Very good and reliable service, the people are very nice and always ask if you need anything. The rooms are very good value for money. The toilet was also clean and there was shampoo. 👌(Would come again and again)

Location ideal, contact with staff friendly, room comfortable and quiet (location facing the back yard), only the hard mattress unfortunately caused back pain, which was absolutely okay for 3 nights. Would check in here again, absolutely okay for a low budget.

We stayed 3 nights in September in room 202 at the Hotel Monopol City Center in Düsseldorf for €196 plus €18 bed tax. It was the dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed in. Even the entrance area seemed run down. The base of the bed, the chair and the floor covering were stained; The closet, shower curtain rod and bed skirt were dusty; the curtains were partially torn down. The closet was just an empty shell: there was no hanging rail. There was nothing behind the door to the minibar: you could see the wall of the room with an antenna socket that had been torn out. The bathroom appeared to be freshly tiled, but they still managed to work around the dirt on the shower curtain rail. The hairdryer in the bathroom was so old that the plastic parts stuck.Apparently the bathroom in the next room was freshly tiled during our stay (working hours approx. 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m., even on weekends...). This meant that we had to climb over building materials to get to our room. When we took the photos published here, we were informed by a hotel employee that it was forbidden to take photos in the hotel. He threatened us with the police because of it. We happily agreed to call the police 😉, but they never showed up.We were also questioned by the same hotel employee as to why we hadn't told them, then we would have been given another room. Yes, that was probably our oversight. But we simply couldn't imagine that the room we were given would be so dirty and run down and we had given up hope of getting a better room from the start.

The hotel is so-so....there is no large parking lot.....if you want to park, they charge you an additional 20€, no kettle in the room, narrow room, typical kiszka, TV as a mock-up is terrible.... If you want to have a good time and sleep, that's enough Don't count on anything more

The worst hotel I have ever seen. It seems as if the rooms haven't been cleaned in years - not even when new guests move into the rooms. There is mold in the shower and there are indefinable stains on the carpet throughout the building. Absolute disaster. The owner is also extremely rude and unhelpful.
