The hotel has seen better days. It's very big and it's like a dovecote. Our room had broken window handles, no refrigerator, no glasses or cups. The breakfast rooms were crowded and the service was overwhelmed at various normal times on the weekend. It seems like large groups often check in there or we were just unlucky because it was a holiday and a Martini market.

The somewhat outdated hotel is ideal for seminars and training courses. THE hallways are ideal for group work. The rooms are small but clean and well maintained. The only point of criticism is the lukewarm food from the buffet.

I was in this hotel for a two-day training course, I have often been to various hotels for seminars and the hotel always provided writing pads and ballpoint pens, unfortunately not here.At lunch and dinner there was a selection of desserts, but unfortunately without a description (in the age of vegetarian, vegan diets, not to mention allergy sufferers) finding someone from the service to ask about the desserts was not easy either. There were also no dessert spoons available. At the breakfast buffet, scrambled eggs were only refilled upon request and waiting time, one bowl remained empty, perhaps fried bacon? The tables were only cleared upon request and you also had to ask for clean cutlery. This is a great way to start a day. The service in the restaurant was impossible.The room was small but clean, the last time I slept in a 90 cm wide bed was probably over 40 years ago. The rooms are very noisy, the door to the elevators slammed every time and you could hear it in bed, no one from the house service feels responsible for adjusting the door here. Once I was able to fall asleep, I was afraid of falling out of bed when I turned over. However, you don't have to be afraid of going to the toilet, you couldn't fall down on the side, the wall on the left, the washbasin on the right, if someone is a bit stronger or very muscular............... that Shower didn't really invite you to shower either. In the evening only a light, lukewarm stream came from the tap.Luckily it was only an overnight stay.

A great hotel for one or more days. It's showing its age from the outside, but it's beautifully located in the countryside. The rooms are functional but clean. A great breakfast buffet with all the delicious things you could want. The employees are very friendly and accommodating. You can park for free directly under the hotel in the underground car park.

Phew, an outdated seminar hotel.At first glanceReceipt somewhat neglected loose sheets with notes.Hallways and general areas stylish.The room was unfortunately dingy/dustyThe fridge was switched off and I wanted to cool something down. Unfortunately the fridge is so dirty that it's better not to put anything in it. It also smells strongly.Sockets that don't work.A bathroom that needs thorough cleaning.

The """wellness area""" simply needs to be renovated. The ceiling in the sauna area is coming down or panels are missing, the plunge pool is broken and the loungers are completely dirty. We were honestly shocked. The location is nice, the breakfast is good.

Unfortunately, this functional hotel is *very* getting old... the following "highlights" distinguished our room: a torn curtain, a toilet flush that sounds like the Hogwarts Express is pulling in on platform 9 3/4, a bathroom door , which it is better not to move anymore and a shower that is supposed to increase sales in the hotel's swimming pool...Positive: good breakfast, good location.Tip: don't book a parking space (€12!), there are enough parking spaces within walking distance.A little update since we were at the Seminaris again: the hotel also has some rooms that are particularly suitable for newlyweds who want to communicate with others. The combination of thin walls and noisy bed ensures entertainment in many neighboring rooms ;-)Update2: once again there was nothing else available in Bad Honnef than the Seminaris 😞 two highlights: the room smells of cannabis and one of the elevators has the sound of a Boeing landing. Unfortunately, after complaining, the hotel is unable to turn off or repair the elevator even after 2 days. Just disappointing.

The good first.The location is great and the reception staff are friendly.The rooms are getting old but I can live with that.I think the parking fee of €12 per day is overpriced.The disaster is the swimming pool. It is advertised as 28 degrees. It was maybe 23 degrees.It's ok that children's swimming courses also take place there. The little ones have to learn to swim somewhere.Swimming times for the children's courses in the afternoon were pointed out. That's a few hours a day in which the pool cannot be used. Unfortunately, courses were also given in the morning (from 10 a.m.). I had relied on the advertised times and climbed into the rather cold pool shortly beforehand.When I purchased the access card, I was informed that it might have to be activated again the next day.Unfortunately that was also the case.So I went to reception in my bathrobe and, after being activated again, went back to the pool.The card didn't work again. It's a shame, now I've completely lost the desire to swim. And that for €6 a day.The breakfast was ok, but nothing special.All in all, not a hotel that I would recommend

