Nice cozy rooms. Ours facing the street was just a bit noisy. Nice, helpful staff and a gigantic breakfast.

We deliberately chose a country house in the middle of the village so that we could experience village life up close. The rooms were spacious, the beds were very comfortable, and the newly renovated bathroom had a modern feel. The small, rustic windows added to the cozy atmosphere. The terrace on the first floor with a view of Neuschwanstein Castle was particularly a real highlight.The breakfast left nothing to be desired and the staff was always there if you needed anything.A special highlight in October is the Colomansritt festival, which takes place on the second weekend every year. This year things were a little different due to the weather, but the festive atmosphere in the village was still noticeable.

I was excited to arrive here in anticipation that it would provide me with an authentic experience. I felt a cozy vibe as I approached the entrance.I booked the Kleines Doppelzimmer - Beste verfügbare Rate for 2 Gäste 2 Nächte on their website. It was 258,40 EUR. Judging by the pictures, it was a good price. My Check-in was So. 15. Sept. 24 and Check-out was Di. 17. Sept. 24. It stated that it was directly on the Alps, so that sounded exciting.My significant other and I checked in at the front desk. We were assigned room 8 and then given keys on a keyring. One key was for our room door and the other was for the main door of the facility. Our room was on floor 3.The room seemed a bit dated, but clean. The Doppelbett was pretty comfortable. There was a good amount of outlets in the room that I got to use. I wasn’t too into the style of the Badezimmer, but it was efficient. The water pressure was good.On 17.09.2024, we had Frühstück at Gasträume, which was on floor 1 near the entrance. Our table was 8 Reserviert for us. It felt cozy inside there for sure. It was a buffet that was self-service. On my first trip up, I got an Orangen, a Filterkaffee, scrambled eggs, and bacon. The Orangen was alright. The Filterkaffee was horrible. Even sugar didn’t help the taste. The scrambled eggs and bacon were both bland. On my second trip up, I got a pretzel. It was rather hard. I didn’t enjoy it. I think Frühstück should have been included with my stay, especially due to the low quality. I was displeased by it and felt ripped off.There were Toiletten below floor 1. They were clean and seemed to be kept up with nicely.Checking out was fast. There weren’t any issues.The service throughout my stay here was alright, but nothing to brag about. The employees were helpful at least.Overall, this place did the job. The price wasn’t bad and the location was decent. I think this place has room to improve.Dates of stay: So. 15. Sept. 24-Di. 17. The service was very nice, but the food left a lot to be desired. The food had little to no seasoning and obviously came from the freezer shelf. The price is therefore not justified... If you are looking for hearty and tasty food, you have come to the wrong place.

Anyone who loves frozen schnitzel with frozen rösti in cream sauce from a bag with only slightly thawed mushrooms has come to the right place. Overall, apart from the title, the food no longer has anything in common with pub food. Given the prices, it's an absolute disgrace and a tourist trap.

We stayed at the country inn for one night and were very satisfied. Clean room and bathroom, rich breakfast, good location, you can see Neuschwanstein from the window. We can only recommend it!! Good starting point for trips to Neuschwanstein, Füssen and further towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen, etc.

Small country inn...The room is a good size, as is the bathroom. For us it was completely sufficient as we are not there during the day. Bed was very comfortable, 2 pillows for each 👍Breakfast.... Very rich for a country inn with a lot of choice and very tasty.I think the parking space is great.Drinks machine, really great.When we arrived we received a booklet about sights, restaurants, etcLocation, great.... Supermarket nearby, as well as some restaurants. Forggensee is just a 30-minute walk away.There is a restaurant in the inn, unfortunately I can't say what it tastes like because we were too tired the first day and overslept. We came back late on the second day. Unfortunately, on the third day the restaurant was closed in the evening.Small drawback...Entrance area, very dark and narrow.The reception could also be made a little brighter and friendlier, as it is sandwiched between the stairs and the hallway.Radiator in bathroom was dusty, as was bed/headboard frame.

We stayed at the Hanselewirt for two nights.We were completely satisfied. The evening meal was impeccable and the morning buffet left nothing to be desired. Our focus was the thermal bath, which we could reach by bike in 5 minutes. The location is also absolutely brilliant for taking a castle tour or going to a swimming lake. The staff was super friendly and the landlord was very accommodating when we came to him with a personal problem. We would therefore be happy to come back for our next visit to the thermal baths.

Unfortunately we weren't really welcome. We booked a room with a castle view for 1 night at relatively short notice. The room was a good size, the bed was also comfortable and the castle view was fulfilling, great location right in Schwangau (hence the 2 stars). However, the dessert was completely dusty, the bathroom had mold joints, the curtain had brown discoloration, there was dirt on the door to the bathroom, the "terrace" was covered in weeds, the kettle in the room was completely full of limescale. Added to this was the non-existent friendliness of the gentleman at reception. No hello, no extra word, no service - nothing. Unfortunately for us the price-performance ratio was not at all the same. We were really annoyed that we had spent “so much” money on that night or the room given the above-mentioned circumstances.

On our long journey from northern Germany to Lake Garda, we made a 2-night stopover in Schwangau. Can absolutely recommend the hotel. The landlord was always helpful and gave good tips for excursions. The children were promptly provided with a coloring book and pencils at their first breakfast, and there is also a playroom for the little ones. Only the entrance area doesn't look very inviting at first impression; you might want to think about renovating it. All in all, the price-performance ratio is absolutely right here.

The room is located in a small enchanting village, where all restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Free parking, very easily accessible. Bavarian view and atmosphere. Comfortable beds. Coffee and tea available in the room with refrigerator.

Very nice and quaint restaurant. The waitress, who was apparently alone, had everything well under control. Starter salad and pancake soup were delicious, venison goulash in a fantastic sauce. The dumpling trio was also in a nice cheese sauce. The pretzel dumpling was so hard that it was almost impossible to cut, but since it was my first pretzel dumpling, I didn't know whether that was appropriate. A relatively big drawback: unfortunately there was only beer in the bottle and not on tap.All in all, recommended!
