Wonderful experience in the Weinklause in Oberstdorf :)!My stay at the Weinklause was simply great. From the first to the last minute I felt completely comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating - you immediately feel welcome. The rooms (chalet) were very clean and comfortably furnished. The breakfast was extensive and delicious - even as a vegetarian I could really eat it - there was really something for everyone. The selection in the evening was also huge and the quality of the food was excellent. Fresh, regional products and great service. The location of the hotel was also ideal – central, but still quiet. The Nebelhornbahn is easily accessible on foot, and the bus stops right outside the front door.I can highly recommend this hotel to everyone and am already looking forward to my next stay. Many thanks to the entire team for this great weekend :)

Unfortunately I have to agree with the negative reviews.||It started quite gently with an awkward and abrupt action from the receptionist. …

September 2024:We stayed at the hotel as a couple and ate in the restaurant. The food was excellent and we can only recommend it.Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable and we can only recommend stopping here for a meal or to spend the night.

We returned there a second time, but there won't be another time and that after 15 years of loyalty. Massively disappointed, instead of an apology they lied. That's not how you treat guests. …

We ate at the Weinklause restaurant twice in a row and were thrilled. The portion can be ordered individually, which we think is excellent. The kitchen just has it all. The friendly and attentive waiters round off the stay. Unfortunately our vacation is now over, otherwise we would definitely have come again.Best regards!!!

The Weinklause is a wonderful hotel with a lot of charm. I stayed in the annex and had a great single room with a balcony and a view of the mountains. Unfortunately, during my stay there was construction work on the street in front of and behind the house, but of course the hotel can't do anything about that. The breakfast, which was included in the room price, was a dream. It wasn't too much, but it was of top quality and absolutely sufficient. There were fresh, delicious egg dishes, fresh fruit salad, great bread and many other delicacies. The grandpa of the house, who acts as an “egg man” for breakfast, is particularly charming. My absolute highlight, fried eggs fresh from the pan.The staff at breakfast were also incredibly nice, courteous and always on their toes. It was a pleasure, thank you for that. The hotel is super centrally located, I was able to do everything on foot.During my stay I was able to use the included mountain railway card more often, which was a big advantage. The hotel also has a lovely small spa area with a sauna.Unfortunately, despite my great experience, I had to deduct a point, unfortunately this is due to the check-in and check-out. There was no staff to be found for 20 minutes at check-in. The only thing that saved this experience was the fortunate fact that I ran into the grandpa of the house and he was nice enough to offer me a drink (absolutely magical). I then went on a short trip and in the early evening I was able to check in with a very nice employee.Unfortunately, the check-out was rather rushed because the employee had a phone call and squeezed me in between them. Unfortunately, that somewhat spoiled the overall impression; I wanted to say personally that I really enjoyed it. But that didn't happen. But beyond that, a really nice stay in a hotel that I can really recommend.

(Refers to the restaurant)This was our second time in Oberstdorf and we returned to the restaurant several times. The reception is very friendly and the staff is very attentive and concerned about the well-being of the guests. The menu is varied and the food is really tasty. The portion size is also good. The “Weinklause” also lives up to its name when it comes to the selection of drinks; the wines are round in taste, full-bodied and very pleasant. We mostly sat on the covered terrace, preferably near the fireplace, where a warming wood fire burns on cool days. I would like to give 5 stars for the ambience, inside and out.

As with almost every Odorf holiday, we went to the Weinklause again today for dinner and everyone was very happy. No matter whether venison goulash, fillet pots, salad or chanterelles. A phenomenon for me is the staff, which is a colorful mix of different nationalities. Everyone is very friendly and professional. And the senior boss still comes by the table.
