Very nicely located. Price/performance fits.Breakfast sufficient. Unfortunately there is no storage/hanging option in the room. Eating dinner in a nutritious environment is difficult. Hardly any catering.

My husband and I spent two nights here, had breakfast twice and used the private sauna one evening.The location was great - on the lake, right near Waldeck.The standard room was clean, tidy and comfortable. It was quiet and we felt very comfortable.The hotel itself was equally cozy, especially the common room and breakfast room, which are winter gardens and offered views of the lake. The service was excellent - very friendly, informative and accommodating. We didn't lack anything.The breakfast was delicious and had everything you need. The selection was on point and it was arranged to reduce waste. There was something for every taste. Even vegan alternatives are available for an additional charge.You could request the private sauna, which we did. We were given an infusion of our choice, towels, drinks and the sauna area with shower and lying area all to ourselves for three hours. It was very relaxing and we were extremely happy with everything. We would be happy to come back and thank you for this excellent short break.[A notice:Only cash payment is possible at the hotel]

Family run hotel. Location top, quiet location. Parking spaces available, some rooms are already up to date but some are not. Breakfast buffet is lovingly prepared.

The location of the hotel is slightly above the Edersee. Parking spaces are available directly in front of the hotel. The lake can be easily reached on foot in just a few steps down the mountain. You can also get to Waldeck relatively easily with the vintage gondola lift, which is about 500 meters away.We had a room on the upper floor with a small balcony and a great view of the lake. The rooms are completely adequately furnished and clean.The boss and the entire staff are very! friendly. The breakfast in the winter garden is really great. You really put in the effort.What I can't understand at all is that in many places, including unfortunately not in this hotel, you can pay by card. Everyone can come up with their own thoughts on why.

Fantastically located above the Edersee, very nice hosts, small but cozy rooms with adequate bathrooms, great value for money!! Breakfast buffet with all the trimmings in the cozy winter garden with a view of the Edersee.....absolutely recommended!!!

Some of the rooms are a bit small, but there are also larger ones. You have to remember that this is a 3 star hotel, so there are no requirements for huge rooms. Everything was clean, the breakfast buffet was plentiful and it was always topped up. Everyone was very friendly and everything went smoothly. Unfortunately you cannot pay with EC there, so transfer the money for the booking beforehand or pay in cash there. Otherwise there was nothing to complain about.

Very nice and lovingly run house. Rooms clean, breakfast buffet great, housekeeper great. It is well maintained and renewed. Parking space at the house.Location in the 2nd row with a great view of the lake, lake, promenade, restaurants, pier, everything can be reached quickly and easily (approx. 3-5 minutes walk).

The beds are extremely uncomfortable. We could hardly sleep. The boss said that no one had ever complained about it. It's probably because she doesn't ask. Several guests complained about this to us. The room was tiny and the bathroom was from the 60s. Lots of sloping roofs where we hit our heads several times. Despite daytime temperatures of up to 36 degrees, we weren't even offered fans, even though there were supposed to be some. The boss puts a lot of effort into breakfast and is very proactive here. Unfortunately, this idea of service is not present at the hotel itself. The inside of the cupboards was dusty, the rubbish was left in the room (a full bag was on the chair), there was only one roll of toilet paper (luckily we still had tissues). At least the WiFi was good and there is enough parking. But we'll definitely never come back

We had a great stay here as a stopover on our trip to Germany with children and dogs. Beach bathing nearby and lots of forest for our dog. Unfortunately there is currently very little water in it, hence some restrictions on boat traffic. Breakfast is tasty and sufficient.

We spent a weekend here with our granddaughter. We had a great cozy 3-bed room with a luxurious bathroom. We received a very friendly welcome and had a great breakfast with a great selection. The hotel is very nicely located and our room had a partial view of the Edersee. We can absolutely recommend this hotel. Thanks for the nice time.
