In the middle of the city, easily accessible on foot from the train station and an extremely friendly staff. The breakfast was extensive despite the comparatively small space.

A very good, modern hotel in a good location on the edge of Hansaplatz. The concept and standard is comparable to Motel One. Very well-kept rooms with everything you really need, plus a good breakfast selection and friendly service. Ideal for a city trip!

ACCESSIBILITY:Leaving this review solely as a warning to anyone looking for accessibility. The reception is in the main coffee shop and the path from reception to the indoor hotel entrance is not very wide and not very accessible. The route from the elevator to the rooms is fine, however we were initially accidentally placed in an accessible room rather than a normal one.For a start, the doors are heavier than any hotel I've ever stayed in, even the accessible rooms. I struggled using both arms as a mostly able bodied person. They are extremely heavy and would be impossible for a wheelchair user alone.The space on each side of the bed is not big enough for a wheelchair so if you have no ambulatory ability, you'd have to get on from the bottom of the bed. The bathroom was decent.However the room we were put in, the accessible room, was INSANELY far in.Like walking was about a 2/3 and a half minute walk from the main door for the rooms to the accessible room.The location was good, the hotel was clean, and the staff member who was there on the second day was lovely. But I do not recommend this hotel if you need any amount of accessibility.ADDITIONALLY, they advertise 24/7 telephone support, this is not the case. We had an issue overnight and tried calling them multiple times from midnight to 7am, they never picked up.

Unfortunately we had to cancel our stay at short notice, the cancellation was unproblematic, quick and easy and very friendly. We were really sorry not to be able to arrive, we would love to stay at this hotel next time 🤗

Service was a little disappointing for my friend who stayed a few days, but couldn't make a local telephone call from reception. He didn't have a German mobile and it would have cost him god knows how much, never mind.

Very nice and modern hotel 5 minutes from the main train station. The rooms are large and very clean. An extra bed is possible for children. The breakfast is rich and very tasty. We were completely satisfied and would like to come back.

Despite booking with breakfast and paying in advance, we were told we had to pay for our breakfast. On the second day, a Sunday, the hotel was so full that the coffee machine stopped working and there were no rolls, no butter, no cheese or cold cuts. And completely overwhelmed staff. Of course, because one person alone couldn't handle it. Since guests usually book in advance, it must have been clear to the receptionist that the hotel would be full. Maybe the staff could have been planned accordingly? In short: booked including breakfast, but didn't get breakfast. And the service overall left a lot to be desired. The rooms were fine. And the location right in the city center, but not on a noisy street, is great. Subway in the immediate vicinity.

I’ve travelled from south of Poland to London with planned break in Dortmund. After travelling through heavy traffic it took us more then 16 hours to get to our Coffe Fellow Hotel in Dortmund. The hotel room was paid already until 11am, so we should just come, check in and go straight to bed, as we always do in all hotels around the world… BUT NOT HERE. As I said we stuck in Traffic on Germans motorways, we messaged the hotel that we will arrive at night due to being stuck in traffic, the hotel gave us the booking detailed to check in via self check In, in case nobody was in reception…We came at 3:05am, we have used a code to open the doors as there was nobody in the Reception. We went to do self check in, our booking was not there! I’ve contacted the 24h number given to us. They said we came too late!What?? Too late? We have paid for the room, we are tired and we want to sleep! The woman’s said that this is not her problem. Someone will be there at 5am to help. I have waited until 5, after long drive, the person came at 5 and said that I have spoken to her, she will not help with my booking at it is my problem. She can make another booking at extra charge. I’ve asked how much, she said she doesn’t know as she starts at 6:30! I’ve said that this is a joke! I wanted refund as I’m tired! She said no and this is my problem!Avoid this hotel!!!!

Unfortunately I'm pretty disappointed.For breakfast: There are so many vegan options touted online, but the execution is lacking. I could hardly take anything from the normal breakfast buffet and always had to eat breakfast somewhere else because there weren't enough vegan options.The room was quite okay.However, the area in which the hotel is located is terrible. Everything is just full of homeless people and junkies.Overall, I would definitely not stay at this hotel again. Everything is also very overpriced.The hotel's response to my review:Apparently it wasn't understood here that I didn't want to pay an extremely overpriced surcharge for something from the shop if I had booked an all-inclusive breakfast (which supposedly had so many vegan options).

Room was very clean. The café could use a broom every now and then. The staff was always very nice. It's very centrally located, but unfortunately there are a lot of homeless people in the city center. Unfortunately we had a spray utensil in front of the entrance door. But overall we can only recommend this hotel.

I can't say anything about the quality of the hotel, but about the manners of the hotel manager. The good man "complimented" me out of his outdoor restaurant right in front of the cafe today in an extremely rude manner, even though I'm a regular at Coffee Fellows. Of course he couldn't have known, since he leaves the work behind the counter to his employees. The reason: I had asked two younger women 1 1/2 m next to me to please not talk so loudly about their most intimate things.When the women then complained to the manager of the hotel, the man immediately came out and directed me to their outdoor restaurant on the square v., which was 15 meters above Black Brothers Street. Hiroshima.To do this I would have had to cross the alley that is often used by delivery traffic. He also wasn't interested in my comment that I had a walking disability.As a Dortmunder, I'm used to strong speeches. After all, Dortmund was and is a hard-working city, but I've never experienced such an aggressive reaction from a hotel manager.It's a shame for the cafe, which otherwise has a nice, young team behind the counter, customer-oriented service and very good coffee.

Rooms very modern and new.Most importantly, they are clean.Breakfast is sufficient and you get freshly prepared coffee from the barista.The location of the hotel is also perfect, 10 minutes walk from the main station and right in the city center.I will gladly come again
