I was there with my sister and parents last weekend. You had to order the food in advance via WhatsApp. I think this leads to less food waste if everything doesn't have to be thrown away at the end of the evening. Upon request, we were also offered 3 vegetarian dishes to choose from, even if they weren't on the menu. The food tasted very good. The guest room was comfortably furnished. The waitress was very nice and regularly asked if everything was OK. I can only recommend it. :)

We slept well. The room is large and functionally furnished. Unfortunately it wasn't ventilated beforehand. But it was clean. The towels smelled funny. The doors close very badly. This means you have to slam it properly otherwise the door will open again. The floor creaks. There is no traffic noise, just birdsong. Price-performance is ok. Nobody comes and makes the beds. We had a large bottle of mineral water in the room. The breakfast is great.

On Saturday I was at Sina's at Schloss pork belly kross, with real ORGANIC VEGETABLES. Really super tasty. Here it comes: €14.90. Extremely cheap.

We stopped by by chance. The concept is very sustainable and in order to have a generous selection of dishes, you have to pre-order via WhatsApp, for example. A completely new one for me. We were able to choose from 3 dishes and a vegetarian version was immediately prepared individually. It was very tasty and the price was extremely fair. Clear recommendation. But I have to accept the concept. We would love to come back to the Harz.

We accepted your nice invitation today and wanted to have coffee and eat cake with you at 3:30 p.m. In the dining room we were ignored by three people, probably employees, and after a short while we sat down on the coffee terrace. After being ignored some more, we drove off again. Too bad. Is this what their hospitality looks like?

We've been there a few times now, which is definitely due to the constantly changing weekly offers. It was delicious every time, the portions were really sufficient and the staff was very friendly. We'd love to come back!

Because of a Facebook advertisement, we went to Berßel Castle for lunch. Nicely furnished and a friendly welcome.It should be “Zander with boiled potatoes and salad”. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the overall package! The pike perch was very delicious, the rest of the dishes were unfortunately disappointing, 2 quartered potatoes, 2 tablespoons of ready-made vegetables, peas/carrots, but the crowning glory was the salad! !!! 1 leaf of lettuce, 2 thin slices of tomato and the absolute highlight: 2 thin slices of pickled cucumber from the jar! and a small dollop of dressing.We didn't order any vegetables! It was so dry, there was no sauce/melted butter or a piece of lemon, no fish cutlery... We're happy to pay for quality, but it wasn't right here.The temporary assistant also had to answer all of our questions, wine selections and desserts every time. It's not a big deal, but if you have one type of dry white wine and one dessert on offer, it should be possible to know this or you can write the types of wine on the menu. Which, by the way, was only brought to us upon request. We had to place our drink order without a card; we were only able to see what was on offer when we asked afterwards.A pity! We would have liked more professionalism from the boss's reaction to our complaint/suggestion. Well, maybe we're expecting too much for €18 per dish!

We came from the Westerburg moated castle because we wanted to eat somewhere else and we didn't regret the trip. Very good home cooking. We found it unusual to be able to choose our meal via WhatsApp when making the reservation. So the kitchen can plan better? Very nice team and last but not least worth mentioning: local beer! I can also drink Erdinger in Beijing! We'll check back next time!
