The only positive point is that it is relatively close to Europa Park.Very poorly signposted in this unwelcoming industrial area. The receptionist doesn't speak French, too bad.The reception closes at 9 p.m. and there is no other way to contact them after that.In the morning, reception does not open. We had to deduce that all we had to do was leave our room card on the desk. No one to tell us.Cleanliness leaves something to be desired: hairdryer that has never been cleaned, full of dust. Piles of dust on the edge of the windows, under the bed, around the lights and so on.Very cold room when we arrived: radiator off + window open even though we arrived at 9 p.m.The heater makes an impressive noise when running. Difficult to fall asleep. The bathroom ventilation takes 20/30 minutes to turn off.Very disappointing breakfast: fruit juice mixed with water so no taste. 2 loaves of bread chasing each other and a few eggs. Absolutely nothing incredible.Luckily we were there for only one night.

The Sporthotel Kenzingen offers a versatile combination of sporting opportunities, comfort and hospitality. The facility is modern and well-maintained, and there is a wide range of sports and leisure options that appeal to sports enthusiasts and those seeking relaxation alike. The fitness and wellness areas in particular are excellently equipped, and the swimming pool offers the perfect opportunity to relax after a long day.The rooms are comfortably furnished and offer everything you need for a pleasant stay. The cleanliness throughout the hotel is remarkable, and attention is paid to small details, which makes the stay all the more pleasant. The restaurant at the Sporthotel Kenzingen is a highlight. The menu is varied and includes fresh, regional dishes that are prepared with love. The breakfast is also rich and offers a good selection of fresh dishes, so you can start the day well strengthened. The service in the hotel is consistently friendly and accommodating. The staff is helpful and always available to answer questions or fulfill requests. You really feel welcome and well looked after here.Overall, the Sporthotel Kenzingen is an excellent choice, whether you are looking for sporting activities, relaxing or simply want to enjoy a pleasant stay. With its modern facilities, delicious food and friendly service, it offers everything you need for a successful stay.

The only positive thing about the (sports) hotel was its proximity to Europa Park and Rulantica. Now I would like to list the negative points:- Room was really not clean, cobwebs on the windows and in the rooms- a lot of dust under the bed- The last time the hairdryer was cleaned felt like x years ago (risk of fire or injury cannot be ruled out)- Bistro opening times are misleading, supposedly only open on Mondays, but then suddenly it's "company vacation"- Even in the breakfast room there were broken tables, risk of injury- the spider in the cobwebs at the table wasn't really worth seeing eitherI would not recommend this hotel and I think a repeat visit is out of the question.

We booked from Friday to Sunday, but left on Saturday. We had never seen such a trekky room (hotel) before, stains on the carpet, toilet wasn't cleaned, cobwebs everywhere. Breakfast was a disaster, old rolls, no selection, stained chairs(Wobbly chairs). Reception apparently doesn't take calls, hotel lighting is non-existent, there's not one light in the parking lot. It still annoys me today, how can you run a hotel like that? The hotel is apparently run by young people. No one there seemed to be over 30 years old.

As a guest of the sports hotel, you have to adhere to enormous restrictions when using the pool and sauna: There is a whole DIN A4 page with different opening times every day available for hotel guests at the reception. You wouldn't have thought that when booking . The instructions from reception and gym on how to enter the "spa area" were also different and confusing.Beds without mattress protectors are not necessarily clean and unfortunately not particularly comfortable. Breakfast okay.Nearby (approx. 10 minutes on foot) are Edeka, Aldi and dm.

We stayed at this hotel for the first time at the weekend but certainly not the last time. Super friendly reception that makes many things possible. We could e.g. We couldn't arrive within reception hours, so they left us the key card in the night safe with really detailed instructions on what we had to do and where we had to go. We had a family room with a double bed and 2 single beds and a large bathroom. At breakfast everything was available and if something was empty it was immediately refilled. The hotel has a swimming pool, tennis courts, fitness studio, etc., but we didn't use it due to the short time available. The proximity to Europa Park is great. Only 11km away.A great alternative to the very expensive Europa Park hotels

I stayed in this hotel about 3 years ago and actually have fond memories of it. Now I was there again with a friend from September 7th, 2024 to September 10th, 2024 because we were going to Europa Park for two days. And was totally shocked and disappointed. The corridors/doors in the hotel were full of cobwebs. In the entrance area there are very large plants and these are full of huge spider webs where you could easily see that they hadn't been cleaned for a long time. The lamps in the hallways are also the same. The room was ok and thank God it was clean but there was no way to dry our towels and swimsuits from the pool so we had to take our own wet towels and swimsuits home with us. The heating in the bathroom or the towel dryer didn't work.Breakfast wasn't good at all - you can even make a better breakfast at home. At 8:30 almost everything was empty and almost nothing was filled up. The milk for the muesli/Kellogs was warm except for once.Frozen rolls a few times and thawing them again - you can just taste them. The serving trolley that was used to clear away breakfast was completely yellowed and dirty, as if it had never been cleaned. A very big cheek, which didn't work at all: at the second breakfast (which was closer to 8 because we wanted to grab something fresh) the employee at the reception who was responsible for breakfast said "Yay, the last ones then I can go home sooner." a very bad feeling. We then noticed that the hotel was understaffed. But for me that is no excuse for all the negative points. We had a great time in the hotel restaurant last evening. My girlfriend ordered a salad with turkey strips and I ordered a cordon blue with a side salad. When she put my friend's salad on the table I thought to myself, who are you kidding? That was pork meat instead of turkey. If there was no more turkey, ok, but then you should say that or ask. My girlfriend, for example, could have been crazy about it.My side salad was an absolute joke. There were exactly 5 leaves of green lettuce, NOTHING else! No tomatoes, no cucumbers, onions or whatever. There was also something completely wrong with my Cordonblue. It was very funny in terms of consistency - you could really pull it apart or it fell apart. It also tasted rather sour with the cheese and ham. If you pressed something on it, no fat came out, but rather something watery. The fries were the only thing you could eat. I've really never experienced anything like that, lack of staff or not, but as a guest you expect impeccable quality. Of course it's not a star hotel, but you'll notice that they save where they can. Thank goodness we spent most of our time in Europa Park or the pool which was fine. I don't know how the other hotel guests found it here, but I can't imagine that all of these things weren't noticed. I don't need Schchiki Miki but please everything should be CLEAN and the food should have a certain quality. This hotel will never see me again. I strongly suspect that there may have been a change of tenant within the 3 years.
