Rooms are good and clean, dinner was decent, breakfast wasn't as bad as everyone says! The staff is friendly but still insecure, all young people.

We stayed at the hotel from September 13th to September 15th and also used the sauna and thermal baths. Since I had read some negative comments here beforehand, we were skeptical at first, but we were more than positively surprised, all three rooms were clean, large and spacious. The staff was more than friendly and helped us at any time. The thermal baths and sauna were really great and we would come back at any time. The breakfast was also more than sufficient and everything was more than okay for the price paid.

We often stay in random hotels. We call it the hotel lottery. By far this was the worst hotel. Everything, but really everything, everything, cheap and old. And that for a relatively large amount of money. This is a rip off hotel. Even at breakfast there were only the cheapest ingredients. Never again!

I can only agree with the negative comments, here are a few additions:When we arrived we found old clothes from the previous guest that smelled of sweat in the closet of the room. The “reception” was brisk and unfriendly. No “welcome”, instead: “do you pay in cash or by card?”. We also had to pay €30 (!!!) per day for our dog!?For breakfast there were baked frozen rolls every day, always packaged jam, honey or similar, no fruit. The coffee was more water than anything else. When we didn't have any cutlery one morning and asked the waitress about it, we were taken for fools: "Oh well, there must be cutlery there". Only when she took a look at the pre-assigned table (we weren't allowed to choose) did she give us cutlery. Sorry, but hospitality is different. The rooms are more than in need of renovation. The windows and the bathroom are moldy, one window could only be tilted and the other could only be opened completely. The shower water temperature randomly changes from hot to ice cold. The room was not cleaned during our 6 nights, even though we had the green sign hanging on the door. As a result, we had the same towels for 6 days and the garbage piled up endlessly. The only positive thing was the location of the hotel.

At the beginning of July we (3 people) were guests at the Hotel Roetgen Therme. When we moved into our room, the first annoyance arose: a three-bed room for 230 euros per night with a bathroom and toilet in the hallway! We were not informed of this fact in advance! Promptly the second annoyance: Although I stated when booking that our son is 18 years old and over 1.9 m tall, a cot was put in our room! But the trouble never ended. There was a lot of hair in the beds, the towels were old and tattered and the room was not clean. In total we had announced ourselves as a group of 11 people for dinner. Since we had previously watched a football game together that went into overtime, I took the initiative and asked the guests to mark their food preferences on a menu to make the kitchen's work easier. Even though we were really thinking things through, the boss shouted at us with the words: “What kind of chaotic organization do you have?” A guest in our group then said that it was a tried and tested practice that the customer is king. The lady then replied: “All right, as long as we are emperors, sit down!” This insolence really stunned us all. The next day the room was not tidied, the wastebasket was not emptied and the toilet paper was not refilled. We had to get a roll in the building next door. Awkward! When we finally ordered cappuccino for breakfast on the day of departure, as usual, the breakfast waiter said we should drink filter coffee because he had just made it.In many of the reviews published here you can find consistent insolence from the staff at the Roetgen Therme. Although I often go to this area, I will no longer tolerate this behavior and will give this establishment a wide berth. I can only recommend this to anyone who is planning a stay there!

Unfortunately service was not satisfactory; Room facilities leave a lot to be desired (among other things very old and incredibly noisy to the neighboring room); Price/performance is maximally disproportionate... I wouldn't spend 134 euros for one night (2 people) here again! This can be done better.

Unfortunately not recommended, especially not for the price! The rooms are ok…Using the pool costs extra and you can only enter it naturist. In addition, the employees weren't exactly friendly either.

I can only agree with the many opinions here. The receptionist, a bald gentleman and a blonde lady, is the unfriendly thing I have ever experienced in a hotel. No greeting, grumpy, in a bad mood and always had a stupid saying on his lips.
