2 years ago we went for dinner during the holidays and were thrilled by the food and the beautiful view. This year we were on vacation in the Black Forest again and went there again at lunchtime at 3 p.m., as warm food is offered on the internet throughout the day. But unfortunately they were rejected. The waitress explained that she was alone. There were roughly 15 guests on site. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! We spoke to people locally in the valley who were able to confirm this situation. VERY Pity!!!

Yesterday we were in the Biereckle, ordered a latte and a cappuccino, the cappuccino came wrong, the service person noticed it at the same time and brought the cappuccino we ordered. After a while we wanted to pay, the money was on our table, the head of service noticed it after I said something said, the gentleman reacted and passed it on to the counter. Now we had to wait and wait, even though people came in for dinner, our waitress continued to clean without charging us. Something like that is no longer possible these days. You really noticed that we didn't consume enough. When you left, you would think that the lady at the check-in would say goodbye, no, nothing, friendliness is free

The Biereck restaurant has a very attractive location and offers a nice ambience that creates a pleasant atmosphere. The food was also excellent – we were thrilled with the quality and presentation of the dishes.Unfortunately our impression was clouded by the service. Our service was unfriendly and often seemed rude, which we believe is inappropriate in the service area. We understand that there is currently a shortage of skilled workers in the hospitality industry, but a friendlier and more professional approach would be welcome. Because of this experience we decided not to tip.It's a shame that the service didn't match the otherwise overall positive overall experience.

The Hotel Munde in the Black Forest is truly a very special retreat. The location on the edge of the forest, with a view of the valley and the surrounding mountains, creates an atmosphere of peace and relaxation. You immediately feel “above things” and can switch off wonderfully.The journey to the hotel takes you far up the mountain and deep into the forest, but that's exactly what makes it so special. The secluded location is absolutely worth it - if you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the right place for you.The rooms are simply fantastic - modern and stylishly furnished, with great attention to detail and high-quality materials, especially the wood, which was processed by regional craftsmen. The perfect mix of comfort and modernity! Added to this is the fantastic food in the Biereck, which leaves nothing to be desired. An absolute insider tip: The carpaccio – incredibly tasty and definitely recommended!The small wellness oasis with sauna and natural pool is also a real highlight. Ideal for unwinding after an eventful day.A small note: I had no cell phone reception there with Vodafone - but that can also be an advantage if you really want to switch off completely. :-)But the best thing is the staff – absolutely friendly, courteous and always with a smile. You really feel completely comfortable and well looked after here. A wonderful place for a break in idyllic surroundings! I'll definitely be back.Really great hotel! Highly recommended.

Rating for the restaurant:Until last year, the Biereck restaurant was okay for me in terms of price with fair prices for the outdoor area.Price:This year they have turned the price screw quite a bit. In the Hofstetten or Kinzigtal region, prices are at the upper end.Eat:For me the prices are okay if the performance is right. But the performance at top prices placed in the middle segment is simply unrealistic. In the Hofstetten valley you can get much better performance at similar prices.At the beginning of the test corner, the whole thing was justifiable for me. The fact that you don't learn anything when it comes to arranging etc. is fatal for me. I ate different dishes at different times and therefore think the impression is somewhat representative.Shortly:For me there is a wide gap between expectations and reality. You raise the prices and the performance doesn't get even remotely better. I would want to justify price adjustments by increasing performance.

We stayed at Hotel Munde for two nights. Beautiful area, very well-kept hotel, super nice service staff! The food in the restaurant was very good. The beer garden is also wonderful, where you can end the day after a seminar. Would always recommend it. We were definitely not there for the last time.

There is a star deduction for the non-existent awning over the playground. We felt sorry for the children playing there in the heat...Maybe it would be a nice idea for next year.Otherwise very nice atmosphere and food.

Hotel is nice and secluded to switch off from stressful everyday life. Good walks and hiking trails are right in front of the house and you have nothing but greenery around you. Service in the evening could be even more coordinated, but they are friendly and benevolent. Hotel rooms are cozy and comfortably furnished.

We visited the Hotel during August, we were 4 families each with 2 kids ages are between 6-10 and 1 small baby.the view and location is breath taking, rooms are new and modern but cozy, everything is spotless clean and comfortable.staff is very friendly, welcoming and very helpful.the restaurant is very good, so good that we used it for the entire stay. kids enjoyed the trampoline and swings, we didn't get to try the pool but it looked inviting.

If you love nature, this place is perfect. It's super modern and great for starting many outdoor activities. Plus, they have tons of EV chargers, which was really handy.The rooms are excellent, modern and high quality. The Black Forest cake was amazing, and all the food was delicious. The salads had great dressing, and the staff was super friendly.The wooden decor was really cool, and the dining area was so calming. We'll definitely be back!

We were there for 2 nights. Rooms were nice, modern and comfortable.The pool is a highlight with an indoor sauna (quite small and the sauna and pool area are not separated, so families with children sit together in the sauna in swimwear).The breakfast buffet is also extensive, with a large selection of cheeses and vegan spreads.The staff was nice and attentive. However, we hadn't received any information that the room wasn't cleaned every day (which was totallyOk, but it would be good to know) and unfortunately there was no good agreement between the waiters in the restaurant, so we ended up paying something even though we hadn't ordered it. However, the food in the restaurant is very tasty and there are many veggie options here too. We would relax here again for a few days at any time and can also recommend the hikes around the Heidburg.

For me the most important thing: incredibly warm, courteous and attentive employees - in the hotel and in the restaurant.We had a great stay, with a beautiful design room, very good and varied breakfast and really enjoyed the sauna and pool. The food in the restaurant was also really great during the day and evening!
