The hotel owners are not German. They bought the cheapest internet package because there is no wifi. Also, even though the weather is cold, they do not turn on the heaters. There are cuts in these to earn more. It doesn't deserve this price, I don't recommend it.

The room was large but without comfort. There was a lot of hair in the corners and in the bathroom and the building was very noisy. The location is one of the focal points of Cologne and is very loud. There is a lack of attention to detail everywhere in the hotel and everything is just functional. Towels were generally changed daily.

Overall, my stay for two nights was completely ok. Cologne is an expensive place, even in Kalk, but what can the hotel do for the surrounding area? The room was small, but very nicely decorated and clean. Maybe not everything was perfect in the bathroom, but that was okay. The staff I met were very nice, but I didn't want to do more than check in and check out. I didn't have breakfast, the coffee machine in the hallway was a good idea, unfortunately I didn't have any change. My room faced the back, with a fire escape right in front of the patio door, but I still felt safe. There was some noise from above one evening during normal rest times (around 10:30 p.m.). If you have a problem with the environment, we recommend the Wikipedia article about Köln-Kalk - it's multicultural and you can find out beforehand where you'll end up. It was unusual for me too, but equally interesting and you can still go out alone - even in the evening, even as a woman!

Unfortunately we booked for two nights, the room smelled disgusting and the bathroom was absolutely run down and the dirt and water stains from the previous owner were still visible. Service was virtually non-existent, after I complained to reception I was just turned away or not taken seriously. Location is OK, but you shouldn't go out alone at night as this is a special district.

Not a nice hotel. The rooms are relatively renovated but totally noisy. The location is not nice and the breakfast and staff take some getting used to.

We only booked for one night. Room completely ok, bathroom a bit old and not 100% clean. Parking in the yard is also ok, the entrance is a bit narrow or the car is too wide. The breakfast was a number in itself. 15€ and standard. We had two rolls, one fresh but soft and sticky, the other definitely from yesterday. Two eggs, one so hard that it was already blue, the other so soft that it fell apart when cracked. We didn't try anything else. Only the coffee was great. So you should definitely work on that. Or have breakfast somewhere else.

We only stayed in the hotel for 1 night because of a concert in the lanxess arena. The location is in the middle of a residential area, everything inside is fine, a few blemishes here and there.Parking costs €10 extra per day, breakfast €15 per person. The advantage is that it's about a 15-minute walk to the lanxess arena, which is okay because the traffic before and after a concert is oneCatastrophe.

Luckily only for one night. Hotel location very bad I have to say. Facilities also poor. Price was i. O. Parking lot entrance very narrow, but important. In the morning there is no one at the reception, they are all still asleep. Called 2 of the 3 numbers on the door, realized you were waking up the staff and at 8:30.It served its purpose and is good.

The booking process and check-in was smooth. The hotel served its purpose but there were several areas that did not live up to expectations. The bed was a bit too hard and uncomfortable for my taste. The bathroom was extremely small and the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The floor in particular was very dirty, even though we didn't wear shoes in the room. My white socks turned black after just a few steps. Also the walls were very thin so you could hear everything. For light sleepers, I would strongly recommend bringing earplugs. The biggest annoyance, however, was that we had to pay for two towels because they supposedly had stains from my red hair on them. In all my years of staying in hotels with colored hair, I have never experienced such rude treatment for a towel stain—especially since these stains are washable! My towels at home are perfect and spotless for a reason. What was particularly questionable was that at the end we were simply shown a towel that suddenly had completely different stains than the pink stains that were initially on it. Reception showed no understanding or willingness to consider the possibility that the stains could be removed. I have rarely felt so disrespected and taken for a fool. Especially because we paid an outrageous price for this hotel during Gamescom!!!, which is in no way up to standard, and then this kind of treatment - it defies all understanding.I cannot recommend the hotel. Even without this incident, I would rather invest my money elsewhere where the service and standards are more adequate.
