We spent the weekend in the Stuub Hinterzarten for two days.In addition to the previously announced 250 euros, we also had to pay over 70 euros for tourist taxes and dogs. We were a bit frustrated with the service on site.Why do we pay 70 euros for extra cleaning because of the two dogs when the room wasn't even cleaned?A one-time flat rate of 15 euros per dog = 30 euros total would be acceptable but why twice?We were promised a wellness area, and one bath towel was provided per person for the entire stay - how do you plan to offer a wellness area if there is only one towel? Just a cloth for a sauna, drying off and everything?Last but not least, we had breakfast twice at 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Both times, many things were already empty or almost empty and we didn't really have a full selection?The room we were given (probably the worst because we had dogs with us) was anything but “luxurious” in terms of layout and size as promised on the Booking.com website…We go home disappointed - we wanted to stay in a hotel and were willing to pay something for it.For 100 euros less we could have gone to a youth hostel with at least the same service, if not better.By the way, there was no staff anywhere to answer questions - everything is digital at check-in, which is certainly a positive if everything is running smoothly - but if you have any questions/problems you are on your own.But what bothers us most is the statement: Pets are allowed and then the pets cost 1/3 of the total price…You should rather write: Pets allowed for large additional fees.We will be coming back to Hinterzarten very soon – we really enjoyed the area.However, we will no longer inquire about the “hotels” on Stuub.de – for us it wasn’t a hotel, it was an overpriced youth hostel.

Check-in is not as easy as stated. Dirty room, hair everywhere on the floor and in the bathroom. Sour soy milk at the breakfast buffet! No possibility of letting fresh air into the room as the street below the hotel is very loud. The rooms are also very noisy, so much so that you can hear the toilet flushing in the other room in the middle of the night. Only one blanket for two people, not everyone wants that, and unfortunately there are no staff nearby who can ask! The mattresses are worn out. Program channels do not work. Dead mosquitoes all over the ceiling! Not everyone gets parking, it's like traveling to Jerusalem. First come first served! Conclusion: I would definitely not recommend this room and it is not worth the money, actually a shame!

Solid basis without great luxury. Unfortunately, very, very noisy street. Good view, new clean small sauna and gym. Beds weren't the most comfortable unfortunately, we didn't sleep well for 3 nights - also due to a lack of fresh air as the street was too loud to open the windows. Reserve a room at the back as a tip. Easy parking in front of the door, easy self check-in. Room service every 3 days, not daily. Didn't use breakfast, looked ok for €15 but not spectacular. Would we come back? For the regular price no, we had a special offer, but maybe yes.

We were there for 4 days, check in was easy and without complications. Breakfast is amazing and really tasty and healty, the choice is big and there is something for everyone. Room is a bit smaller but big enough. Sauna is nothing special, but there is sauna so for me also good enough. Staff is really friendly, and they wellcome you every morning with a big smile. Parking slot is a bit small (not enough space) but you can park on the street right next to it, so it is also not a problem. We couldn't connect to Netlfix (yes we tried with our own account, but we didn't need it). Location is perfect, Titisee is close, town is close and tankstelle is close, a bit loud because the road is close, but for me also no problem. So for the money that we paid we got perfect Urlaub, and would love to come back any time ☺️
