I booked the hotel because it was close to Freiburg and the motorway. I just wanted to quickly pick up the key and move on. After I found the tiny 1.2m reception desk in the middle of the bar counter, I was succinctly informed under the heading "overbooked" that there were no more free rooms. It could have been a system error, but it is more likely that it was given to a known customer or someone staying overnight... Neither my private cell phone nor the one from the company with Vodafone Global Flatrate had reception there. I was sent to an alternative hotel, 9km in the wrong direction, which I would have had to drive a total of 4 times more and which I couldn't check beforehand due to the lack of internet. There was a family celebration there, no parking available either in the hotel parking lot or anywhere else. Since I had already lost far too much time, I continued on and when I arrived in Freiburg I informed the hotel and asked for a credit. Despite asking, no response, no apology, no credit. Escalation now via the booking website, but they can't reach anyone there either. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels and nothing like this has ever happened before, except on flights. Highly disorganized and unprofessional shop in a dead zone. If you book there, it's best to pack a weatherproof tent! I had to drive back 300 km in the middle of the night, great, thank you very much for nothing

The hotel initially made a good impression on me when I booked. However, the room on the 2nd floor was already getting old. The service at dinner was really okay thanks to the Eastern European staff - but at breakfast it was more than disappointing. The buffet was looted. When I asked for some more scrambled eggs, the boss replied….only if he had time….unfortunately he didn’t have it. Rolls with jam had to be enough. Well...we won't be coming back and unfortunately we can't recommend it. Too bad!!!

We booked a comfort family room with 3 beds as no other room was available for that night. The room was on the 2nd floor (without elevator). …

A beautiful country inn, with good connections to the A5 motorway. Everything nicely furnished. The outdoor area is also very cozy and invites you to spend a cozy evening with a good glass of wine. There is also delicious beer. The food is very good and everyone should get their money's worth at breakfast too. The staff is super nice and attentive. Everything fits! We felt comfortable.

“Just” for dinner, as always, since we live around the corner. And, as always, everything was wonderful, thanks to the summery August in the garden under the old maple tree, the ambience is hard to beat. The Amuse Geule included a very fine, local greaves and got off to a good start. The steak in pepper cream and fries was simply “awesome”.Very fine meat, crispy fries and the sauce with youvery special whistle. In addition, we have almost fallen away from the faith, a 2015 Crianzafrom Rioja, an absolute hit, you wouldn't expect it to be in a dreamy country inn on the Kaiserstuhl. So, as always, including very attentive service, a tasty dinner in a super relaxed atmosphere.