Probably OK for training, but:We booked three nights from September 1st to 4th, 2024 through the “Animod” agency including breakfast for around €240. Quiet location next to a park, only one person at the reception (which sometimes led to long traffic jams), there are also drinks refrigerators (self-service), see photos for prices, next to it there is a Euro pallet bar and a terrace with worn beer garden furniture, very spacious hallways, we had Room 130, very, very warm room with outside temperatures of 32, it was hard to think about sleeping. Of the 3 windows, only one could be opened slightly for the night because the curtains didn't make it possible. The one-piece bed was 160 cm wide .Small bathroom.Very wide “desk” by the window which made it difficult to close the curtains.Breakfast: Buffet in 2 corners far apart. Very old, cheap cutlery, hot dishes were covered and couldn't be recognized due to a lack of labeling. Butter and margarine were unappetizingly served in 1 kilo portions. The scrambled eggs came from a tetra pack. 2 fried eggs were 5 euros extra at a price of € 25. There were baked rolls that were already soft, no cold cuts, no healthy rolls. After 9.30 there was no more refilling, not even when I asked for ham... nothing happened. We asked for a refund of the breakfast price. We were quoted a refund price of €7.50 p.p.d. When we left it was only €3.75 per person per day. The staff wore very casual clothing: there is no dress code and no name tags that would show who you belong to : “We want to serve at eye level and are afraid of failures,” said the day manager (nameless).The house bar was, if at all, only open from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.Dinner as a 4-piece buffet costs €32.00 as a plated meal €19.Of course, if the boss pays for the training... then it doesn't matter, let's take it, the guests are far too lazy to compare.I don't recommend Seminaris to freely traveling guests, they are looking for groups who are willing to pay, but they still turn to Animod, who can advertise cheaper prices.P.s. We were not offered an upgrade to a better and larger room.Postscript:The management's answer does not correspond to the facts, check it yourself (or better not!).. e.g. the breakfast quality, the worn cutlery, the windows that can only be opened to a small extent, the non-existent employee identification, the high Self-service prices...the cheap beer tent sets, no comfortable chairs/tables. Never again a seminary, it corresponds to the level of a youth hostel (but in the traditional style), the expensive parking spaces above ground, parking spaces are available on the street for €4 for 24 hours. etc...mfG

Location:I stayed here overnight to do a bit of hiking at Drachenfels. I arrived by train which didn't pose any problems. The regional train and tram are practically right around the corner for further trips/visits.Check-in/out is quite quick and easy.Breakfast:The breakfast is quite large and there should be something to suit everyone.Dinner:not usedBear:The bar offers a nice, quiet atmosphere to end the evening comfortably.Room:I chose the smallest room. This was really small :) Bed, armchair, desk, TV over the desk.I would have liked a fridge or coffee machine here too. Apparently available in other/larger rooms.The room also had minor defects (door leaf damaged, window handle damaged, there were still some screws in the desk, shower rod available but no curtain?)Staff:Staff were not used but the contact was always nice and friendly.Wellness:I had booked a wellness package which gave access to the pool and sauna.The pool was accessible from 7 a.m. and if you follow the children's swimming lessons you can also use the pool for yourself.The sauna can be used from 5-10 p.m., but it was not in operation on 2 days (stay was 3 nights). I wanted to use it at 7 p.m. I lack clear communication here, be it in the form of a sign about what needs to be done here.Do you have to register your use in advance? To save energy costs? Does the guest have to operate the sauna themselves?I was looking forward to the sauna but wasn't able to use it on 2 of 3 days.

The Seminaris in Bad Honnef impresses with its super attentive and friendly staff.In the lobby there is a great snack bar with a couch, children's corner and terrace to end the long day or simply have a small meal in the bistro. Also great is the opportunity to sit there and work at a long table.The local swimming courses for the children take place in the seminaris - a great thing.The rooms are older, but are clean & tidy. And details will be renewed soon.Bicycles and cars are safe in the locked underground car park.

Was there on business this week. The hotel is very old and it is also quite dirty.Unfortunately, all I found in my room was an already used cup for brushing my teeth. :/There is no elevator from the underground car park to the reception.At breakfast the selection was quite simple and seemed cheap.Everything was cleaned in front of us with a single cloth. For example seats and tables.
