Great atmosphere in this former officers' mess. An endless amount of decorations hang on the walls and ceilings. Curiosity: The rooms here don't have numbers but names. We had the room “Unter den Linden”. And you have to eat the "bucket of bones"!

We held our motorcycle group's get-together in Köpenick...as always, the service was very attentive and very nice. This time I ordered the baked sheep's cheese (tasted very good) and a portion of fries...So fries are a must for me in Köpenick 👍😊....We can only recommend the bucket of bones. 👍👍👍

A great hotel with a great design ideaWe stayed at the Wirtshaus Köpenick with a larger group last weekend and were thrilled with this hotel.Super nice location, a wonderful hotel with twelve different, lovingly designed rooms (I saw seven of them because of the size of our group), a cheerful and fast service team, very good food in the restaurant and, to top it off, Frank Jesgars, a hotel owner who has his Hotel idea implemented with a lot of imagination and great personal commitment.To the hotel:The twelve themed rooms in this old officers' casino in the former barracks in Hofgeismar were each individually designed by Frank Jesgars with great effort. All hotel rooms are on the first floor of the house and, in addition to the good furnishings of the rooms and bathrooms, are very clean and well maintained.The entire house is furnished in each of the rooms with themed antiques and bric-a-brac from the Roaring Twenties (or other eras) and the sayings and pictures on the wall alone could justify a whole day of sightseeing there.To the restaurant:Because of the good weather, we were able to sit outside on both days and enjoy some dishes from the menu, which had a good selection. The hammer was the signature menu of the house, the bucket of bones, which you encountered in a four-meter-tall sculpture in the front garden. A large amount of butter-tender spare ribs served in a bucket with three sauces and whole bread made locally especially for the Köpenick pub: a treat! But the other dishes were also prepared and served with a lot of love.Breakfast:We had breakfast together at a large table with the entire group and not only was the table set with a lot of love, the selection of bread and rolls was also very good, with the great bread that was also served before with the bucket of bones being served again .There were plenty of breakfast eggs, lovingly drawn and painted with sayings, and sausage, cheese, Nutella and jam, and when things got tight, someone from the attentive staff was immediately there, also with delicious coffee. Most of the ingredients come from local farms or craft businesses.The service:Absolutely attentive, super friendly and always cheerful. Special requests were always taken into account as far as possible.Whether at dinner or breakfast: the guests were always treated with great commitment. We have rarely felt as comfortable anywhere as we did here.The boss:A unique person of the first order, always friendly, always with a funny saying on his lips and always approachable, even when things got hectic. Very attentive when I, for example, Sitting outside alone, he saw it and then simply had one of his service staff bring over a cup of coffee.In summary, I can say that we have rarely felt so comfortable in a hotel because this hotel cannot be forced into any framework, but rather impresses with a concept that makes you want to return there as soon as possible.

Hotel visit from January 30, 2023:Staff was very friendly.The hotel was a bit too playful for my taste, but that's a matter of taste.The single room "Kämmerlein" was very small and it was freezing cold when we arrived because the window was open. This is probably defective and no longer locks properly. No heating in the bathroom.Check in from 5 p.m. is a little late.I will book another hotel next time.Update from October 26, 2023:The hotel has now tried to have my review deleted through an internet lawyer and Google. But I'm very firm about things like that.It's a shame that this is the case here, and my review is formulated very objectively and not in an outrageous manner.A sensible reply with an apology would probably have made more sense here.

Spontaneously stayed here for 3 nights (for work). I got a relatively small room, but since I was traveling alone, it was completely sufficient. Very comfortably furnished, small, cute bathroom and everything was very clean.Ate here 3 evenings. All times the quality and taste of the dishes were very good.The boss and all employees were always very friendly.Always happy 😉
