hotel is the pool and spa area, but the bathing water is completely over-chlorinated. The cleanliness of the entire hotel is, let's say, okay. The reception staff is completely overworked, probably due to a lack of staff. They tried hard given the circumstances. The overall condition is really not good. All inclusive is a joke. Drinks included until 8:30 p.m., although there are a limited number of glasses provided for beer, for example. When all the guests (98% pensioners) had drunk a beer around 5 p.m. on the day of arrival, no more glasses were put down. Although the glasses that had already been used were put back and washed, no glasses were refilled. If you asked for fresh beer glasses you would only be met with “no, ready”. The service staff in the hotel only speak German to a very limited extent. They also stand at their post from breakfast until after dinner. The operator doesn't worry about occupational safety laws. The games room and the playground are completely dilapidated. Despite the reference to sharp-edged broken toys and the rotten boards on the climbing frame with screws and nails sticking out, there was no reaction from the hotel staff. The food was more of a catastrophe. There were maggots in the cornflakes!!! The selection was more than poor. Everything out of the package, the taste was just very poor.Finally, to the outdoor area. Nicely laid out at first glance. When you take a short walk around the hotel, the horror comes, everywhere around the hotel there is rubbish, bulky waste, hazardous waste and chemical residues that have simply been thrown into piles. It can be clearly identified as hotel trash. Attached are a few pictures.

First of all: the area is quite nice and there is a small pond nearby where there are ducks and also a small sprinkler system that lights up at night which looked really nice. The foyer looked good tooAnd now comes the big and bad awakening: the hotel is really getting old, it really needs a few buckets of paint to turn it into a little piece of jewelry, some of the windows are still really old-fashioned, the elevator was a complete horror It kept getting stuck on the 3rd floor and it jerked so viciously that we got scared in thereThe beds were 2 single beds that were pushed together, the balcony was also past its best, the area was completely dilapidated and the bathroom was very, very small, the ventilation seemed to have no desire to workAs for the pool and the sauna: the water in the pool was very, very uncomfortably cool and the diving pool in the salt sauna was closed offWhat I would like to highlight: there is a bowling alley, a small mini golf course, pool tables and a table tennis tableHowever, the pool tables didn't leave a good impression either but it is free to useThe problem with the network is really bad: there is almost no way to make calls because there is no reception and the WiFi was pretty bad and extremely slowThe rooms are also extremely noisyThe food was quite good, especially the evening buffet was good and varied, lunch only consisted of soup and saladsWe were a group of 13 and we don't think we will visit this hotel again

The hotel is in a very quiet location, so if you want to experience something outside of the hotel, this is not suitable for you. We were very satisfied with the service, all needs were taken into account, e.g. Gluten-free food, the boss even gave support there, thank you. We were all completely satisfied, family vacation with 19 people, from September 5th. until 08.09.24 Thanks to the entire team
