We ate here for the first time today and didn't have a reservation. When we came in the waitress looked a bit strange because we had our children (11 & 13) with us.When we got the menu we realized why...absolutely unfriendly to children! There wasn't a single dish that children would like to eat, especially not a children's menu! The food took forever and the portions were a joke for the price. When we wanted to pay, we were held back for ages until I got up and went to the front to pay!I then expressed my dissatisfaction to the “nice” waitress and she justified the waiting time by saying that after all we hadn’t made a reservation and 1 hour 30 was completely normal in the restaurant😡we were in this restaurant for the first and last time, in which there is absolutely no sign of hospitality!

We didn't stay at the hotel, but were invited to the restaurant by my friend for dinner on the occasion of his birthday. It was a beautiful summer day and we and our 9 guests were assigned a nice table in the garden. It was a very beautiful garden with a great atmosphere and stylishly set tables. Since the Ochse mostly only had good reviews on Google, we were of course excited about the evening. What followed was a calm, attentive and very nice service that accompanied us throughout the evening. However, it was noticeable that the three ladies who served the rather large garden throughout the evening were a little floundering as it became more and more crowded and there were a little problems with the service, especially with the wine service. The menu was large and extensive, but not necessarily cheap for what was on offer. Since my friend had decided that we should order a la carte, we chose the curry prawns with salad for € 19.00 as a starter from the menu. What came were very nice, perfectly fried shrimps with a slight hint of curry and, how should I put it; a somewhat boring salad consisting of lettuce leaves with a run-of-the-mill dressing. No sprouts, no chutney, no curry dip for the shrimp, nothing at all. We were a little disappointed. For the main course we ordered the grain fed entrecote with two types of sauces, vegetables and potato gratin for €37 and the roasted lamb rump with ratatouille for €44. Unfortunately we were not satisfied here either. Grain fed means that the meat is additionally fed with grain before slaughter so that the meat is well coated with fatty fibers. This gives the meat a completely different taste and juiciness. This is also how it was described on the map. First of all, our entrecote was not an entrecote, but a rump steak. The service should have communicated this in any case because it is a completely different piece of meat in terms of taste and consistency. Then there was no noticeable hint of fat because the meat was very firm, if not hard, to the bite. The two sauces and the vegetables were delicious. With the potato gratin we got a cocotte that had clearly been in the oven for too long. The top is already very dry and sometimes very dark. The taste was ok, but it was also very cooked and soft in the potato. My wife ordered her lamb rump nice and medium, but it was almost cooked through. We thought that was a shame given the tender flesh of the hips. If we hadn't been invited and had been there in a group and eaten alone in the Ochsen, we would certainly have had to return this plate to the kitchen. That was a real shame about the beautiful lamb. In this respect, we were not that happy with our food and would unfortunately only be able to give the kitchen 3 points that evening. We didn't have any dessert anymore. But what we saw from our friends was beautifully garnished and obviously tasted very good. Nevertheless, we had a cozy and sociable birthday evening with our friends at the Gasthaus zum Ochsen and would love to come back again

If you don’t speak German, don’t have a car, and want air condition don’t go here. They also don’t have any one helping you on Sunday. If you want to eat, have any drink or any help, there is no one at reception desk or help. They have no desire to help gusts either. I went hungry all day on Sunday and town was closed.

We spent one night here on our trip to Corsica. The suite we booked was huge, comfortable and clean. We felt very comfortable there. Parking available directly in front of the hotel. In the evening we ate in the hotel restaurant. We hadn't reserved a table and had to wait a moment. We passed the time with a drink at the bar. And after a few minutes at the bar, we were assigned a table. The menu was manageable, but a very good selection. The food was excellent and the service was very attentive. All in all we were very satisfied.
