We were there for one night. Very nice hostess, unlike some reviewers, our room was clean. Sure, it's not a star hotel. The mattresses were also comfortable, not as hard as usual. I can confirm the smells in the bathroom, but when you close the door you don't smell anything anymore. Unfortunately the soap dispensers were also empty. What is not possible, however, is the soundproofing of the house. We lay awake until shortly after 1:30 a.m. because we had to listen to various conversations from other rooms, water was constantly running, and the main drain pipe was probably running next to our room. Unfortunately, the next morning we were completely exhausted. Too bad.

When we checked in everything was fine. The reception was great. We had a nice room. But: the bed sheet was dirty, the room was very cold, despite the heating being turned on at a high level. The heater in the bathroom didn't come on at all. The water pressure also left something to be desired.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this accommodation. There was no breakfast, there was nothing to eat in the inn. I should order a pizza. The floor was full of stains. The cable on the television was torn off and only plugged in, so no TV was possible. Trains and streets are very loud.

Rustic, small room. The bed was comfortable but squeaked quite a bit.Unfortunately there were a lot of mosquitoes in the room because there was no gauze on the window. SHAME.But for the price including breakfast, what can you complain about? You could even make tea at any time.Ms. Mendi is very nice, hospitable and helpful.Would definitely come again.

During our visit to northern Hesse we rented a room at the Gasthaus Rost. We had a small, very cozy room under the attic. The premises were clean. The room was at the back and we slept wonderfully.

Had a room with breakfast but no one made breakfast. Despite that, the full price was charged. Cheeky

We booked a room there from June 23rd to 24th. Check-in was super friendly! It was immediately pointed out that coffee/tea and fresh fruit were free for guests. You were also asked directly when you wanted to get up the next morning so that coffee/tea and rolls were warm. More on that later. We were assigned the room. Spacious, bright and clean. The facility was normal but sufficient. There was a TV as well as free WiFi (ground floor and first floor each have their own password). It was also pointed out that if the reception was poor, you could simply let us know and get a separate router. But we didn't need this because the reception was great. There is also a “smoking balcony” on the middle floor.Location, can be seen via Google Maps on a main road and a railway line. If, like us, you have a room at the front, you can hear the trains, but according to another guest, you can't hear the trains in the back room. This didn't bother us at all! The location is ideal for rail enthusiasts anyway ;) The road traffic was very limited (probably due to the complete closure of one location). Scenic but still very beautiful! The night was very pleasant thanks to the comfortable beds (despite the train traffic - there were a few detours due to the storm the day before). The next morning we went to breakfast. And as already mentioned, the rolls were fresh and warm, and of course the coffee too! The food itself was well stocked and had something to suit every taste. You could even have more rolls/coffee/tea/etc. received upon request. Well rested and strengthened, we were able to check out around 11am.Special mention goes to Ms. Mendi! Who took care of all matters at all times. And that alone! Hats off!Our conclusion: Definitely recommended! If you book early enough, you can even get a real bargain. We will definitely come back as guests (and then for more than just one night)!

The breakfast was good. There were rolls with various slices of sausage and cheese. Plus various spreads and eggs. In addition to tea and coffee there was orange juice. Nothing extraordinary and simple. The room was in a very dirty condition. Cobwebs could be found everywhere, as well as waste from predecessors and pungent smells. The bed squeaks with every movement. The sanitary facilities are very old, dirty and partly broken. The location right next to the tracks is also rather disadvantageous. The freight trains can be heard loudly. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the accommodation at all!!!
