Hello, I have from October 19th, 2024-October 20thBooked a double room in this hotel in 2024. Unfortunately there was only one duvet available, the bed had hair on it, there were big silver fish in the sink, there were silver fish in the toilet. Plus, it was so loud outside in the little garbage house until 2:30 at night!!!!I am very negative and will not book a room there again and then €91.00!!!!! Really awesome

Modern hotel with free parking, but with some shortcomings. In our room (family room) there were some spider webs in the bathroom and obvious stains on the walls and some of the furniture. The staff at breakfast were nice, but not so much at the reception. The location of the hotel is good for visiting Irrland.

The hotel is modernly furnished.The staff is “there”. No kindness, no empathy.My room wasn't completely clean but OK. There were silver fish in the colleagues' rooms. The highlight was a cockroach/cockroach in the room. An absolute no-go.Therefore never this hotel again

Reservation (by telephone the day before) did not take place, but was resolved. Room dusty, floor therefore dirty, you could see under your feet. In the shower there was mold in the grout and on the tiles. Beds and pillows too soft. The light in the hallway goes out even though you are walking there.

A modern hotel in a great location at the Solepark and with a large, well-equipped room. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired and the friendly staff is very helpful.The only point of criticism: the reception is only staffed to a limited extent, even at the specified times.

Just FYI, this review is a necessary read :), I'm generally a patient person who takes reviews with a grain of salt. But... something went wrong here.We arrived at a closed door in Kevelaer. After a while we entered with another hotel guest. After a phone call it turned out that we had no reservation (we had received a reservation number via email!)All guests were informed by email before 4 p.m. (there is almost never a manned reception, which later became very clear).... We did not receive a phone call or email on the day of arrival. So there was no key ready, and there was apparently no option to provide a key.To make a loooong story short after waiting 2 hours in the lobby and 8 phone calls later!!! We were forced to drive to the other Elaya hotel in Kleve at 7:30 PM (30 minutes further)...We checked in late, more than tired of the situation and with 2 children who didn't find it pleasant waiting in the lobby. Everything would be briefed to the boss. The man at the reception (the one who made the 8 calls) claimed that the boss was aware of everything. In the morning this turned out to be untrue, we were treated rudely AND we would have to pay 10 euros more than the room in Kevelaer. While we waited 2 hours and drove another half hour...I refused to pay more. I asked to speak to someone. We were turned away. I also did not receive a phone call to discuss the matter (although this was noted down and supposedly being briefed...) I also sent an email to be able to discuss everything. No answer.I don't care that a mistake happened. That can happen to anyone. It's the disrespectful way we were treated that made the difference here in this review in a negative way... too bad you have to give stars. O out of 5 was actually the only correct odds.

Last year we've had an amazing experience at Elaya Hotel in Kevelaer. This year we went back as a family with kids to visit Irrland. When we arrived at the hotel at 20.30, there was no one at the reception. There was a note with instructions, card activator, room cards and a little note for the wifi. We could only enter the building bc of other guests who went outside. At the reception there was a note we needed to call a number to activate the room card.. Well, it took us over 30 minutes to get into our room bc the service on the phone was horrible(!) and we needed to do everything ourselves. The keycard didnt work at first.... Nice with small and tired kids(NOT). We booked the family room, but there was only one kingsize bed. Next to the bed a sofa, but no sheets, blanket or pillows to make it into a bed. And we will not sleep on a sofa without clean sheets. Because we only had one card, we were left in the room, in the dark when one of us needed to go to the car to get something, bc the doors would not open without the card... Even in the morning there was no one at the reception. I've stayed in over hundereds hotels in my life and never have i ever had this experience with a four stars hotel. Only a two star hotel and we knew about the reception not being available 24/7. So, it's a real shame what happened to this hotel. We will not return.

Rooms very clean but hardly any storage space. The room also has no tables or chairs. So it's a bad choice for business people. The staff are nice and helpful but there isn't much in the way of services. Location is very nice.

Hotel is good, modern and simple... Nevertheless, we booked 2 single beds and there is a double bed. 1 point less. The bathroom and toilets are well maintained. But the door to the room shows a lot of fingerprints and the windows have a lot of cobweb corners... So not clean. Safe doesn't work. And therefore 1 point again. Sleeping was good, showering was good, breakfast was great! We still have to think about coming again.

We booked a room with our toddler to spend two days in the nearby Park Irrland.By the time I checked in, I had only received a reservation confirmation with a booking number and a QR code (in my experience, for check-in). In the evening around 7 p.m. we stood in front of the closed door with a tired toddler - there was no code for the key safe on the website or in the email (according to the website, the reception is open until 10 p.m. on weekdays).I called the hotline, I was on hold twice for a total of over 10 minutes and was thrown off the line both times. Other guests inside let us into the lobby and passed us on to the friendly employee on the phone (after getting a card coded from the partner hotel over the reception phone).The hotline was supposed to code one of the cards lying on the messy counter, which didn't work, so we ended up standing in front of the locked room door. So with the now overtired toddler back to the phone in the lobby and waiting on hold for another few minutes. After the employee coded the card for us again, we were able to pass the receiver directly to the next guests, who were standing in front of the locked door and also didn't know what to do. After more than 45 minutes we were finally able to get into the room.There are 2 stars only for the breakfast in the adjacent restaurant - a lot of effort was made here and it was very tasty.What kind of organization is this and for what service do you pay over €130 a night?By the way, there was no response from the hotel to my complaint - but the debit was only made 30 minutes after checking out by telephone, as the reception was not staffed in the morning.
