We were there for a family reunion and had a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable weekend. The arrival was a bit surprising, as the outside facade does not reflect the variety that the hotel offers inside. However, as we were able to find out, it was newly renovated and renovated, so that understandably investments go to the guest where he is staying. The location is great and romantic and only two minutes away from Lake Arendsee. The welcome was warm, friendly and informative, so we immediately felt welcome. We had App.1 with a terrace opposite the swimming pool and the wellness area, sauna area, which was extremely clean, well equipped and looked like an oasis. The wellness and sports offerings are so extensive that you feel physically comfortable. The large apartment was generously equipped with everything, including a kitchen and WiFi, refrigerators, etc. Very clean and very quiet at the back with a beautiful view. The breakfast was of the “finest” and fulfilled all culinary wishes. TOP!Egg dishes were freshly prepared in the kitchen upon request by the service and tasted very good. A true joy.The employees were very accommodating, polite and competent.I can also confirm that it is child-friendly.It is also pleasant that the boss or senior manager took the time to have a chat and share the very interesting history of the building complex. We felt very comfortable and welcome and would be happy to come back to you.Thank you for the wonderful weekend and the really good hospitality.Highly recommended at any time.

Not to be outdone in terms of impudence and audacity.|Not a single vegetarian offer and when asked if you could get something without meat, the flippant remark was "You'll find SOMETHING there." …

One star because less is not possible.Unable to be surpassed in terms of impudence and audacity. Not a single vegetarian offer and when asked the flippant remark “There will be SOMETHING there”.Despite all this, the dish still contained bacon. After being pointed out, the plate was taken away, the bacon (which certainly accidentally ended up on the plate, as the "normal" fried potatoes were served with bacon) was removed and vehemently claimed that there was no bacon on it.Afterwards there was a really outrageous discussion and after my protest, with which I wanted to defend myself against the verbal attacks and make it clear that a line was being crossed here, I was expelled from the house.Never again! Not recommended.I've never experienced anything like that.---Annex based on the operator's comment which contradicts the statement made on site: "You don't have to pay" means, at least in my language, something like "You don't have to pay" (those were exactly your words after I expressed criticism and from you have been expelled from the restaurant). Nevertheless, your incredibly arrogant comment here shows me that you are unwilling or unable to reflect on your misconduct in any way or even to refer to it. Your answer makes that clear again. Thank you for nothing except a most unpleasant encounter that lingers for a long time.

Price too high, very spacious shower with slippery shower tray, no grab bars. Towels partly without hanging. Beds cannot be adjusted. Very nice pool.

At first glance, the wellness and sports hotel Haus am See in Arendsee offers an appealing and friendly atmosphere in the rooms, which are bright and tastefully designed. However, basic amenities such as a refrigerator and sufficient places to hang towels are missing. In addition, the attention to detail leaves a lot to be desired: a rancid toilet brush and a wobbly, worn table significantly spoil the overall picture.Breakfast is generally good, but the offerings for vegans are inadequate. The hotel could make significant improvements here in order to satisfy guests with special dietary needs. A positive highlight is the wellness area, which is not only beautifully designed but also has extremely friendly and competent staff. The pool and sauna area is also a highlight of the hotel, but is greatly devalued by the neglected garden that you get to see while relaxing outside. Here too there is a lack of attention to detail. The in-house restaurant is not only overpriced, but also disappointing due to the lack of options for vegans and vegetarians. In a hotel of this category you should be able to expect that all guests get their money's worth in terms of cuisine. The hotel's employees are largely characterized by friendliness and commitment. Unfortunately, the manager of the house is an exception. Her constantly annoyed and unfriendly attitude leaves a bitter aftertaste and significantly affects the well-being of the guests. Their dismissive nature is off-putting and noticeably spoils the overall experience of the stay. Because of their grumpy appearance, you hardly feel like asking questions or expressing concerns. Although the other employees are consistently friendly, their positive charisma is overshadowed by the boss's constant presence. In addition, it seems as if even the smallest requests are a big burden for her, which reinforces her always annoyed impression.Overall, the house by the lake offers potential, which, however, is not exploited due to numerous defects and a lack of attention to detail. If you are looking for a completely carefree stay, you will unfortunately be disappointed here.
